As for your point about Joe Cole taking a pay cut, the world is going through a global recession, and that's also affecting football. Surely you don't expect Konami to put that in the game?

of course i dont expect them to put that in the game, cole is being offered a reduced contract because he is older and is no longer worth 90,000 a week. look at arsenal for example, any player over 30 that requires a new contract gets a one year deal at a reduced weekly wage.

i do not disagree with you that wages increase but you have also said that tv deals etc increase, in pes 10 they do not. if you played the game for 20 seasons the wages increase by 3 times as much but the sponsorships do not, the money for winning the cups league etc do not. so how can the game expect you to continue if they do not increase the money coming in to the club as much as the wages increase. 58% of the clubs money goes out in wages, currently mine is 200% even when i'm winning every cup possible and i haven't bought a player for 2 years. so if they increase the wages they must also increase the income over the years. i bet manchester united received more money for winning the premier league last year than they did when they won it in 1999.

This is the main point, you should be "recycling" your players. If a player demands too much, let him go (or, ideally, sell him before contract negotiations start) and replace him with someone just as good or a little worse who wants less.

Anyone who plays the game for 20 seasons is hardcore player, and I think it's good that the difficulty increases.

i know how to solve the problem i'm just saying it is unrealistic. any player you keep longer than 7 years will ask for wages that cannot be afforded. but in the real game look at raul, scholes, giggs, maldini, zanette. all these players have only ever played for one club, in pes 10 it is impossible for this to happen, very unrealistic. i dont think man utd or barcelona will be ready to get rid of rooney or messi any time soon.

The best way for Konami to solve this problem is to have the finances of every single club in the game worked out in EXACTLY the same way as the player's club (sponsorship, prize money, bonuses, everything - it wouldn't be hard). This way, we wouldn't have the problems of people complaining that Arsenal (or whoever) "...have been spending 100+ million in every transfer window for each of the last four seasons even though I've been winning everything! How can they afford it?!"

Once finances are worked out in this way, all players in the game should be able to ask for whatever wages they think they are worth. Bear in mind that what a player is "worth" is whatever any ONE club is willing to pay for him. Pato will only ask for 27 million per year if he has reason to believe that another club will offer that if you say no, because, realistically, he would rather earn 27 with you than with any other club, but he'd rather move if staying would cost him 2 million pounds per year.

You can still say no, and then he'll start looking elsewhere. If he finds a 27 million pound contract with his name on it at another club, he'll go. If he doesn't. he'll come back to you with a lower number.

I think there is way too many flaws and I'm already spotting this just at the start of the second season.

Check my youth team and there is an 87 rated 16 year old goalkeeper. Apparently he could end up as good as Cech well no wonder only 2 behind anyway.

I think they've missed some coding, as that guy said earlier there is mixup between salary and value and I think they've messed up overall rating with potential rating in some youngsters.

Transfer system needs fixing slightly too.

Better to get too many decent youth players than none at all.

And there's no problem with the market value thing - it's what the player is worth - per season. How much a player is worth as a transfer fee depends on several factors. Wealth of the buying club, wealth of the selling club, length of contract left, how many clubs are trying to buy the player, and even how far into the transfer window you are. It cannot be summed up in a player's dossier.

Yes, something is wrong.

I have Mytholonas in my ML team. He was very important during the 2nd division campaign and the first season in the 1st division. Therefore, I decided to keep him as a sub and maybe retire him in my team. It turns out that I haven't used him at all because I bought good younger CFs. Well, last renewal he demanded 4M. Fair enough for what he had done but not for his stats and for what he was doing (he wasn't playing at all!). Now just checked and he has one year more of contract and his value is 11 M???? He is not even on my list of subs!!! Why?

Are you winning trophies? That boosts the players values up, whether they play or not. Also is he still improving or has he stopped now? But obviously if his rating is still going up his value will too. But generally the problem is if you're sucessful, you pay the price.

they released your players because you not afford the wages, thats when they get rid of high paid players and bring up your youth team.

i am in the season 2020 so pato has had 2 contract upgrades which has resulted in the 27 mil wage. first was to 14 mil then the second was 27 mil, outrages
