Old Man Online Shock!

Played about 6 games online last night. 3 of them had the worst ag I have ever experienced. I felt like turning the damn thing off. It was a joke. The screen paused for a couple of seconds, then my players appear in different positions and pause, etc etc. I didnt touch the ball at all in the half I wasnt hosting.
What makes it worst is that the other team doesnt mention it. they must think I am total shite as I do weird stuff like own goals, dribble the ball out of play for no reason, take 10 minutes to take a throw in!
Would it make a difference if I changed what server i am playing on?
Also I played the guy who is ranked 13th..... I lost 3-0!

Lag is very, very frustrating. If we get this Old Gentlemen's league going we should play on Server2 as it is almost always unused.

People seem to be having very bad lag issues. I do experience lag too; but only when i play whilst someone is using the PC at the same time, and even then it's only minor lag (when loads of people are on, it's bad)
However, i play through a fast speed router and when no-one is using the PC internet as well it's totally lag free, both halves, almost 99% of the time. Why don't you only play people with green arrows (if you don't already) and see if that helps.

That's what I have started doing, only playing people with a good connection. I know I have a good connection as my friends that I play against say that I have 3 green arrows.

Yep i'll be on. I'm in school now and i've just seen that it's too late to go to the catine so i'm going to Dixy Chicken after school (3:40). I'll then take the train home and arrive in my bedroom at precisely 4:32pm. I will watch t.v whilst i enjoy the meal and should finish eating by 5 (i'm a very slow eater-i appreciate my food) and should start playing by 5:06 for about 2 hours. What about you?

Trouble is that you can only see the connection of the person you challenge whereas if you create a matchroom you can't see what connection the other guy has. Or at least not to my knowledge anyway.

Hell ye you can! I always create rooms and can always see people's conncetions. Otherwise, i'll be stuck playin games that lag like fu**familymahone said:

Old boys meeting up
We should meet up some time on server 2 as suggested earlier. Lets try & come up with a good night. Champs League nights may be a bit tricky (also Thursdays if yr a Boro or Bolton fan). I think an Old Boys league or mini tourney would be a laugh and we should get the ball rolling.
If anyone spots me online (haven't played for about a week) pls give me a shout!

Familymahone - thanks for the game, sorry it was a one off. LOST was on and me and the mrs watch it religiously! I didnt just run off fearing a thrashing!
It was a good game, think you should have nabbed it in normal time. That volley from Ashley Cole with the last kick of the game would have been a nice way to win it though.
Oh yeah, that last penalty that i saved, I honestly KNEW you were going that way, its all in the mind......
I will try and get on late doors tonight, if not I am def about on wednesday as the mrs is going out....
