Music in PES 2011

Haha, I loved the music on PES 2008. Nothing though will beat the cheesy music played on PES2 during the replays whenever you scored.

It seemed as if they just pulled any old average guy out of the pub to sing that football..SOCCER bit and brought him a drink for it afterwards. I mean I could of sung that

There are no songs in Spanish with a woman singing.

The only ones in Spanish are "La Marcha de la Vida" and "Microdancing"

Maybe you said 50 Mila or L'Inferno, but is Italian :p

My favorite is "Head, first, down"

Yes I checked it, its Italian, 50 Mila

EDIT : sorry for the double post, I tried to edit the original but it didnt work

I have switched most songs of the licensed soundtrack to the "hidden" orchestral scores.. Really awesome stuff, sounds just like Konami original game music should sound! They're composed by some japanese dude, impossible to remember that name hehe.. go listen if you haven't already.

The music is good though. I did delete one song... the really heavy one with the screaming.

It's called 'Die Tomorrow'. I deleted that very soon after purchasing the game, way too heavy for my tastes. You have to be seriously emo to enjoy that song in any capacity.

My favourite song on there is Celestica by Crystal Castles. I'm no fan of electro or anything of the sort (I hate the genre with a passion) but this song really stands out for me because of how the beat and vocals are mixed to produce something that ends up somewhat unique. I guess listening to it on a quality pair of headphones - with the right tweaks made to the sound settings - in a way reminds me of the sensation of being high, not that I'm into the ganja (anymore).

50mila is catchy but a little too catchy I would say. I had to delete it off my list because it kept popping up way too often. L'inferno by the same artist (Nina Zilla) is a much better song on the game because it's a lot less gimmicky with regards to the sound, and it at least sounds like she's singing about something meaningful (although that probably isn't the case).

It is happening again
Most of it is gay cheesy shit that literally makes me sick listening to as konami try so hard to please all audiences.

You have that camp shit called ''theo'' and I end up wishing I could punch the singers face in. Then the whining emo shit ''die tomorrow'' for the pretentious rock kids, then brazil samba for the south americans, then you have a 15 minutre tribe ritual song that feels like it never ends. A few latin tracks talking about cousins. And lastly a few decent techo/house tunes that are tolerable. It leaves you wondering what konami were smoking when they selected some of the tracks.

However I deleted all that shit and put my own songs on along time ago.

The one called "Cousins" is by Vampire Weekend. They're from New York... not at all latin. Though, it is hard to fathom what they're saying at times!

:D

Bloody hell! That takes me back!

I remember a song on either ISS Pro, or ISS Pro Evo 2 which they actuall put in one of the recent games.

Some of the music from PES 2009 was tolerable:

Like most of you, totally hate that heavy metal song or whatever category that fits in. The rest is ok. I like the K'Naan one, sort of fitted into the whole South Africa theme of the last year.

Omg midi-synthesizer... And it wasn't that long ago to expect THAT! I'm reminded but can't believe it anymore...

Midi is sort of a programming languague, still present in all music you hear today. It has nothing to do with how music actually sounds. :)

Apart from that, is there no one that has listened to the orchestrated songs available in PES 2011? Head into the music edit menu and listen, they are all great and fit the game perfect!!

That Die Tomorrow track is god awful stuff.
For me the rest range from nice to forgetable.

I really liked PES2010's track list. When 'A Thousand Trees' first played I was having flashbacks to a decade earlier, lol. Guilemots, Klaxons, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Weller, etc... made for enjoyable listening for me.

Oh my god, sweet nostalgia... Man Utd called Aragon, The Trad Brick Stadium, Mpenza and Olisadebe master league legends, and that goal I scored when Heskey lobbed the keeper from the halfway line, accompenied to this tune. I need to recover my composure, those were the days....

The days before players had faces too! :D

The best song on PES 2008 was that "use your head" song. It went like "you've just got to use your head, your head". Konami must have had a right laugh while making that game.
