I wonder how they will dirty equipment in the game as long as there will be no rain. Very interesting, do not you think?

Soil underneath the grass. Maybe it was raining before the match and now the pitch a a bit muddier. It does happen in reality ;)

It isn't the lack of rain per se that is the problem, it just symbolizes a company shoving out an unfinished product......with two years in the making.

No.

It symbolizes a company shifting to a new Engine. This stuff is very common when moving to a new engine. They don;t really have many choices either. Can't really keep it in production to add it, cause that raises cost, and then you give FIFA free reign of the footy market.

Only real choice they would have had was to release another sub par PES on the old engine, and if they did that you lot would have complained about it, and how it needs to change and it needs this and that.

Devs just can't win.

I would rather have an unfinished product with good enjoyable gameplay that I will play rather than a finished product with crappy gameplay that I will never play again though. That's my bottom line

Don't even mention seabass .he is great! its Kei masuda who is a problem....Seabass doesn't play a huge role in PES making anymore not for shitty PES12 nor for PES13 or 14.

of course, but the question arises, what else did they not finish. that is the trepidation I am trying to convey here.

It is hard for sports game developers because they have an annual deadline versus something like Gran Turismo where the developer could just keep pushing it back with smaller repercussions.

Oh I understand, I really do and I said myself that it's a bad thing on the whole. But at this point in time, I'd give every feature out just to have good gameplay that'll have me playing for a year at least. :)

I could care less about rain and the dirty uniforms. I care about the gameplay, PERIOD! Plus, PES2013 was not complete? Its a great game actually, I still play it everyday online vs strangers and friends.

good post

I have mentioned it here before but will mention it again now:

Seabass stepped away from 2013 so he would work with the fox engine for 2014. Two full years and they can't implement rain? Can't implement a stadium editor. What have they been doing for two years? I would like to know more why stadium editor has been removed - he says he can't get into it - but it sounds like they have fallen short. If stadium editor is removed because of licensing, surely kit editor would so I can't buy it is as licensing issues.

Two full years and they are still writing code and can't release a demo on time. Amazing.

has FIFA released their demo yet? I was in the store yesterday and couldnt find it .

You're not helping a friend or a family in their problem here, you pay 60$ for a video game and you're supposed to get a good finished product..

I don't care about weather or stadiums. I just want a polished game. The rest can can come later, rather than rushing it all in now.

Problem is, WHEN was the last time we had a properly finished product from football games?

They had all the nice finishing, but fundamentally, the thing that mattered, the gameplay was lost, thus ending up in the same spot as we are in now with this argument. You still pay $60 for it, even if its fully finished but with fundamentally flawed gameplay.

Now you tell me what really matters AT THIS POINT IN TIME. :)

I made that caps, because football games in my view are very far behind in terms of enjoyment, technology and approach to what they tried to capture (football). So the only thing that matters now is to nail the basics right before finishing the game with add ons and enhancements.

Enjoyment in sports games do not come from finishings, they come from gameplay fun.

Problem is, WHEN was the last time we had a properly finished product from any developer in any category of games? (EDITED BY SABATASSO!)

Now the statement is even more correct.

The gaming industry today is all about selling DLC and day one patches that fixes the stuff they didn't bother to finish in addition to creating numerous new bugs. These unfinished products sells because the player base is (stupid) basically buying any crap they toss at the market if they promote it properly and slap the right person on the cover.
