I completed SA in three or four days...
about 75 hours I think...

75/3

=25 There isn't even that many hours in a day

75/4

= about 19 hours. That's still quite disturbing.

Crazy Swedish people.

Edit: About GTA generally, I just loved the casino heist in San Andreas. It was just very Oceans Eleven, and I loved that movie. But, the sequel was just awful. :(

Yes it twas very suavely done. So much so I repeated it many times...without saving.:shocking:

Is it only me that didn't care about finishing it straight away? Many of you are competing over how quickly you got it completed, whereas I just relaxed and enjoyed the actually main thing to GTA: the sheer scope. In my first two days on San Andreas I played on it for about 20 hours, and only actually completed 3 missions. I only start picking up on the missions when I've had enough of Los Santos and fancy going to San Fierro and Las Venturas.

Better/worse than the previous GTA's?

First impressions are that it's definitely better than GTA3. The game feels a lot like Vice City what with the ability to ride bikes and boats (which if I remember correctly wasn't in GTA3).

But I don't think Liberty City Stories has got all the rings and bells of San Andreas though. I've only been playing it for about a week but I don't think it's possible to do the things that you could do in San Andreas such as working out at the gym, drinking and eating, the ability to swim etc.

In terms of the storyline though, I can say that this game beats San Andreas. :D It's definitely not the worst GTA that's been released over the past few years. But I'd say that GTA3 is now looking distinctly average and outdated compared to the later GTA games. But then again, I would say that because I generally found GTA3 to be the toughest GTA game to complete.

there is no plane in lcs but I think there are helecopters I'm currentley on the second city the missions are good and the story perfectley sets up gta3 showing how all the gangs are at war with each other.

Yeah but you couldn't ride bikes in GTA3 but you could in Vice City. :erm:

GTA III is quite simply the greatest game ever made. I've been playing Liberty City Stories for a few days now and I'm enjoying it a lot but there's no denying that even with the advancements in gameplay, it doesn't compare with GTA III.

Whilst the likes of Vice City and San Andreas have pushed the boundaries of gameplay to the PS2's limit, and so are in a sense better games, the atmosphere of GTA III has never been topped for me. This may well be because of the old 'first impressions' thing but I really do worship the original PS2 title more than any of its successors.

Anyho, Liberty City Stories is very enjoyable - largely because it feels so good to be back in the greatest setting of all time: Liberty City. If you haven't bought it yet, I recommend that you do.

GTA III is one of the best games ever. A game that I couldnt believe was made the way it was and its been the best GTA game so far, with Vice coming after it, then SA, but the bulding up the body part was enjoyable for about 5 minutes, then it was just crap.

No-one can fly a plane like me. Not even you, Rich.

I was just thinking about the GTA games, and I realised, I love GTA3. I've no idea why I sold it, it's the best game I've ever played (On PS2).
And to be honest - I hated San Andreas.

I am so getting LBC, but the thing is, I might be selling my PS2..
My heart is ripping into half, I want this soo much but I can't buy it because I will probably sell my PS2..
