Frustration like never before. Never have I had a issue with PES in terms of the game actually functioning and allowing me to play. For some reason in my Master League profile on PES 2010 it freezes.

Now I use auto-save/ reset prevention feature basically because playing 10 games and forgetting to save manually gets old fast. So I play and a finish a game fine, no problems and the result doesn't matter. Then I come to the post game menu's i.e results & league table, sponsorship money and player development. Guiding through these fine but it's the calendar menu that causes the trouble. The box surrounding the date and game you've just played moves to the right, representing the week changing. Mid move it freezes.

As in "You'll need to restart in order to play again" freezing.
Why? Why my beloved PES 2010 do you treat me this way? It's random the freezing encounters. You could play 1 and freeze or 4 and bang.

The reset prevention rule, which I don't have a problem with, is causing me to lose games 3-0 worst example being the Europa League semi finals beating Arsenal 3-0 on aggregate only to find I've actually been knocked out 1-3.

Seems to come and go this problem, won't happen at all then another time it won't go away. Anyone else experienced this incredibly frustrating issue?

Forget the re-set prevention feature. I had it on during ML in last years game, but it would freeze a few times. Keep it off, and be honest :)

I have not experienced this problem with the current game, but my PES freezes sometimes during the opening sequence for a match. When the loading stars stop flashing, nothing. Is my PS3 just cold? as I think it's always been the first game I play after turning it on.

I have the same problem with the game freezing just prior to a match starting (the loading stars just stop) . It is also usually the first game I think - I'd not really noticed but now I think about it, this is probably the case.

i'm having this problem too, i play a game or too fine, and then find it does the player development etc fine as is when the little white box moves to next week, but when it goes to the little box when itloads i find a lot of the time it doesn't come up with the loading box and just stays on the background with the music player which is a pain in the ass as have to replay games and end up saving after every game, the most frustrating was a CL semi against Barca and then the final with Real. I finally got through those and then when it went to go to the 2011-12 screen that stays up on screen and just freezes, even if i press the ps3 button. I have cleaned the disc retried it 3-4 times but nadda, which sucks so my ML lasts two seasons

I'll stand by reset prevention. I could use auto-save but with PES if I start a game I will finish it and if I don't? A 3-0 loss is the price I'll pay.

Actually my ML past 2 days has been fine, maybe I'm over the freezing. I sure hope so. As for prematch freezing I've never experienced it guess it's just bad look.

I've started letting the intro sequence (teams in the tunnel) play for a bit longer (till their out on the pitch) at the start of my first match, instead of pressing start straight away. The freezing has stopped :)

I had a similar problem with pes 2009.

I loaded my file and played a match, and then after i played the match the calender pops up and freezes my game. It was just with 1 file. Then i noticed everytime the calender popped up after that one game the same song was playing. So with my last hope i went to the playlist editor and removed the song from all playlists. I loaded my ML file again and after the game it didn't freeze anymore. It sounds weird but this really worked for me. Anyway i still think there is way too many bugs in PES every year.

The same thing is happening to me too! The funny thing is I even had it installed on the HDD and it didn't matter. I'd really like to know what's going on here. Is it because of the reset prevention feature?

I also have been experiencing the freezing problem as of late. its really annoying. i hope they find a fix to it soon!

Anyone find a fix to this problem? Any info at all? I'm about ready to buy a different copy of the game to see if I have the same problems.

Hey, I'm having all kinds of problems at the moment.

When I first got the game it crashed the PS3 when the players were coming out of the tunnel. This has happened about 10 times in total so far.

Since then my PS3 stopped reading Blu-ray disks so sent it back to sony to get replacement (60gb model), got the new system, restored old system data, since then its been far worse. Now after a match in ML it just freezes on the background screen while the music just keeps playing. I can quit the game by using the middle button still so the system hasn't crashed.

It also crashes mid game now also, happened about 5 times in 1 session, while the bug above happens almost every other match. VERY frustrating!

I've tried deleting game data so it reloads it from the disk - no luck
I've tried installing to HDD - no luck
I've tried deleting game data then not downloading latest patch - no luck
I've tried starting a new ML but it just crashed before the first game.

What the hell has happened!!!

the only thing I haven't tried is formatting the system and starting from scratch but would be gutted as I'd lose all other game data and I'm about 4 seasons into the ML!

any solutions? ideas? anything else to try?

not sure if the new PS3 is knackered or corrupt data or buggered disk or what.

Just wanna play some stress free PES!!!!!!!

Just to update on current progress just tried to play the same ML game 3 times:

1st time - crashed in 36 min, could quit game using middle button
2nd time - crashed in 24 min, could quit game using middle button
deleted the system data to see if that would make a difference....
3rd time - finished game, after the match when it would usually show the scores from the other games the screen went black then it quit to XMB.

going to try and swap the disk tomorrow see if that helps at all. Its completely scratch free tho.

I don't have a PS3 and I wasn't experiencing problems during the match, only when advancing on the calendar. I did purchase another copy of the game and trade the other one in (feel sorry for the poor sap that buys it) and this one is working fine. I'm almost through my first season since restarting and not one freezing problem. My old disc had no scratches either so I suggest getting another copy.

im also having the same problem, same screen after a game. very annoying, seems like every other game now. oh and ive always manually saved the game and never used the reset prevention feature

wellmy games crashed now for the 20 th time its kinda pissing me really off its only when they come out the tunnel that it happens for me!! i have to save after every game or 2 games how ridiculous and it only started happening on my second season!!

Dude, same happened to me!

I've had like 4 seasons with arsenal and 3 (I would say 4 but this f*ing bug makes it politically incorrect to say) with my new 'default players' club. Grinded out the first few seasons, finally got to the stage where people 82+ want to come to my club and that... and this happens!

Full transfer window with people in and out.. which i thought may have been the issue at first, but after cancelling some signings and mucking about with releasing people and that... still no resolve!

and I've left it overnight and nothing special happened.. again no resolve!

I've really lost faith in ML now... but hey im starting again regardless what my brain tells me so i'll keep you posted n i hope u keep me posted too
