I dont think the xbox360 version will better the ps2 version in terms of gameplay, but i do think the editing will be really fun on the xbox as the graphics looks almost real, i dont have an xbox360 and with the ps3 approaching soon i think i'll miss out.
But as konami mentioned, the ps3 version of pro evolution will be much better as they have more power

Actually I missed that konami statement. Could you perhaps give a source for that info, I am curious (no sarcasm).

The creator of the Pro Evolution Soccer series has spoken out about the next generation version of the series. In an interview covered by Jeux France, he said:

"The online aspect will change drastically. From reading forums we realise that the game lags a lot, but this will be much, much better on PlayStation 3. Also, offline you'll have fantastic player movements that you'll probably only notice through replays. Of course, PlayStation 3 will give us more power to enrich the actual representation of football, such as artificial intelligence, so you'll have much smarter defenders. We'll be able to put much more emphasis on the offside battle between defenders and attackers because PlayStation 3 gives us more power."

As far as I know, those will not be the the intro graphics. The intro Graphics in PES4 and 5 where just pre-rendered and a lot better. But I don't think it will be also the gameplay quality. I think it would depend on the camera proximity to the players, as EA has always done with Fifa.

If you have to see 22 players at the same time, they are far from camera, you can lower the number of poligons and quality of textures if you want. Also the grass would be just a texture. Your eyes won't see any difference.

Then you aproach or do a replay of a goal, you change the 3D mesh of the player, ball, textures, and it looks nearly real.

As someone said before, I hope they concentrate on gameplay, the graphics we've seen are enough for now, but the movements will give the realism this year, not the graphics. Let's hope they do not make the same mistake that EA did with Road to world cup, Just impressive graphics, but same gameplay.

You could find them in the website of the E3: e3expo, and click on insider. (just the link on the right.).

At IGN you could find them also. but you have to look for the tittle Winning Eleven: Pro evolution soccer 2007 for PS3 or Xbox360

those are in game pictures because i read on a website that there 2 low rez for an intro and the xbox might be a lot of things but it aint 2 shabby trust me

The xbox 360 has absolutely amazing graphical power. Look at Madden, which was released at launch, it has fully 3d crowds all the time and looks stunning on my HD tv.
Pes6 on the 360 will be an amazingly huge graphical leap for the series, therefore it would not surprise me if those screens were in game.
Also, its going to be released in Ocotober as always, with the US having to wait till january.

Somehow comments like these pop up in every single thread on next-gen material.

Xbox360 and PS3 will be roughly equally powerful all things considered. Any advantage the PS3 might have in processing-power or the 360 in the graphics department will be too small to be seen in games. If there were differences in features (say the PS3 supported HDR but not the 360), then the difference between the games would be instantly visible when looking at multi-platform games playing on both PS3 and Xbox360, since one of the games would have spectacular lighting and the other wouldn't.

I have seen screenshots of in-production games on Xbox that look dated and current-gen, as I have seen pictures of PS3-games in production that look not that impressive (For example E3-screens of MGS - Guns of the Patriots, that seem less impressive as the video and images from earlier showcasings).


The point is that everything that matters is how developers handle the hardware. If you just let a PS3 and an Xbox sit next to eachother the only difference will be their appearance.

Skilled developers will make beautiful games and not-so-skilled will make less beautiful games, regardless of platform. If you play an NES game on the PS3 it will still look like a NES game. If you play a NES game on the 360 it will still look like a NES game. Hardware doesn't matter.


Untill the PS3 and 360 have both properly established themselves and developers are using the full potential of the systems, people talking about how some system will own another system just come off as ignorant.

We might aswell be talking about how much the PS6 will rule the Xbox1080, since that discussion is just as irrelevant in my opinion.

Thats coz Xbox released their console too soon and we all know the PS3 will sell far more units than the XBOX 360.
