Online Cheating - I felt robbed

I was playing a ranked match on PS3 against daanvdwet anyway I was leading 3-1 in a very competitive game, virtually lag free, and in the 89th minute I had a corner and my opponent disconnected (so i thought). I laughed cos I thought he had cracked under my pressure. Instead he got the 3-0 default win. This really hurt me so much I felt compelled to start this thread. Why oh why would you spend so much time figuring out how to win in this way and secondly how can you be happy to have a stolen victory on your record daanvdwet? I have taken some bad beatings in my time but the thing is in life is some you win some you lose... To disconnect is bad enough but to disconnect and rig it so you win is the lowest of the low.

Konami need to figure a way for gamers to leave comments on their servers cos I really want that idiot daanvdwet banned.

pes should get rid of the rankings points as thats what makes boring games and players, everyone just wanting to get a higher ranking and they dont care how they win as long as they get a rankings win

They can set up online cups for people to enter not for points but for fun, yeah you would still get people who want to win them an dont care how, but if they arent for any points then end of the day it doesnt matter an u may end up with everyone playin properly!

since i have achieved my five games winning streak i have decided to nva play online again for some times the people are just absolute clown they can't play a fair game they quit when you winning and i have had it playing against the barca facing messi all the time can't be arsed all i want is to play a good game of pro evo and online sucks as well the defenders react like afta 5 minutes or something

The worst thing about the lag is that it nullifies pretty much every result.

I had a ridiculously high win percentage on 2008 but even then I won some games that I shouldn't have, also I drew and lost games that otherwise would have been complete mullerings.

Wait until the technology is better I guess. Not the happiest of answers but that's the way it is.

I hear that but has anyone ever come across the disconnection cheat that causes the disconnecter to actually win the game. That really wound me up. I can cope with disconnecters and lag but if my opponent disconnects and still gets the win it makes me even more mad!

i opened a thread about this a few weeks back
i easily beat this guy who had 950 points and was ranked 25 overall
but he was terrible even with barca
he disconnected at the last kick of the ball and gave him a win
ive seen him in the lobbys many times since and i make sure everyone knows he is a cheat
i reported him to konami and got some bullshit response
so don't hold your breath

Its always against barca dude, I played a game the other night and was 3-0 up after 20 mins then for no reason my players stopped running and couldn`t pass 10 yard balls to feet I lost 6-3 but only because I`d been handicapped hav`nt bothered since it sucks big time!:realmad:

Your stats only really matter to you.

As long as you know that you are better than the knobs then you win.

how can he do that? are there not measures to prevent cheats like this?

facts are konami servers arent good enough for the job ,nothing to do with cheats its simply a case of poor servers giving poor results

reason i know this ,is because it did it with me while i played a freind he didnt disconnect ,and neither did i

I most annoying fucking thing happened earlier! I played against someone and they beat me 4-0 fair and square (i was tactically unprepared) So i decided to give this guy a rematch because i knew i should not of lost by so much. So im playing him again and ripping him to shreds going 6-0 up when suddenly the server goes down! I could not get back online for another half hour, but when i eventually do i look at my previous results and it said that he won the game 3-0!! I was on my way to the biggest win ive had and that happens!! I hate this shit sometimes! Ive read about people winning and the other person quitting and somehow getting the win!! But not the server going down!?? Does this happen alot??

I will not play online again it leaves me so angry, i cant understand how ppl enjoy winning just by runnin with 1 player rather than playing football, they only win like this because of t lag but its just so annoying and makes me real sick. like sum1 said its better just playing against ure mates. and why ppl stoop so low to have to cheat is beyond me. why is there such a problem with the online??? all my other games wrk fine, like call of duty 4 thats amazing online.

everyone moans on here about crap players and people who just run with the ball, when i offer anyone a game of random teams (even as a friendly so u dont have to worry bout ranking points) everyone all of a sudden goes quiet

Yeah I have found that when I play friendly games (takes much longer to find someone online to play a friendly game!) others are more willing to use lesser teams and these are my most enjoyable games as there are less Barca abusers and less cheating and exploiting of known issues. It is a shame that people do cheat though.
