What I posted just now somewhere else, my quick and early thoughts before I head to bed, I'll post properly tomorrow though:
So just finished my first game and I lost 4-1 to Rangers as Spurs, didn't expect that.
Overall I'll say this, I've just had more fun in one game than I did in the 10/15 games I played today on the Fifa demo. I don't want to start comparing the two though, they're both looking very good. Personally this is looking amazing.
The new player movement system is simply outstanding and has just changed everything. I used it during a throw pulling a player close in and the defender followed me and I held him off and got the trip for a freekick, these things simply weren't possible before and it's such an amazing and fresh addition.
I need to play more, but so far the dribbling system looks brilliant, the quick burst of pace is fantastic for people like Bale, tough to use but I pulled it off once and it looked fantastic.
Most importantly, it's just like the classic Pro has always been, so fun, so enjoyable, so exciting, so rewarding. Rangers go 1-0 up with a beauty into the bottom corner...well we fire back minutes later, Lennon breaks down the right and puts in a low cross and Defoe scrambles to the ball and it somehow sneaks into the goal...that goal felt so real, just how you see things happen in real football, not a screamer, but a proper strikers goal that was scraped and hard fought, a goal like Defoe would score in real life and when it happens, it feels great, that's the joy of Pro right there.
Game is looking like a real challenge too, the player movement system is going to take a while to master...what are you guys using it on? Auto or Manual and which is better? Mastering that will take a while but be so rewarding.
Overall I'm over the moon so far, but I need to play more. Going to have one last game and head off to bed, so I'll play properly tomorrow and get more thoughts on it then. So far, massive thumbs up.
