First up like everyone I want to see more teams.
In the ISS series it was possible to hit in a cross and have your strikers throw themselves head, or foot first, to try and connect, now im lucky to have someone in the box.
Similarly when i play a through ball and the goaly comes out to collect, i want my striker to be able to stick out a leg to try and just catch the ball before the keeper scoops it up.
You know the best nights in real footy are when results are coming in from other grounds that have an effect on your game. I would like a wee popup on the screen telling you how the Group stands if all games were to finish with present results. So if your in relegation game battle with say Derby. You are playing Liverpool, you know you need to win, but also Derby have got to loose. So while your playing it comes up that Derby are 1-0 down. So you know that if you can get the lead and holdon to it and Derby cant get back in their game, your safe. Just like they do in Live footy. I hope im explaining that clearly, Im just not sure what to call it.
I also think there needs to be more control over development, this thing about training during preseason is pityfull, I want to buy young players and train them into better players during the season, before giving them first team footy. Or drop Xabi Alonso until he can actually run faster than a geriatric!!
On that note I think its about time that when I have developed a young player and his points all improve, i want to be able to come out of Master League and go in to International games and find my club players in the National team with the Master League improvements applied to their skill level. I had this guy called Scharwz in 2006 at club level, he was Italian but he never appeared in the Italy team.
On the subject of Internationals, why the hell do i loose club players in ML because they get International callups, have not Konami noticed we now have International weeks?!?!
I would like to see valuations rise on back of International callups.
There is nothing more soul destroying than playing the ML all season, qualifying for Europe and then finding 2 teams in your group come from the same domestic league as you. I usually go Rangers/Celtic in a British ML, so maybe they are seeded in Europe as Scottish and thats why i get dumped in a group with Man U and Blackburn. If thats the case fair enough, but its getting really annoying, I played Liverpool twice in Europe, twice in league, twice in cup, twice in other cup all in one season, four of those games came one after the other. I humped them every game and saw no evidence of this AI that learns my style.
And to finish, what at the end of the day is really one long and winded moan
;
I read that the programmers arent happy with PES2008, but didnt have time to do what they wanted. Well thats fine how about next time you spend less time on the following;
Music- seriously who cares??? I switch it off as soon as i first install the game.
Commentary- Until its half decent, its nothing more than a novelty for about 2/3 days, then its off.
Regulating condition- whats the point? Its completely random and has no skill requirements at all.
Next Match- for me the only thing i want to know, is how i faired against them the last time i played and that is not on this page.
Fans pictures- seriously, do i care if the shop is selling a new product? Im not getting the money so why tell me? And whats thats stupid dog about??!
Player popularity with fans- irrelevant. And since when did the fans know anything! I pick the team not them
On the subject of money, why is everything in Points? Why not money?
Why do i play top of the table clashes in front of half empty stadiums?
When Im negotiating with a player and first attempt is rebuked, how about a reason? Is it the transfer fee, the wages, the contract length?
Think that just about covers it for me. Thing is Ive played Konami soccer since it first came out as ISS and it was only National Teams, every new edition will add something new which is good, only for it to be forgotten the following year, sometimes its the one/two option sometimes its the ability to tackle without sliding in, sometimes it the strikers getting in and on the end of crosses.
I bet anything the one addition I like- the more succesful your team is the easier it gets to sign new players- will be missing next year.
Im going for a lie down now
