agreed

I thought the demo was shit, then thought the full game was good, then I did the same races over and over again with a slight change to one of the bends and thought it was shit again

it's alright for a while, but it's sooooooo boring after you've done each race type. and let's not even talk about outrun races, I actually have to do them in the main game?

does anyone have a good technique in winning Street X races? i can't seem to win any with fast cars like supra, rx-7, skyline. the other racers seem to accelerate much faster than i do after a turn, and i usually brake at a hard turn. can anyone help me?

try to increase torque in low rpms by tuning your car, take narrow turns, and try to hit the other cars badly like when they try to take a U-turn just keep accelerating and bump them in the rear to make them crash into the wall that will slow them down a lot(only use this with the leading car)

Not sure how useful my style of racing will be as we (and our cars) are all different. I find that letting go of the gas as your taking a tight corner and leaning into opposition cars helps, and don't be afraid to drive at an angle into a wall if it helps you straighten up coming out of the bend. Pushing other cars into each other and into walls is good, and in one race I caused the other three cars to have a pile-up which gave me an 8 - 9 second advantage.

I find Drag races harder in this game, then the first, especually the drag races in the airport, i think it's just them races to do, before i complete the game.

btw, if any of you have it for Xbox and Online, you can tune up a car in the "Custermise" mode you can take it online, eg: If you have a rubbish car in the carear mode and you don't have alot of money to do it up, you can go into "Custermise" mode and do up the latest car up, for free and take it online!.....Just a little hint for you all to use!

drags are my favourite, i finish them first cause i love em, and they're very easy

I like drift races. So far my best drift is 55,000 which looked pretty sweet as it lasted over half a lap. Plus I win with 200,00 on some races.

I'm on a drift just now where you have to get 200,000 to win

I might change cars, I currently have an Audi TT and a Mazda MX-5 but I find them both especially the Mazda very "slidy" and the handling isn't great. I am currently considering between the RX-8 or the Evo as my new car.

thanks for all your help everyone. drift races are so easy, they should count the position and the points to determine the winner because i'm always last but my points are sky high. they should require us to be first place and have the hight point, so the game can be more competitive.

If your looking for a car which is great at drift, pick the Mazda Rx-7 as it's very fast and "slidy" which means more points and easy wins on drift!

the rx-7 is sort of slippery, i can't control when doing multiple combo drifts. its only good for U turn and difficult angle drift IMO

The one thing that puzzles me about drift races but that I use to my advantage is that you don't even need to finish the race in order to win it. So often I'm just starting the last lap when the countdown begins, but I just carry on going at my slow speed full of drafts, the countdown ends halfway through my last lap but I still win. :D
