This is an alternative way for those who keeps getting this error:

Load failed because data is from a different version.
Download content and update data.


Tips: Make sure your pes is loaded with the default or any working option file

1. Download PES 2009 Editor 2.9. You can get it from
http://www.dekazeta.net/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=559
Click Descargar (download) at the bottom of the page

2. Open Pes 2009 Editor > Select the default option file

3. Check the version of your option file. It should be written on the top of the editor. [for example, version 1.0]

4. File > Open > and select sammy's option file

5. File > Change option file to version > choose your default option file version [example: 1.0]

6. Now you should be able to use sammy's of. Good luck!

P/s: Thanks sammy for making the OF. It's really hard to find good OF for PC nowadays :)

so i can jus install verson 1.4 patch over 1.0 straight without having to installed ver 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 right? apply to crack and copy the .img
file over if i m unable to download from the game is it? thx

soli but i hav a problem while applying the patch.. it giv me tis error-->
the upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you hav the correct upgrade patch.. i tried all the other patch as well->1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 all giv me the same error... y? fyi my pes 2009 is installed from "ahem" "dvd"

i istall patch 1.1,patch 1.2 patch 1.3 patch 1.4 and when i run download in game shows me a message install failed. pls helm .tnx

so do this

1.my computer
2.tools
3.folder options
4.view tab
5.select (show hidden files and folders)
6.download the 1.4 cv0f.img
and put it in your All Users/Application Data/KONAMI/Pro Evolution Soccer 2009/Download directory. Download it from here: http://rapidshare.com/files/214719856/1.4_cv0f.rar
7.Exit the game and copy sammy's files to the My Documents/KONAMI/Pro Evolution Soccer 2009/save directory!

MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CRACK FOR PATCH 1.4!!!!!!!

Did anyone take the time to make this OF comaptible with Gigimarulla's chant pack (as in relinking the chants in the OF) or to make a chantpack to work with the OF (no relinks)? Importing chants in the original file (without kitserver) is soooo easy. :) Thanks!

put 1.4 cv0f.img in C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\img.

put sammy _k_84 09-10 OF 06-07-09.rar - RAR archive in
C:\Documents and Settings\your name \My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\save
this file pes 2009_Option01 also must put in save folder.

I took the time to make chants patch using Gigimarulla's latest chantspack. It's a cs0d.img file that you can use to replace the Konami default one (so no kitserver needed). It works perfectly with Sammy_k's OF and it's also good for online play. And the quality it's the best around because Gigi is the chant master. If I get requests I might upload it (however it's huge, 2.19 Gb), or maybe only the separate files (1.20 Gb) with installation instructions (using AFS Explorer, really easy).
