Man U Licensed?

TheOwlz86

Absolute Legend!!!
Iv'e heard that Manchester United are licensed for PES6, but due to EA having the license, Konami can only license two teams from the Premiership, which means if Man U are licensed iv'e heard that Chelsea will miss out, so Arsenal & Man U are licensed!

Can someone please tell me where the logic in that is?

The Pro Evo team seem to be doing stupid thing each year to make me wonder are they really serious about making PES games?

Iv'e also heard something else about there not being as many Yellow/Red cards, again another poor decision by Konami, i hardly got any cards in PES5 so why are they changing this to less of them lol.

All this is making me wanna turn to FIFA!

not less cards, they mean less cards for stupid tackles which aint even fouls. And less little fouls means less cards. Chelsea will be licensed as John Terry has resinged so I reckon they will be.

They cant be though beacuse they are only allowed to license two English teams, until they get the full license, which will be in the year 2050 at this rate.

And someone said if you look on the box of winning eleven john terry is on it, but he's not wearing the new chelsea kit, i dunno what to make of it all.

Winning Eleven 9 ? Were Chelsea even sponsored on that game ?

As far as I'm aware Konami is now allowed 3 teams licensed this year and they have chosen Manchester United as that extra team. I'll find the article in a minute hopefully.

Manchester United will join the ranks of officially licensed teams for Pro Evolution Soccer 6, it has been confirmed today, along with Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Olympiakos and the entire French top flight football league, the Ligue 1. PES 6 will also include official kits for the English, Italian, Spanish, Argentinean, French, Australian, Czech and Swedish national teams.

Additional info has also been confirmed for Pro Evolution Soccer 6 on PSP. The handheld version will now feature a Master League mode - although interactivity between PS2 and PSP ML teams has not been mooted - as well as a new camera angle offering a zoomed out view of the pitch to solve PSP's PES problems with long distance passing.

PS2 will also receive a boost in the form of new eight-player online matches. You'll be able to link up four machines, each with two players, to kick off these packed games, and we have it on strong authority that the crippling lag issue - where one half of an online match would always be near-impossible to play - has finally been sorted.

EDIT: This topic has already been made on several occasions, why would Konami take away something they already have ? They are allowed 1 additional Premiership team to license which they have to fully pay for and it appears they decided on Manchester United.

My advice, wait till the game comes out, your going to buy it whether it has 2 or 3 licensed teams right ? No squabble.

I doubt they'd drop Chelsea anyway, and thats a Chelsea home kit on the front of winning Eleven.

I read this yesterday at evoweb arsenal and manu licensed for pes6 don't know how much truth there is in it suposidly terry is still the face of pes 6 but if the licensing is the same as we10 which it most likely will be then it will Chelsea and arsenal.

Maybe they can liscence the top two teams of the previous season. In the 2004/05 season, chelsea were champions and arsenal second place, and these were the two teams liscenced of course. Last season United came second, meaning that they are liscenced along with Chelsea in this years PES.

Just a thought.

Konami's commitment to introduce new licences to the series is also confirmed at the Games Convention and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will include the fully-licensed kits for the Czech, French, Australian, English, Italian, Argentinian, Spanish and Swedish national sides. Similarly, the French Championat league has been added to the game following a new agreement, alongside Bayern Munich, Portugal's Sporting Lisbon and Benfica, Greek giants Olympiacos Piraeus, and Manchester United from England. The previously-announced Brasilian striker Adriano will appear on the German packaging, too.

Doesn't matter if they lose the Chelsea license because the in game editor is awesome anyway and we could easily edit chelsea back in the game. I think Konami is not dropping any of the EPL licenses and are licensing each club one at a time. I'm more curious how they are going to handle Juventus. Maybe they can put them in the "other club" section. It would be a shame to lose Juventus since they were one of Konami's first fully license clubs. As for Man Utd. being license, that fine and all but realize that the home/away kit they are wearing this year is only for one year so they will be outdated by May of next year.

chelsea will be licensed since the next gen pics show chelsea playin against inter...so its united, chelsea, arsenal...but if the rumors are true that they can only have 2 teams, then its arsenal whos out...plus, though i hate chelsea, why choose arsenal over them??? chel's the champs!!

If this is true, they will NOT lose the liscense for Chelsea and Arsenal due to Thierry henry and John Terry signing up. United would probably have someone sign up shortly if this is true (which I hope it is), any ideas on who it would be ? We can rule out Rooney as he has turned his attention to FIFA..... I can really see Pauly Scholes signing up (If im being totally honest, It would probably be Gazza Nev, or someone like him).
