It seems they are looking more people for this stuff. I wish people from this forum would/could join Konami. Lots of stats needs fixing and Im not even mentioning faces... bamabravesfan, Homer S. and others would do an amazing work, I have no doubt about that. Apparently Konami will let people use theyr in-game face editor before PES 17 comes out.

I dont think you get anything for editing. No contracts, agreements, no money. Its the same as if you would create a face and post it to this forum.

The difference is that Konami would make money out of people's work- I'm sure they'd be happy with such an arrangement! Surely they're going to pay people if the positions are of an 'official capacity'?!

Haha. Yes, afcorse, but im not 100 % sure about that. Have no experience in this. I think paul2478 used to work with Konami and editing teams/players for them. If he sees this thread, maybe he will tell more about details.

You get your name in game credits, thats for sure. :D I always had idea that this kind of stuff from people around the globe is mostly volunteer. If you are really good and make tons of work, maybe they can offer something, but I have no idea. They dont mention it.

Anyway, how much does kitfisto or Homer get for making faces? Or bamabravesfan, who does all the requests and makes tons of faces? Nothing. They make it for pure pleasure, because thats what they like to do. I remember older PES PC days, when some people would release insane, amazing patches with additional leagues, faces, kits, stadiums, even new menus. I dont think they generated any money from it. It was as a hobby and I think for some editing was even more enjoyable than actual game. :D

It's one thing to create such game modifications for fellow players (and of course it's very nice of people who do that)- but if Konami make money out of exploiting the good nature and enthusiasm of 'volunteers' then that's absolutely despicable. :shocking:

Next, they'll be looking for 'volunteer' programmers...

:)

No, I dont think its exploiting at all. They dont force anyone and people apply for these editor spots themselves. After all, you can either agree or disagree with what they have to offer/if they have. There is a selection process in which they ask how many time you can spend on editing in a week/what leagues are you interested in/and it is required to make Neymar and Morata with in-game editor in order to show your editing skills.

I know lots of people hate Konami, describe it as cheaters, liars, pure evil, horror, terror, gore, flesh eating zombies, but I dont think this is the case. Besides I might have given misleading information with my statment that this is "for free", I can only guess.

who is correct I did take part in this the 1st year they did it which was for PES 2015, I'm always careful about what I say about the process as you had to sign a NDA as well as a contract to take part...

I think it changed a bit last year & it will have no doubt done so again this year, but this is what I can say based on when I took part.

You do get paid, but don't expect to quit your job for it although it was a reasonable amount. You also get a copy of the game & your name in the credits. Everyone was assigned 8 club teams & 6 NT's based on the area they said they could help with.

You had to input all the info about the team, manager & players into the online database. This was all the information you see in the game as well as a lot of background stuff like stadium size or manager skills.

I enjoyed the experience, but a combination of a lack of time as well as some things I thought were poorly done mean't I decided not to take part for PES 2016.

Then if you do get paid, it means it's illegal for me?

Thanks Paul for sharing your experience and wow, you get paid and get free game copy. That sounds really nice.

holyfsm42, in this case, probably, there might be some difficulties. When you apply, they ask to enter your age and based on information/your work they can either contact you/or not. I dont think you lose anything when applying. I did it myself, although im 23, but I doubt they will contact me, my skills arent that good. But at least I tryed. :)

Konami seem like such a Mickey Mouse operation- I can see the day coming where EA Sports have yet another monopoly (i.e. just like with Madden and NHL). Just look at the NHL series these days, absolute crap!

Konami must have a very 'bare bones' full-time staff working on the PES series, operating from a dungeon... somewhere in China (not even Japan).

Possibly, but it might be that there is some way for your parents to co-sign with you. Like who said apply & if they say you are too young you haven't lost anything.

Give it a try mate, the year I did it they had people who were involved in the community but had never done any editing before.
