Meireles was not a natural CMF, everytime he did play in the position he would always give the opponents possession is silly circumstances which was a huge liability, im still glad to this day he never played against Bayern in the UCL due to match ban, he is naturally an AMF but at that he wasnt overly fantastic either, would set torres up here and there ( happy to say i was at stamford bridge to witness torres score them 2 goals against leicster in the FA cup :p) and score a long range goal now and again. In real persepctive he had no real place in squad, with Hazard firmly in the 1st team and mata, the likes of Oscar, Ramires there was no chance for Meireles. I believe Andre Schurrle would of been a better signing than Moses, Moses' goal to shot ratio last year was 6:103 :/, we actually had a final bid made for Schurrle before the deadling day but never heard of the outcome. my worst nightmare is Torres getting injured before january, leaving the job to Sturridge in that scenario may be risky, he definetaly gifted but has he grown as a player to understand he is has a team on the field with him aswell?
EDIT: and yes his hair did make me cringe at times :?

To be honest, with the position we're in, I would have had Meireles at Spurs to bulk up our midfield. Haha.

But yeah, 2 was the first squad number Dempsey was ever assigned, and his nickname is 'Deuce' etc. - it's obviously sentimental to him, but still. I thought it was cool that Arouna Kone did it, but now it's happened with one of ours, I think it's a bit odd. I'd rather he took #9.

Some other things;

Zdenek Grygera has not been named in Fulham's 25 man squad for the league, and has been removed from the profile section on the website. Fair to assume that's him done at Fulham :p

Footballsquads.co.uk lists Henriquez as Man Utd's #21. Not sure on their source but they're usually pretty definitive. Anyone planning a build face for him?

@ 'phonic - I've changed Henriquez to #21. Makes sense- that number's free now. This also made me spot I'd missed the Man U number updates so I've fixed that.


I've gone with a 4-4-2 for them to get Rooney and RvT up top. They've played 4-2-3-1 in each match so far so that might be another one that could change. Basically what I'm saying is I reserve the right to change everything all the time no matter how irritating it is :rolleyes:.

EDIT: Oh and I'm getting rid of Grygera. I'm gonna keep a lookout on him but he seems to have been swept under the rug- there's no confirmation or even anything that could be classed as news but there's also not a strong argument for keeping him in.

It's looks pretty close to spot on for me, it's going to change depending on match/situation with Rooney as either the SS or dropping back to the middle of the 3. The only thing I would change is putting Kagawa where Young is & Scholes where Kagawa is.

But as you said you reserve the right to change what you like :)

Also Bebe has a Preset doesnt he?

He's definitely hidden in the depths of the game. I have a database editor so I'm not sure which version, as I can access any players removed etc. - but he is an Australian (I think) youngster. He was #48.

I finally managed to get on my Playstation... aaand forgot to do any of the stuff I was supposed to so I haven't checked if I had Inman or if Bebe has a preset (he's not on luuk's list so I'm still leaning towards no). Maybe Inman's another of the hidden players like Snodgrass. He hasn't been out on loan as far as I can find so I don't know why he'd be taken out.

@ akiel - Thanks. I realise it ended up being a stupid request but I was looking in the wrong places. I've added him and changed the Arsenal squad lineup- I had Arshavin down as an SS since forever and when I look, he's a LMF. Oops.

@ paul - Could we get some stats for Gnabry to go with akiel's build please? (and maybe Yennaris and Eisfeld when you have time?). Ta for the United lineup suggestion- trying to second guess what a formation will be when it's not the team you support is more or less guesswork.

I'd stopped making players that were at IG teams with the new game so close, but I will do them as they may not make it into the game.

I know what you mean with line ups I'm useless unless its Utd. It's just my opinion but if everyone was fit & on form (& Scholes was 2 or 3 years younger) I think that would be Fergie's preffered line up for most games.

@ akiel - Good stuff. Keep 'em coming. This transfer's been waiting for clearance for six days now though. Do they not realise they're keeping me waiting?

Leroy Lita will go on loan to Birmingham at the weekend. I've moved Ashley Richards into the subs.

On another note, has anyone pre-ordered 2013 yet? I found it on argos.co.uk for £30.99 free delivery. It says it'll be delivered on the 28th September but it says a lot of things about delivery so I'm taking my chances.
