i just got WE9i a couple of days ago and i started a ML. im getting my ass handed to me on 3*'s. is this because my teams players are awful or do i need to keep practicing. also does anybody else feel that the comp gets away with a whole lot more fouls.

When I first started playing on WE9, I found it harder than I expected to be honest mate. The only real thing you can do is keep on practising, it will soon pay off. Practise, through balls, 1-2 passes, long range shooting, 1 on 1's and switching play as all these can be very helpful when playing the Comp. Also try and use the wings as often as possible unless the opposition has world class full backs.

What do you start with on ML, all default players ? If so I would suggest to 'Create Original Team' as its more customised I think. You get to make the club really feel like your own, plus you can start with some players of your choice. I'd strongly recommend Joe Cole, Rooney, Farfan and Perea with Isaksson in goal.

Your right here too mate, the Comp certainly gets the advantage more often than not when it comes to more than fouls. They seem to get throw-ins which are clearly yours and regularly get soft free kicks. However I wouldn't complain too much as I used to do the same but I realised I was getting a lot of weak penalties so it kind of evens it up.

If you need anymore help (in depth) just ask again.

yah mate... the whole new gameplay of the new PES series probably gave a wake up call to all of us that success doesn't come easily.. all of us r knock back to start from the basis and from scratch.. after hours of practise.. u will slowy taste success, applyin more gameplan when playing stronger opponents.. it really made football a game for the determined and u'll c urself celebrate in joy as u score crucial goals... welcome onboard mate~

If you'r having problems with 3* start on 1* there is no shame in it get used to takeing you'r shots and find the best approach to score goals from that works for you.you will soon be dominating the computer just practice and advance you will pick it up it just takes time.

It was very difficult for me to start off with. That is usually the case with winning eleven but this time even more so. i got WE9i the day it came out and it took me a few days to get used to it. the main thing i noticed is that the computer really looks for players a lot better than it used to. the best advice i can give you is to stay organized on defense. watch to see if you are on defense if your fullbacks are picking up those annoying runs the computer makes to the corners. if possible run your winger over there to help cover. also try not to foul close to your box. if i see on the radar that i could be exposed ill hurry up and foul in there half just to get my players back behind the ball and organised. i rarely get yellows for this so its not a bad thing to try. once you get the defense down then comes the hard part, scoring!

it seemed so hard at first. and still is if i don't really focus. you have to let go of R1, if you play on ps2 that is. if you hold turbo all day then the players touch is terrible. that should help out a lot right off the bat. i play with manchester united and i have to make sure that i use the wings like someone mentioned earlier. i try to get play out wide and then bring it back in if need be. another good thing to get down is to work on your dribbling. if you can get to where you can beat someone 1v1 then you are in good shape because that opens up the field a lot. once you beat the fullback 1v1 then more than likely a center back will come over and this should help with opening gaps up in the defense. also try switching the ball that helps with my team. i hope those will help you out. other than that just practice as much as you can on the little things.

Fact is most people started on 3* in order to get used to the game play and new features tackle from behind etc.... I think it was a major mistake as the teams sit back and make it very hard to play against, kind of like Everton (I hate playing them on 5or6stars there sooooo defensive) sorry getting away from the point. For the thread starter the best thing for you to do is change it to 5 stars as teams actually come at you a bit more leaving bigger gaps to run into and therefore score more.

You can buy him in the pes-shop, his name isnt spelt correctly but you can easily define him as there arent too many Americans to buy

The closing down in pes5 is really extreme ...u have no time on the ball in midfield....the only way is to think ahead..anticipate ..more to deal with tactics..and try to be very good at manual passing
get good players individual flairs matter.....i find j.s.park better than c.ronaldo....park is not good at shooting and stats ar low as compared with c.ronaldo...... park is much better in tight situations 50-50 balls ,1 0n 1 situations..its just the way park controls the ball.......maybe konami have given preference to asian talent ....
try playing with these players ..observe closely and tell me what do u think

The advantage rule does seem to be less frequent in the master league and the computer does seem to get away with more fouls IMO.

Original?

I find this odd, althought there are significant differences, I didn't find my play style had to change that much anyway. I even won my first match 1 - 0 over Arsenal with Juventus on 5 stars, I didn't think much of it but I often hear people saying how hard it was to adjust, odd.

Hi, Lately i have noticed some problems that i havent noticed before. I would really like to know if anyone else experienced the same things. Firstly, in master league when i choose create original team, is it possible to swap the whole team, and secondly in master league theres no changes in the weather conditions, and lastly sometimes i score a hat trick but then the stats it only gives 2 goals.
