Licensed CL Teams

Since the UEFA Champions League licence does not include the rights to all the participating clubs and a number of licences are held exclusively by EA Sports, not all Champions League clubs will be licensed in the game. However, the following Champions League clubs will be fully licensed:

Barcelona
Basel
Bordeaux
Celtic
CFR Cluj
Dynamo Kyiv
Fenerbahçe
Fiorentina
Inter
Juventus
Liverpool
Olympique Lyonnais
Manchester United
Olympique Marseille
Panathinaikos
Porto
PSV
Real Madrid
A.S. Roma
Shakhtar Donetsk
Sporting
Steaua Bucureşti
Villarreal
Zenit St. Petersburg


24 out of the 32 teams are licensed. So i guess thats Chelsea, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Anorthosis Famagusta, Bate Borisov, Werder Bremen, Aalborg BK and Bayern Munich that aren't licensed in the game. Hopefully the WENB OF that comes out on release day fixes that.

All of you are such a bunch of whiners. PES cant get the licenses because FIFA has them. Its not as if they purposely left teams unlicensed

I'm not just complaining about the 8 unlicensed teams, I'm complaining that it's a seperate mode altogether, I'm sure I won't be playing the CL mode everyday as it will become very old very quickly. Konami is only using the CL license from a marketing standpoint and NOT to add to the overall game experience! Why couldn't they just implement it into Master League?

Mate you have to understand it's not just the case of if Konami have the license they can do whatever they want, UEFA still might have certain conditions like it can only be used in a mode etc.

Who cares if they did use it as a marketing point it's still very good and does give the game more longevity.

EA are the biggest game makers in the world they're buying everything up it's a monopoly, simple as.

End of the day if the dude got his source from wiki then it is more than likely bullshit. & I totally agree with R9NAL9!!!

How many times are you gonna wanna get through the group stage then the last 16 in the CL mode? You don't even have to earn the right to play in the cup, so you aint gona be pissed off or emotional if you miss out on qualifying from CL group stage... you just think, fuck it, i'll start again!!!

In Master league mode you have to earn the right to play in the european competition. slog ya guts out to finish in 1st or 2nd so you can enter the big stage. Tricky qualifying group stage tHen get torn aparT by a rampant madrid, barca or Inter side. TBH... it will save me having to dish out 30-40 quid on new controllers after mine get chucked about when I concede a late penalty in the dying seconds of the European championship final - Still don't take away the fact of how I know i'd rather be playin the CL mode... and thats with it being incorporated into the ML mode

Nah mate... Konami lost the La Liga license to FIFA. So we get a shitty CL mode instead that probably won't have half of the teams in it licensed. Don't take my word for it, I am just on a bitof a PES downer at the moment!

Why is it a disappointment, 24/32 teams are licensed, i think thats great. The other 8 teams will be licensed once someone releases an option file, or with the editing mode, you could just do it yourself, it will be easy. I think it will be great having the CL as a seperate mode. You could challenge yourself, thats what PES is all about, presenting yourself with challenges, try and win the CL with Cluj on the hardest difficulty, you'll soon get your longevity out of the game.

id of thought so too, weve already seen madrid and barcelona, id of presumed ath madrid would be licensed.

its is dissapointing that its a seperate mode, however whenever i got bored of ragging a m8 we would partner up and go in a co-op world cup, so this will be a nice addition to save us always doing the world cup, however we could just have done the konami cup, and put the CL teams in there. still a bit of authenticity wont go a miss!

That's what I actually do, edit it myself. But it would be more pleasing if all teams were licensed.
