I much prefer the icy ground rather than pes 13 animations then. :)

At least from afar and up close (not judging the ground and foot planting), they look way more realistic which means less stumbling, more fluid animations and TRANSITIONS as well as more freedom with the analogue since now the animation can show it.

So yeah, I still prefer to get this + icy ground rather than pes 13 all over again.

But animations alone will not make the game for me. I'll have to play the demo to decide and it better be a good one in terms of gameplay.

Let me make this clear. I am not happy about no rain.
But at this point in time do I really care about rain? No. After 2 years of not playing football games (last I enjoyed was pes 2011 and before that, fifa 09 and 10), I think that it would be stupid to care about add ons and not care about the core of the game.

I could have a finished game and call it a finished game, BUT if the core is not done right, what would be the point?

At this point in time, for me, the game play is the only thing that matters because in all honesty, if the game has rain but bad gameplay, does rain really matter? NO. I would still stop playing it.

Even stadiums. If the game turns out good, I would end up feeling annoyed by the fact that there's only 20 or so stadiums. But at least, I would still keep on playing because the enjoyment does not come from add ons or enhancements, it comes from the core gameplay especially in football games.

I stopped playing pes 13 even though it had rain and a stadium editor. Why? Because it had other huge problems with the AI, defensive AI and scripting.

NO.

If I pay £40 for a game then I expect a complete game. No question asked.

If a game is made which is only good in one aspect, even if that one aspect is the most important one then it should sell for approximately half the price of a complete game.

I say months ago that PES would do as they always do and take as many features out of the game as the features the put in. NOT GOOD ENOUGH for me to pay £40.

This is 2013, if I pay £40 then.....

I DEMAND up to date, varied commentary.
I DEMAND all the same features that were in the previous game, the game that this one is meant to be improving on.
I DEMAND, like Fifa, to have a good, varied soundtrack of at least 30 songs.
I DEMAND good presentation.
I DEMAND top quality online service, which rarely lags and has various options that are available in Fifa but not previous PES games.

AND

I DEMAND that the gameplay isn't riddled with game-destroying faults and glitches, and provides a enjoyable gaming experience.

You can't provide that Konami? Then you won't receive a penny of my money. And I will buy from EA instead, a company that is actually competent and cares about their games.

You have had 5 years to make a good, complete football game and you have failed. In the end you have got what you have deserved, a franchise which nobody cares about anymore. PES is dead in the UK and thank god for that, justice for all the money you have stole of me.

I get it, but you failed to understand the point of hierarchy I raised. I know that a game needs to have the complete package, but would you rather have a package with on and off gameplay? Or would you rather have a less of a package with engaging gameplay? That's the question you need to answer.

I understand people wanting a complete package for the best value for money. But as it stands, neither pes nor fifa are delivering, so at this point in time, you ave to go back to the very foundations of what makes a game enjoyable. And that is the gameplay. Back on ps2 and ps1, no one cried because pes lacked features. They all loved it for the engaging gameplay that it had. And I'll gladly take that engaging gameplay over any feature in the world.

You won't play a game with great features and bad gameplay. But you will play the game with a good gameplay experience for less features. No feature brought me back to play fifa 11-13 or pes 12 and 13.

I DEMAND up to date, varied commentary.

Is it really that necessary? When I played fia 09 and 10, even though I enjoyed the commentary, I didn't even notice it after awhile because no matter how much variation they put it, it will get old fast.

I DEMAND all the same features that were in the previous game, the game that this one is meant to be improving on.

To a point, this is correct. The problem is, the gameplay was not on par. So would you rather loose features for gameplay or keep the same game?

I DEMAND, like Fifa, to have a good, varied soundtrack of at least 30 songs.

What's the freakin point of this when you can listen to any music you like on the 360 and ps3?

I DEMAND good presentation.

Not necessary as long as the menus are easily understandable and accessible. I much prefer pes menus over fifa because even though fifa's menus looks better, they are slow as hell. Presentation is not everything. Accessibility is the key point here.

I DEMAND top quality online service, which rarely lags and has various options that are available in Fifa but not previous PES games.

Yes, this is something I have to agree with.

Again, I perfectly understand the point of a complete package, but as I said was I'd rather have the gameplay great and engaging rather than a complete package with so and so gameplay because features alone (in a football game) will not make me want to play the game after I give up on it. But the gameplay will.

I DEMAND that the gameplay isn't riddled with game-destroying faults and glitches, and provides a enjoyable gaming experience.

You and your demands. I agree with this ;) This is infact the very essence of my post.

You can't provide that Konami? Then you won't receive a penny of my money.

Fair game if you think that.

And I will buy from EA instead, a company that is actually competent and cares about their games.

GRADE A BULLSH!T.
Fifa has all the features and nice shine in the world, but the gameplay is far from delivering a realistic football experience. It has no individulaity, no team based play and collective play and so on.... I could go on forever with that's wrong with fifa's gameplay and how EA cares only about the money.

Sup Shaun? It goes back to the point I made earlier......its 2013-2014 and most of us are looking for a the complete package.

Why after buying over 10 copies of ProEvolution Soccer year after year would anyone now say in 2013 they want gameplay over add-ons that were previously in the game?

Why should we lower our standards but not our pockets? When will they ever get the basics right?

Again, i do understand where you are coming from with getting the gameplay correct before concentration on other stufff......but i think we have passed that period a loooong time ago.

I assume from this posting, you have played FIFA and it's the best football game ever, with dynamic realistic play and a tailored soundtrack just for you.

If so, enjoy

Don't get me wrong though, I agree with this 100%. I am simply saying that since it's been long since I last played a good football game, I would rather give up all the features in exchange for good gameplay because at least, the gameplay will keep me coming back and playing. The features won't. :)

That's unfortunately the desperate state of football games today. In my eyes, if they could nail the gameplay back on, then the features can come after. But at least, we would have a very solid base to build upon. Not to mention the ps3/ 360 getting super old with only 512mb of memory and the 360's lack of blu ray disks.

Ok ...got it.

As I said before.....i completely understand what you are saying and you are right about getting the basics down first.

I just didn't want others thinking that you meant the add ons were not important at this stage......only that gameplay is still 90% of the package.

peace

Hello,

in PES 2013 was NO 2v2 Mode available to play Online Ranking Games with 2 players on the same console to choose the second controller as a guest player.

My question is, is this option now available in PES 2014?

Thanks in advance.
