Not buying PES

I left Fifa 11 for Pes 11 and absolutely played the shit out of Pes and enjoyed the realism. Fifa 11 was like hockey on grass. And I gave EA tons of shit for it on their forums. It was ridiculous garbage. But...

Too bad the idiots at Konami tried to make Pes 12 more like Fifa 11 (laser passes, super fast gameplay). Fifa 12 now feels like the realistic football game. Especially on manual controls. Fifa 12 is nothing short of brilliant. Too bad Pes, you lose this time. I have lost any faith in you Konami. The animations are even worse than PS2 graphics. Fifa 12 IMO is the deathblow to Pes.

I didn't expect this or care one way or another, but I will buy Fifa and not Pes this year.

I will refrain from making fun of Seabass as I guess he has hard times coming.

PES11 has faster gameplay than PES12, judging from the latest demo. You got some quality observations going on here in other words...

I played one game of FIFA last night, and switched it off after that. I played on World Class. If what you mean by "FIFA 12 is nothing short of brilliant " is that everyone just stands around to play the one obvious ball on all the time, then yes it's brilliant. I played as Milan, had 78% possession against Barcelona. Won one-nil. Worst game of FIFA, let alone football I've played. Some guy on the FIFA forums hit the nail on the head yesterday.

He said for some inexplicable reason the AI in this years FIFA is worse than the last three titles. This gives the 'illusion' that the game is better paced, because there's nothing on. Instead you have to weave slowly up the pitch, then back down, then back up, then back down. You then either cross the ball or work the way slowly into the box where either your shot is blocked or you have a chance on goal.

Then the CPU does this. Times by 100, and you have the same game over and over and over.

When you have FIFA fanboys saying that the AI is the worst in the last five years there's something wrong.

So basically you mean it's to hard for you and your not willing to learn how to play it then.

Enjoy fifa 12 for the duration until the flaws start to kick in, because they will.

I easily played over 1000 Pes 11 games. I have no problem beating the Pes 12 demo on top player.

I am suprised at how unimpressive the demo is. I am also shocked at how far a departure Fifa has gone towards a realistic experience. Maybe this is not the case on PC, but for xbox it sure the hell is.

I've been reading throughout the forums about PES players in general struggling on top player due to the more challenging AI.

I don't believe for a second you 'aced' the game in your first couple of play throughs on Top Player as it is a completely new spectrum of AI.

You are never going to please everyone.. I think the majority of people are liking pes2012. I certainly am.

I have also played FIFA 12 allot and enjoyed that to.. when i am playing it i am thinking about turning it off the play pes again.

I just think pes has much more variation in the gameplay.. I have played about 30 games on pes and 20 on fifa.. even now stuff on pes is happening that i havent seen.. fifa i pretty much have seen everything it offers.. no surprises.

like i said.. both games are very good this year which can only be a good thing.. both companies have raised the bar in my opinion

Where as, when i'm stuffing a young 21 year old, college slut, it's completely different. She's more free and willing to show you all sort of things you'd never expect and each time i bang her it's completely different and exciting, allowing us to both release multiple times, 3-2....as is PES.

I really do wish some day FIFA would be better than PES, then the circle could be complete with gameplay, kits, and leagues. I am really shocked that EA has not brought FIFA into a "fit" setting. NHL is so good, Madden has its problems but so much better of an NFL game than FIFA is to world football. I just don't get it.

I am so impatient for Tuesday release day of PES. These FIFA ads keep calling out to me- the game looks so good, bright, exciting - I saw that ad played at least 25 times today (that is what I get for watching sports all day). All FIFA needs is the game play and it is over. If it wasn't for this site constantly reminding me that FIFA gameplays sucks I would already be out $60 today. Why is it that neither developer can get it right?

TBH im in the same boat, PES 2010 is better than this

12 doesnt seem that it will let me control my players at all, tactically its awful and its setup has gone backwards and the gameplay is just awful now it seems that its like FIFA

In fact its trying to be FIFA with top player having every player going pass you with a skill move and playing like barca

Even the players have lost individuality and with that gone it means the teams play the same aswell

They have the modes and the training and challenges back which are nice to have but if the gameplay is like FIFA whats the point! i can have FIFA and the licences with more stable online games such as clubs which PES have yet to pick up on but then again online for PES is hard enough as it is

I still got PES6 which i can control my team and what they do more than in 12

Some say its a step up, for me its a massive step backwards, its losing its identity

I still don't know what game to get.
One minute I love both games then the next I hate them.

Pes always looks half finished to me.
I pay nearly £40 and have to spend time putting option files on and waiting a week for a DLC to make the game playable. I'd rather they delayed it a month and sorted everything out.

I like FIFA today but will hate it tomorrow but at least if I bought it I won't have to worry about Merseyside Red, terrible team rosters and wait a week for them to sort it.

It's all about gameplay but neither is saying to me why I should buy them at the moment.

Will probably stick with PES as I have done since iss on SNES.
