Too bad. The graphics will probably suffer as a result. Would have prefered an epic game for next gen consoles. Current gen is so old.

I onlyjust got the chance to watch this today after reading all reactions since friday. Looks amazing, and glad it's Big Boss we'll be playing as (or so it seems), such an awesome character.

I'm guessing the guy with the burnt face is Colonel Volgin? even though he had died in MGS3 and this looks to be set after that.

I was thinking it was Volgin as well, seeing as the game appears to mention the Cuban border, and the cold war links that exist between Russia and them, it is very possible.

Love the fact that it's on 360. Bought a PS3 a couple of years ago just to play MGS 4, huge fan of the series.

I hope it will touch on the Les Enfants Terribles story arc. If I remember correctly, the project is one of the main reasons why Big Boss no longer gets along with Major Zero.

I don't care for many games out there, but Metal Gear Solid is probably my favourite series. This game cannot come sooner enough.

I still need to play Peace Walker. Good thing the collection is out on the PS3, but I don't want to buy MGS2 AND 3... gah.

I'm confused. Are we playing as Naked Snake over two periods of time? In the video footage he's clearly an older man, yet in the released photo he's in his prime.



Yet in both he has the camera/binocular thing and the same outfit. Was it just early artwork before they re-did the hair? :unsure:

I think it's someone that was introduced in Peace Walker (like this "Paz" character), but don't quote me on it until I've gotten round to playing it.

Looks gorgeous. Apparently the PC it's running on has the same specs as a PS3, and the game's being made on the Fox Engine made by Kojima which was supposedly created for next-gen games.

Hm yes I did read that, which I suppose is a good sign.


I also read that this is NOT MGS5 and that will appear on next gen consoles. I can see a movie tie in....
