Manual passing=PES the great simulation

I love this game as it is but i feel the normal passing on the A button makes the game less of a challenge. If you only use manual passing this game is a true great simulation, I think it is type 1 i use where you have to push down on the stick as well as choosing the direction. I have always used manual passing but now i have made a pact to myself never to use the default passing or crossing. It takes a long time to get used to but makes a massive difference to the gameplay as you cant just move the ball up the pitch without any effort. I am truly addicted to this game and it feels like the pes of old.

im on keyboard so dunt think its possible to use manual passing as it needs the right analog stick. am i correct to say that? or is there a way to change the config as well?

not sure mate but it really is worth looking into. The game is so much more of a challenge and feels like the ps2 game with polished graphics and game play. You must be able to get some kind of pad

i have a gamepad around but somehow i cant seem to configure both the left and right analog keys separately. they always override the other.

Because the through balls never ever seem to go where i want them to, i use manual pass instead...

using it for the normal passing aswell seems a bit too much,

but maybe thats just me :)

if it were a true simulation then they would come up with controllers for your feet lol

never really tried it. but is it actually possible to decide how much power to put into the manual pass? does the power bar appear?

it really is daunting but that is what makes it so enjoyable. Without sounding big headed i would regard myself as being a hugely experienced player. Today i started a master league with juve solely using manual for everything, crosses, passes, through balls etc, missed out on promotion for only the second time since the first master league on iss evo. Personally this is the reason why pes was so great in the first place, the challenge of becoming good at such a great game and this is the reason i play with manual now. It does take a long time to get used to but the game feels so wonderful and that is way i am going on so much as i want everyone to experience how engrossing the challenge of it is. You have to think about every pass you play weather a back pass or a simple square ball, this for me encapsulates the brilliance and challenge of football and the pes series as a whole. I dont see how people can use the normal pass button as it doesn't show the game for what it is and makes it feel aracdey. My advice to you all is go on a top player master league and struggle like fuck but have a truly great gaming experience. but be warned it is the most frustrating thing ever to get used to.

S-D-P what platform are you playing PES on??

On PC with my XBOX 360 Controls manual passing is horrid. Sure you can dictate the amount of power, but the direction is completly messed up. For me you cant create exact through balls etc... the pass automatically aims to the player...

Yeah...dont listen to him. This guy has bleated on and on about manual passing on other forums as well.

Manual passing certainly has it uses.....but overall it is very crude and limited in scope.

Use only manual passing and prepare to LOOOOOOOSE

I can't play a full game with manual pass. I need to train more. It's hard to get used to. But I think, if I do get used to it, it'll be great.

Is the manual passing different in PES2009? I have only tried the demo on PC. In previous games I couldnt even string 2 passes together with the right stick. I tend to think that if through ball's power was at least adjustable like in FIFA(not THAT accurate though), it would make the game feel more random and free.

Lol. I'm right behind you mate. That's good.

I still can't figure out how to use manual passing.

How do you connect your X360 controller to your PC?

I remember doing to training missions on PES1 on my PS2, man I sucked horribly, but it is a very cool feature, and I tried it once in a game, but it cost me a few years of my life and a controller. It is very hard, but I know a player who uses manual passing well will wipe the floor with a player using d-pad passing.

if you have a wired controller, just plug it into the USB.

on topic
i reckon that manual passing would be so much better if ot were like fifa.
its simple, but effective and so easy to grasp.
all you do is just hold down the button for as long as you want depending on power, and then release.
you still get the direction you want, but you can adjust the power.
