DEAR KONAMY
This is my opinion on PES 2009 ONLINE nline is a JOKE( and not a very good one) totaly unresponsive….no defence only attack …2008 online was far better than this … MESSI,IBRA,ETO and company should be in the GOD OF WAR GAME not in the PES 2009 especially online!! You need 2 second to switch the player in the defence! Teleporting is "good" as 2008 game!! I must say you are about to lose one die hard fan after what you did with 2008 and 2009 online and i think i am not going to be the only one ! You should look at the forums and listen to the fans a little bit !!! I am aware that i am probably get an automatic response from YOU but there it is!!!

cute letter lol. i hope they take notice. I really cant believe that the online has not been sorted out. I hear gameplay is back to the old days, amazing. But the online is just mind boggling seriously. I look at games like cod4 and it runs PERFECT with those graphics and so much going on. I just do not understand how konami doesnt get this right. Its almost as if they dont want to.

i was playing Legends online last night and it was really bad out of the 9 games i tried to play i finished 1 whole 90mins without any problems

Had many issues yesterday as well. The gameplay online felt good, but it kept on disconnecting so I lost 3 out of my 4 matches due to disconnects :(

its a joke. the whole game is. anyone who says its a realistic, enjoyable and a playable game is blind or still playing Tetris on the Gameboy.

i emailed Konami and asked for a refund - no response.

They don't want to. You have to understand that they are a business and that profit is their sole motivation, not making a good game simply "for the good of the public." That is why we can't use the CL mode in the master league. If they took so much time to put it in the game, why not give it to us in the master league? Why is the interface normally awful in PES games? Why don't they allow you to create teams and leagues? Why are there always so many bugs and other little problems that are annoying? It's because it keeps us coming back to buy the game the next year. If they simply made a great game people would stop buying the new ones, or at least not as many would update every single year. Now we have to buy the next one, even if it has a lot of crappy problems, since we'll either want the online play or a better master league with the champions league skins.

Can all you guys post a few things... Maybe someone can find out what's going on...

- What platform do you have PES09 for? If you have PES09 on more than one platform, post the one that you getting the most problems with

- Location

- ISP (Internet service provider)

- Internet speed

- Wireless or cable

I have PES09 on PC, runs great offline. Online could be better but I get minimal lag if anything... Defenders can be idiots at times, but I don't see them as a problem for me. Last night I played lazoli, I'm from UK he's from USA. There was also minimal lag if any, I was very surprised.

I have a 10MB (Ethernet) connection with o2 as my ISP.

I'm not making these things up... So if you can post the things I've listed, maybe someone can put 2 and 2 together...

Most people are talking about the PS3. Stop making excuses for Konami. PES 09 online is absolutely pathetic. Every single person who bought the game should demand and get a refund

Online may be pathetic for you and maybe a few others but not me. I'm not defending Konami and I sure as hell ain't making excuses.

If it is mainly console users talking, why the hell didn't you RENT before you bought the game if you had any doubts??????? You can still play the game online if you rent it, and everything else for that matter. Konami may be after our money just like every other company, but they don't hold a gun up to your head telling you to buy it, do they? PC users are different, if anything they should be the bigger majority of people complaining as us PC users can't rent games.

So, if your willing to pay £30-50 for a game that sucked the year before and you have doubts at the back of your head, it seems your not that much cleverer than Konami for getting things wrong.

Another thing, because you have the console version, you have a better chance of getting a refund, putting it on Ebay or even going down your local game shop for an exchange. If you want to rush to buy the game just after release, that's your problem. No game is perfect after release, something most people don't understand.

Some of those letters range from the bizarre to stupid.

Konami probably won't respond to letters anyway but they certainly won't respond to some of the pish on here.

Bear in mind that the nature of online gaming is subject to many things. Your line, your ISP, your settings, your location and numerous other things. I bet half of you guys are playing whilst you've got torrents running or something. That's just going to mess things up. Finding settings that work for you is an art. I don't think Konami have done a brilliant job with the online side of things but you have to remember it's a peer-2-peer thing. If the guy on the other side hasn't got a good connection, you can't blame Konami for that.

As I say, I don't think Konami have helped but you cannot go blaming them for everything connection wise. I'm just suggesting, stop spouting rubbish. I work as an IT Service Delivery team and the number of calls I get regarding that our "servers aren't working/something wrong with them" is unreal. There are other mitigating factors at work here

Over my short tenure on the forum, yeh, I hear that. Never have the expressions "snap judgement" or "blame culture" been more applicable.

Personally, online has never been a big deal for me. I remember playing the first online one (PES6?) and after I beat someone, coming from 3 goals down, I was a "n00b cheat" and he hoped my "mother died from AIDS". I'd rather play with my mates.. at PES... unless they're fit.. er, and a girl.
