there wont be a solution from any user

there are only 3 ways to handle this problem:

1. your isp change his ip routing (highly unlikely)
2. konami cut off the 400ms limit
3. konami put the servers in the eu (i dont think this would happen)

yes i think you're right.

we are a lot with this problem so i think konami will cut the limit. when i played (around 300 ms) it was fluid and no prob to play, so i don't understand this ping limit.

How do I create a VPN connection on the PS3? all the other PS3 games are working smooth for me online also I can play games at times but at other times i cant

also see some others are having the same issue as me :

I'm also having the same problem as most of you.

I can connect to some lobbies and managed to get in 2 friendlies but ranked is just not connecting me to anyone. I am thinking these servers were getting tanked last night (given it was the launch and all).

Funny thing is, I managed to find a ranked opponent in 15 seconds on Thursday.

I also updated the data pack and have my PS3 in DMZ.

i don't know for ps3

in my side, i play earlier 4 games without problems, and yeah my ping was around 300 so i tried to connect and it's worked.

so for the guys like me with a comeback to the menu after the connection, it works when the ping is lower. it's a hope for the future with better servers.

Konami is trolling us .... :| Konami should atleast come out clean and admit that the online part of the game has issues.

Generally, the more I read, the more it seems like a server load poblem. When lots of people are online, some users are getting on if they repeatedly try to connect (othes aren't for obvious reasons) and at crazy times when less users are on - like the 2am above - it works.

That's what i thought too, so i tried to connect around 2am again the next days but nothing... i was that lucky just once as i said :D

But i managed to get in once, so nothing wrong from my side that's for sure

I had written a email to Konami support received their reply it was just general instructions ...I have made another reply to them explaining in details our theories and details about my ISP where i live etc...they mentioned int he email that they are aware that some people are facing this problem...

and yes I agree that when fewer people are on probability of connecting to server is better but still not at 100 percent...

Dear customer,

Thank you very much for contacting the Konami customer support team.

We can assure you that our servers are up and running, although we are aware that this issue has come up for some players and we are therefore investigating it.

In order to help you further, we need to ask you to go through the following steps to make sure that you have everything set up to ensure that PES 2013 has the best connection to the Internet that it can.


Step 1. If you are playing on an Xbox 360 or PS3, make sure that your firmware is up to date.


Step 2. Make sure that there is nothing that could be interfering with your network. For example P2P networks, streaming TV, Mobile Devices and Virus Protection/Firewall software. We cannot recommend the usage of W-Lan or USB wireless adaptors. If you use one of the mentioned devices in order to connect to the Internet, please switch to a wired broadband connection in order to improve the connection stability and speed.

Step 3. Check your router setup. PES 2013 needs certain ports open so that it can communicate with the Internet properly. We recommend that you change Port Settings to 'Automatic'.

Step 4. If the above doesn't work, you may need to open specific ports manually by configuring your router. The ports that need to be opened in order to properly connect PES 2013 to the Internet are -


PC:

TCP: 80, 44, 4000-4200
UDP: Auto mode: 3658, 5730-5739

PS3:

TCP: 80, 443, 5000-5200
UDP: Auto mode: 3658, 5730-5739 *default is 3658

Xbox360:

TCP: 53, 80, 3074
UDP: 53, 88, 3074


As we cannot support all specific router makes and models, we recommend that you visit www.portforward.com where you will be able to find setup advise for the router that you have. For further information concerning how to set up your router connections, please refer to the manual or contact the customer support of your network provider.

If you are still having trouble going online in PES 2013 after following the above steps, please tell us your platform (PC, PS3, Xbox360), the type of internet connection you are using (Wifi, LAN, Ethernet) and the country you are writing to us from.
