LFC without Carlsberg....the solution

I found out the other day that even though Liverpool are going to be licensed, they will not have carlsberg on their shirt which for me as a Reds fan seems pretty much a waste of a license as we are unable to edit licensed kits.

My solution

For those of you who are not particularly fussed about sponsorless Liverpool then thats fine but for those of you who want ultimate realism then here is what i have came up with.

Can we not edit an unwanted team such as WE United or chelsea :p (Joke) and rename them Liverpool and make the full kit for them (which in all fairness will probably look better than the real licensed kits ) and also transfer all the liverpool players over into this newly changed squad and abandon the sponsorless Liverpool ?

Seems like it can be done to me, what do you think, are their any flaws that prevent us from doing this ? Fill me in .

Dont shoot me down if im wrong :p

I imagine you could do that yeah, but the new Liverpool wouldn't be in the Premier League, especially for "League Mode" etc when you're playing.

Ye true.
However, i dont ever use league mode as i dont see the point when you have master league.
I wonder however if this would effect be a legend mode because i know my eventual aim would be to play for liverpool and this would only possible with my method if i could put newly edited LFC in place of Sponsorless LFC from the begginning, will have to wait and see i suppose. :)

cant see why this wouldnt work, so long as its not in the other leagues over teams A,B,C ect as they are not eligible for the master league whereas WE or PES utd are so that should be fine. its a major pain that they dont advertise alchol, why is this, would they have to make it an 18, surely not, its especially stupid since kids can watch footie on TV from like 8AM on the match of the day repeat to stuff like football focus and actual live matches, these all have both alchol and betteing advertised. its a waste having celtic and rangers as well but since we get 2 prem teams make it some team we will notice rather than a team with a drink as a sponsor, at first i thought it was a fair choice liverpool been in the big 4 but then i thought about there sponsor and its not!

Simply adding the logo (by logo i think you mean sponsor) to the strip seems highly unlikely. Konami have never let us edit any licensed kits which makes perfect sense really as they pay a lot of money for these licenses.

So this is certain that LFC won't have the logo? Well I think it's a waste of license. But with the new edit mode, I won't bother.

It's not 100% sure that Liverpool will not have the Carlsberg Logo, i think we have to wait to see if it does or does not.

Just like the teams for the Spanish League, they will have the kits, but not the La Liga logo, so, who knows.

Fifa do have the carlsberg sponsor so therefore their should be no reason why pes 09 cant have the sponsor right?

Fingers crossed they do have it so we are not forced to go thru with this method and yeah as you said if they are sponsorless then it is one big loss of a license really :S

not having carlsy on the lpool kit would piss me off slightly but wouldnt be a major issue.... ill just see how things go like if you can edit the kit or if you can get an option file or the net or somthing...... you never kno but the kit may look better because i remember buying the black 3rd kit with no carlsy and it look rather nice!

and another thing i have not seen any pes09 screens for liverpool so you never kno could be a rumor that no logo on the kit!

i was on xbox when pro5 was out so i couldn't get 6 as it wasn't released on that platform. in 5 arsenal had that burgundy kit and chelsea were sponsored by umbro and as i was using the game the season later i wanted the teams in the propper strips.
what i did was use pes and we utd, edited the kits to chelsea with adidas and arsenal in the new red and white, then took a while swapping the players around.
as the badges were already in the game i just selected them then put them on the kits.
i never used the league mode so i wasn't bothered abour the english league having a messed up arsenal and chelsea.
it may be possible to do this with 09 and put carlsberg on liverpool

^Yeah maybe we could do that. I used to do it on ps2. Byt maybe this year we can choose the LFC kit and choose edited insread off default. Then edit it ourselves.

Im guessing Konami will allow us to edit Liv sponsor logo bcoz they didnt pay for it, maybe just for the logo. We can just put the Carlsberg logo in there. Now we can use PNG pic as well, so it will be less hasle with the background color and all coz we can make it transparent.

Just a guess though. Hopefully we can.
