sorry but i must be missing something:

i installed a fresh copy of pes2009 on Vista, then copied the files linked in the above post (1.4 update), then i copied sammy's option file to
C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\save
(i created the save folder, because it didn0t exist)

but the teams are not up-to-date...that's very weird!!

maybe the problem is the 1.4 patch...

do you know any option files working with pes 2009 NOT updated to 1.4 ? (ie: version 1.3) ? so that i can try it and see if that's teh problem

Been gone a long time - glad to see people kept up the work on the option files.

Certainly wont be doing an OF for 2010 (it's not till you get started that you realise how much work goes into it)

But may be around to help out someone else who is planning an OF for the new game.

Good work and i really appreciate this from you. Sammy doesn't need to add this because he already explained to us on how to use his OF and how to get all versions working. Well you have just made it easier for others who can't find it easy to use this OF. I wish Sammy can add that now to his OF.......

Dude, we were all newbies sometime ago but you should be going through this thread to solve 99.9% of your problems because everything you have been asking about has its answers painted in this thread. After you have finished a fresh install, you need to get your game to version 1.2 by downloading and installing the patch. The link you'll find somewhere in this thread because i don't want to spoon-feed you with everything. Secondly you need to access the download option from the game settings after you have installed the 1.2 patch. Then run the download form the game settings and wait until it finishes. Your game will now be updated to 1.4 version and this will make it ready for Sammy's OF. After this only you need to use Sammy's OF. If you use it before you do all these, then it becomes useless.......

I mean u left for a while but u never gave ur fans a notice of leaving and arrival. Well glad to have u back. I wish that u can still give us a good OF for the up-coming PES 2010 but nevermind, it's cumbersome to do and u can still help out with Sammy though if u don't mind. wow, this is great to have another PES celebrity around once more and this has happened at the right time before the dawn of PES 2010,lol...........

Like i said earlier on, i don't know what me and i believe others also would have done with our PES if not for OFs like PES celebrities Kowalski and Sammy provided. Whatever the outcomes may be for both of you doing an OF for PES 2010 would be highly adored.....

Didn't knew, the first time I did it the only available update at the time was the 1.2, so I never noticed if the 1.3 was needed or not, I just applied it...

the problem is not 1.4 patch..

after u put cv0f to
C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\img,
play PES 1st, then u will see there are 'save' folder at
My Document-KONAMI-Pro Evolution Soccer 2009-save
put sammy_k's OF into this folder..

Well u can download the helpfile from bsebob which he did to help out u guys. 2ndly if u look around this thread, u'll find answers to wat u r lookin for. U must update ur game from the in-game settings download option to 1.4 b4 u should use this OF. So plain and simple like black and white dudes...........

Right, I've been away a long time. I was away in Thailand all summer, started a new job in September, moved into a new flat which until this week had no internet. But I'm back, although probably less frequently than I was, but I thought I'd reply to some of the messages I've just browsed through

I've seen a couple of teams, and I must say I find these things:

- Grosso went from Lyon to Juventus
- De la Red (R. Madrid) is currently retired due to heart problems.
- Parejo went from R. Madrid to Getafe.

There are some wrong numbers in teams, even in M. Utd, but it's fine, I'm just saying.

Thank you for all your work. Are you going to update the file with all 2009/2010 Champions League teams? The following teams are missing:

Maccabi Haifi
FC Zurich
Apoel FC
Debreceni VSC

I made the teams that had definitely qualified. It doesn't seem worth the effort to make the others with PES 2010 around the corner

how do i get about to update the kits for Manchester United and Liverpool? it appears that only this 2 teams' kit are not updated....

for the millionth time... these teams are licensed and therefore their kits cannot be edited

Then the answer is just "no", this OF is an actualized one but with top teams, absent from the original game, created to fulfill the requests from both the users of this OF and the maker's desires.

And you're right about one thing, it is a great OF!!

It's definitely less than 6 weeks to go for the countdown of PES 2010's official release. Yes there are quite some patches and OFs with the new teams and you know that life is about choices, all we have to do in it is to make the right one. If you are down with Sammy's OF, then stick with it and see it as others. If you may want to know why i say so is because of the way his OF comes out to reality. Sammy don't like patching and wants his OF to be like the way the game should be. Only fair gamers think like Sammy and we should appreciate that. We shouldn't be spoilers to the game with our OFs and so Sammy has did his best not to be one. Good ethics of him is not using patches because it overwrites some officially/originally installed files by konami and updating player stats to suit our performances kills the game-play. I have simply just told you why i elected Sammy as one of the PES celebrities that i know of in my time. Kudos Sammy!!!!

We should not expect to eat our cake and have it. I hope you guys will understand that the main reasons Sammy isn't responding to the recent updates to his OF is because of his scenario he is right now. He already stated it but still we can't afford to cope with him. So now we should ask ourselves these questions before asking one here: What do we want from Sammy, should he continue with updating PES 2009 when 2010 is just at the corner; Or should he get ready to play a role in updating PES 2010 like the way he did in PES 2009 for everyone? I bet you that if not for that and also being PES 2010 coming soon, he would have had any updates done to his OF that anyone could have taught......

Seriously this is too long for me to explain for everyone. Just keep on cheering Sammy along and not try to make him stop. Thanks for your understanding.....

It's not out yet, but will be soon. It all depends how busy I find myself when it comes out. It is very possible that I will make an option file, although I'm not sure yet whether it would be immediately, or after editing tools come out to help

Not much of an update to be honest, just a couple of transfers I missed (there's probably more), like Venegoor to Hull. I have however totally revamped the English teams line-ups based on the games so far, along with set-piece takers and captains.

This will be the last update for PES 2009. If there are slight imperfections, please update them yourself. I would ideally have liked to include all of the new Champions League teams, but I really don't feel that it is worth the effort right now with PES 2010 just around the corner.

I hope you have enjoyed using my option file and that it has enhanced your PES playing experience. I hope to be back for PES 2010...
