Patch v1.03 has improved the GAMEPLAY!!!

Played for a few hours with the new patch and DLC and haven't noticed a difference, gamespeed is definately the same, referees are definately the same and there's no change in smoothness that i've noticed.

Ah not again! Konami released TWO things - a patch AND a dlc. It was the patch that changed the gameplay, not the dlc. Clear now?

Thing is, "patch" did dick. It's a mindset you people have. Trying to justify Konami releasing some useless DLC instead of focusing on a Title Update.

And besides, the DLC was great. It was needed so that the game updates itself. New boots and shoes are always welcome. You can never call an update like that uselesss.
Anyway the game hasn't completely changed, but it's smoother especially in replays and slightly slower too. Those are enough so far. I haven't noticed the ref yet so I cannot comment on that department.

yesterday i played a few games after the update and i recognised that the game is smoother, the keepers are better and the ref is the best improvement. i`m amazed and enjoying the game more than before. thanks konami. now only fix the 2 players together problem for cups and leagues and everythiong is fine. the only downfall is that when you DL the DLC the OFs will be trashed

There are some gameplay changes. I don't know what it is, but I can feel a slight difference. I think the gameplay is a little smother than before, but it feels great to play.
Even if there isn't a change, I still play PES everyday because i'm addicted to the Master League. Haha.
The new boots and balls are a nice addition, sort of a Chritsmas present from Konami for us.
Oh and for everyone saying that there are no changes to the gameplay - There are changes!
The update we got with the game is what will change the gameplay a little. That does not add boots and football's.
The DLC you download from the settings in the game is what contains the boots and football's.
So yeah there are slight changes, but the game feels as good as ever to play.
I still think FIFA10 is still the slightly better game, as I am playing a lot of it lately, but PES2010 is very close this year. I can tell you that I am more interested in playing PES than FIFA.
This years FIFA is good, but not better than 09 - That's my own opinion by the way.
Anyway, i'm glad we got an update and of course the DLC.
Oh and I almost forgot, Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to everyone on the site

well my 2cents on this patch and DLC are just this...I played a game online after downloading the patch and DLC and guess what happens! Im running into the box with David Suazo and the other player decided to tackle me from the back and before i could cuss up a storm....lord behold the ref awarded me a PENALTY KICK again the ref was on top of it and actually blew his whistle i scored the goal and won the game! That alone was all I needed to see that something certainly did change before play would have continued as if nothing had happened. Just my 2 cents......

I wouldn't be so disgruntled if the PS3 owners did get fucked by Konami again. We should have gotten something extra for waiting 2 days and 4 hours extra to get our DLC.

but apparently the problem was with Sony and not with Konami this time.
Anyway, my two cents about improving gameplay after the patch. I did notice difference in the speed, dribbling, referees and passes. The changes were not big, but noticeable. Specially with the referees. They still let the opponents spank you sometimes but they are definitely more restrict, which is great.
The passes are slower now and if the player doesn't have good stats in passing, they are likely to be intercepted. Actually now it looks much easier to intercept passes made by the COM.
Dribbling seems easier as well. I don't know if because of the decrease in the speed or other factor.
The goalkeepers...well, they still suck, but I will tell more later after playing more in ML.
nailed it , Exactly ! i played pes yesterday for the first time since sometime early last week. Played it on a HD , looked great.
I played as juventus against real madrid and AC milan .
AND I definetly noticed a gameplay change ! . becasue i payed 4 exibhition games against the computer.
the crosses felt better , headers , pace , and response times . but ur right u mite have to play as the big teams to notice the difference , i havent tried it with lower teams yet.
but i am wondering why konami havent announced this yet.
