Hi guys,

I have the European version, or PAL version of Madden NFL 09 PS3. And unfortunately I don't have an internet connection at home, can anybody that has the latest roster update please mail me the file? I tried to download the roster files on the internet from work, but they don't want to work, my Madden just doesn't pick it up, as if there is no roster file on my ps3. I haven't installed either one of the patches, could this be the problem? Or do I need the European version of the roster file? As far as I have it Madden isn't programmed with regions.

Haven't played it for a few weeks due to other new releases. I'm guessing the update will be an auto-prompt through PSN. If I get chance tonight I'll have a butchers...

I read on the internet you have to access online game, as if you want to play online, that way the game will prompt you that it wants to download the latest roster update.

Will it be possible for you to maybe send me the roster update please? I don't have an internet connection at home :(

Had a look this morning mate. No update prompt on startup, no ingame message, even checked EA online... nothing.

Thanks for the effort, did you even try to play an online game? Cause I read when you try to play someone online you get prompted to download the latest rosters.

Didn't go as far as actually playing an online game... I'd be surprised if you had to go that far, but knowing EA, anything is possible.

This game is shit compared to NCAA Football 2009. The announcing is terrible and the Computer AI is frustrating to say the very least. NCAA has some great atmosphere and crowd interaction. I'd love to see a soccer game do something similar.

About 2 years ago I loved Madden but since they bought exclusive licensing rights to the NFL the game has gone down hill because it has no competition. It is a lot better than last year's version though so perhaps the game play will improve once they sort out the new generation hardware kinks.

yeah EA sucks, but I read on the madden forums that you had to go through the menus as is you are going to play online, then you will get prompted. Can I ask you a huge favour please, please do this for me and go into a online game with someone, if you don't get prompted, i will leave you in peace :)

I'll give it a try... never played madded online before... got stuck in the superstar mode. In fact, haven't played anything but superstar mode on 09.

Looking at the saved files setup, depending where/how it downloads a squad update, not sure I could copy it anyhow, but as I say, I'll give it a try & let you know.

You download it, save it on your flash disk and transfer it to your PS3 just like a PES OF, enjoy!
