My fifa 2007 review plus wonder goal footage

Hi guys i just got my fifa 2007 demo 2day on the ps2 and i gota say it is VERY GOOD.
It has improved so much on the last titles, with the new player AI system it feels so better, its getting to become like pes alot more every new release from fifa is getting closer to pes, sooner or later they will merge (JOKE)

Anyway played a couple of games and , the animations are amazing even for the ps2 the tunel entrance, the flash backs of the game and the playeys is somthing new, this gives great feeling to the game with the excitement of the getting to the action and playing. On the field its great the players are a new size in height just like pes, the game is faster, and there is new moves including stronger defending option pressing r2 to STAND YOUR GROUND agaist fast paced forwards,
the shooting is also good more realistic everything is better with this new ENGINE they have created it plays really well, just like a fast premiership match, i will have more soon but in the mean time

check out my goal i scored with the german side werder breman against ac milan, the feeling of the shot was not like previous fifa games this was so hard to do and was a hard curled shot amazing, and even the celebrations are different and very good more later.....

i still think pes6 will be better but until the full release of fifa and pes who knows what will happen....

dude no need for harsh comments, i just rushed it and went back to the ps2 thats all, if i quickly type then i will often make a mistake so shut your noise and go and moan at some 1 else

because i aint here to write perfect english for u, i can use internet slang

Nowt new, been able to do it onb PES for years.

Being serious, it was bound to be an improvment on the last one, but just wait till PES6 before you start comparing FIFA to the series.

And its not the right place to come preaching EA to anyone, your not going to win many friends on here. :happy:

lol, behave son, where were the harsh comments you're talking about? If i was going to write a harsh comment i'd of said something like "Fuck off you FIFA loving prick, this is a PES fansite!".

Hey i am not a fan of fifa fan, always been on the pes side, even since iss on the nintendo nes, but anyway i thort id just post it up since there is alot of hype with the upcoming titles thats all.

THanks for the review, I personally feel that it has a place in this forum. Being a big PES fan like all of you that are members here, I am always curious as to what EA are up to, because the better they become the deeper Kanomi will have to dig to keep their edge, which is only good for us right, so to hear that EA have released something half good gives me greater expectations for WE11.

That is not true, the engine for the ps2 version is EXACTLY the same as the old one. Its only the 360 version which should have a new engine. Also you seem more impressed with the animation features, and presenatation tweaks, rather then the actual gameplay.however its your opinion, so only you can know if you like it

As I have just said in the PES6 thread, I haven't played FIFA 07 myself but I have heard that it is quite good, but I won't be sucked in as PES has always been the one for me and there is no point have both plus PES comes out sooner.

Really i didnt know about this (the change of ps2 having the same engine), have you got a link for where it states this ?
and also i only played the demo so the full version maybe different.
I was impressed with the gameplay thats why i mentioned the new engine because it does feel different to the previous versions, I don't know what exactly fifa team have done but the gameplay is very good.

The shooting, the running with the ball, the passing, thecrossing, the new style of defending, this is just my view others will be different or the same.
I have nothing more to say.

Looking at the vids i have seen, its same old fifa.

Every players looks the same and acts the same. The defenders react like idiots and the game randomly seems to slow down when your in the box. The pace is all wrong and its totally automated as usual.

For a month everyone will say its great then get bored of it, a bit like all EA games...

People this is ridiculous! We need to see ourselves as consumers. If FIFA is better than previous versions then we should all be overjoyed. Imagine if Mercedes had no competition. (F1 or consumer). We'd all be aspiring to drive a car that would inevitably be a 1980s c class with slightly different headlamps! PES has been the best for years. So much so that I have never ever played or even seen a single FIFA title (exaggeration)! Now that's serious market dominance. God knows what they actually do at konami. (They are either working their arses off or simply moving a few dials and adding a few animations here and there, leaving obvious errors that they will improve in the next series). PES has specific problems (which had it not been for the existence of Watson, Mr. Bluescouse, kitserver maker: Mr. Juice and countless others would be unbearable). If there is no competition they don't need our feed back. They can churn out crap and we'll buy it. Competition is good. We should discuss it like adults and remain objective.

Personally I think current gen FIFA shouldn't be what people are looking at. It’s the next gen version. Apparently it’s been totally reworked over 2 years from the ground up. We'll have to wait and see (both FIFA 07 and PES6). If there has been a drastic improvement expect PES7 to be mind-blowing.

(Before I get called a FIFA fan boy.. I am not going to buy FIFA 07. Too old to learn new controls and have spent ages compiling kitserver files etc. Truely cannot be bothered with any more. But you kids go ahead test out different stuff (now now! Games yeah-nothing else).
