PES 2009 suggestions

I've just come up with a couple idea's,

- Cage Style Football - something like 5 a side football in cages, would be so cool i think, if they done it right.

- More BIG stadiums, i think the thing that lacked in PES2008 this year was stadiums i was excited about the fact they would add a few extras, maybe even Wembely or Emirates..But i was so disapointed. I would like the more BIG stadiums in Europe to be added this year.

-Better Licenses, The teams that finish in the top 2 in the England League should be licensed IMHO. Or maybe even get the rights for maybe 4 or 6 licsensed teams, would be a huge step forward

- More Teams and League's. What happend to Bundesliga? i would like to this back in for 2009, Also the Scottish & Portuguese League's would be nice :)

- Stadium Create/Edit, I would love to this addition. The actual posibility you could create some stadiums, maybe even stadiums for teams in League 1 or 2 would be awesome. But not crappy, box stadiums they should give you options:
Base
Stands
AdBoards
Wall Design
Ect
Ect.

So you can create individual bits for the stadium.

-Boot Edit. Bring this back please(period).

On a side note:
People asking for Licensed English League, Balls, Stadiums, Will be in for a bit of a shock!:shocking:(Well Maybe Not:happy:) FIFA have exclusive rights of the England League till 2010, KONAMI have to BUY their licensed from clubs. and they are only allowed a maximum of 2 Licensed teams in the England League. But you never know, Maybe in 2010 or 2011 KONAMI might buy the Rights for the England League and FIFA will have Teams like Man Red, North London :D.

- Better Referre's, This needs to be improved massively, The game should flow, and not keep stopping for Free Kicks, every couple minutes.

- AI Free Kicks, I'm Sure this bugs most people. Every time they take a free kick they always seem to go in(no matter if you have a player on the line) or hit the bar. KONAMI need to work on that.

-AI Attacking. Every time they come forward they just seem to "Score when they want" Its really annoying.

Ok maybe not a few idea's but i needed to get it of my chest. I'm Of to revise for my GCSE's

i agree with you on the freekicks it seems that any player always scores normally 9/10 times

when ever i play The big games in my ML like Arsenal v Chelsea, Arsenal v Man u, Arsenal v Spurs Te atmosphere is the same as Arsenal v Derby. It would be great to have more pushing an option for 2 types of slide tackles . 1 which that has the intention of getting just the ball which has a low risk factor or 2 a crunching slide tackle that has a higher risk factor. also if there was some sort of meter that went up in those games with the more hard tackle' that go in. and if it reaches a curtain point u get a push around.

A similar idea is to have an agression meter for each player the higher it gets the more likely it is for that player to do something stupid of the ball like a push or something.

I feel all of this would make the bigger games much more fun and intense and most of all true to life.

Restructuring the Champions League (or King's Cup because I always change the name) is also a must if Konami want to revitalize the Master League.

#1 - I give you a scenario of eight random league and cup champions from four different leagues...

Manchester United - Arsenal
Juventus - AC Milan
Barcelona - Real Madrid
Bayern Munich - Werder Bremen

The idea of championship qualification (be they league or cup) fulfils the criteria of only competition winners qualifying for a Champions League place, maintaining its prestige while also adding importance to the domestic cup competitions, difficulty in qualification (limited spaces) and participation (teams like Ream Madrid and AC Milan trying to squeeze you out of their elite group). I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I'm sick of facing teams like Aston Villa and Middlesborough in a competition that's supposed to be 'reward' for the previous season's hard grafting. This format ensures a healthy rotation of top quality teams entering the competition to prevent the experience from going stale (e.g. Man United/Juventus/Barcelona/Bayern may win the League/Cup one season, Chelsea/Inter Milan/Valencia/Stuttgart the next) while the elimination of a qualification round means there's zero risk of an uneven ratio of teams-per-league. There’s no reason for domestic rivals to clash in the group stage.

#2 -Imagine them split into two groups of four (two league and cup champions per group) with two home and away legs in each tie...

Group A
Manchester United
AC Milan
Barcelona
Werder Bremen

Group B
Arsenal
Juventus
Real Madrid
Bayern Munich

Two groups provide an even distribution of quality throughout the competition. The quality of each side should break the predictability of knowing who’ll qualify from every group. The prospect of two home and away legs between each side (twelve matches for a single side - the same number any team plays en route to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League) emphasises the idea of a League of Champions, giving a fair and thorough assessment of how your team ranks when matched with the best the Master League has to offer as well as prolonging the competition over the course of a season. Home & Away form MUST be a factor in deciding a tied group, it's the European way...

#3 King's Cup Final

Group A winner v Group B winner

Nothing really needs explaining here, the two group winners meet in a titanic clash of epic proportions, however, such an occasion needs the appropriate stadia. My suggestion would be allowing us to customize a list of up to ten stadia in the game with 50'000 capacity or higher (Emirates, Allianz Arena, Dragao, Jose Avalade, etc...), or whatever your choice, to be set out at random to host finals for the next ten seasons. Having a fixed destination for every final would be far more realistic than a random, ugly, under-capacity stadium which fails to do the occasion justice.

#4 The Master’s Cup (or European Championship - yes, I do steal these names) - The format would mimic the current Champions League format, eight groups of four teams, home and away leg with the top two qualifying to the knock out round. Qualification would require a top five finish (or lower depending on Champions League qualification). For Example...

1st Manchester United - KC (League Champions)
2nd Chelsea - EC
3rd Arsenal - KC (Cup Champions)
4th Liverpool - EC
5th Everton - EC
6th Tottenham - EC

1st Juventus - KC (League Champions)
2nd AC Milan - KC (Cup Champions)
3rd Inter Milan - EC
4th Roma - EC
5th Fiorentina - EC
6th Udinese - EC

1st Barcelona - KC (League Champions)
2nd Valencia - EC
3rd Villareal - EC
4th Real Madrid - KC (Cup Champions)
5th Atletico Madrid - EC
6th Sevilla - EC

1st Bayern Munich - KC (League Champions)
2nd Borussia Dortmund - EC
3rd Bayer Leverkusen - EC
4th Hamburg - EC
5th Stuttgart - EC
6th Werder Bremen - KC (Cup Champions)

As you may or may not have guessed by this post, I hold a complete abhoration for the pointless qualification stage we’ve been subjected to on previous Master Leagues. I mean honestly, what’s the point a there’s only four league’s that exist? So, in my opinion, seeding should be based on League position, which would be...

Chelsea, Inter Milan, Valencia, Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool, Roma, Villareal, Bayer Leverkusen

Everton, Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid, Hamburg

Tottenham, Udinese, Sevilla, Stuttgart

This would give the player incentive to focus on the league even if the title race has already been decided, with a higher league position resulting in an easier path through the group stage as well as financial rewards varying depending on final league position. Once again no qualification stage means no risk of upsetting the teams-per-league ratio, thus the resulting draw wouldn’t feature two teams from the same League. After that the rest pretty much writes itself...

Group A
Chelsea
Villareal
Hamburg
Udinese

Group B
Valencia
Liverpool
Fiorentina
Stuttgart

Group C
Borussia Dortmund
Roma
Everton
Sevilla

Group D
Inter Milan
Bayer Leverkusen
Atletico Madrid
Tottenham

#5 Closing notes - I understand that the whole point of this game is realism, but in a mode as unique as the Master League realism is a relative term. The specialness has gone from the mode’s premier competitions and after five years a change must be made to refresh it. Oh, and for the love of GOD there MUST be a European Super Cup.

World Club Championship

I would love to see a world club championship in this.

Asia: AFC – Champions League
Africa: CAF – Champions League
North America: CONCACAF – Champions League
South America: CONMEBOL – Copa Libertadores
Oceania: OFC – Champions League

these teams can have like 2-4 of best team of their continents being computer generated in a mini cup of their competition to complete in the world championship final where the Europe: UEFA – Champions League - is done as normal by you playing, if you are not the Uefa champion this will just be be COM generated as per normal.

Also good thing about this is the same meaning can be applies to each different region in the country - Asia can be play as normal, where the rest of the continents is COM generated, same for North America(USA).

I've just come up with a couple idea's,
-Boot Edit. Bring this back please(period).
if your talking about the original boot editing style from pes 2, then i would say say yes. in pes2 you could change the colour and design of boots for individual player's, without having to overwrite default boot choices as was the case in pes6 and pes2008.

but if you talking about the boot editing style from pes 6\2008, i would have to say no because when you wanted to change a player's boot type, you couldn't do that individually like in pes2, so you had to overwrite a boot type, which meant that every other player who also uses the same boot type would have also their boots changed.

- Better Referre's, This needs to be improved massively, The game should flow, and not keep stopping for Free Kicks, every couple minutes.

ugh this biggest reason why i can't stand pes5.

1) Ability to get fired so that you need to look for new team if the results are bad
2) More agression on the pitch if rivals play, more cards, injuries, heavier tackles
3) More damage to the pitch its rainy.
4) Real Money
5) Youth Academy
6) More enthousiasm from the crowd
7) If a team if battling against relegation, that it will play much better and suprise big teams.
8) More sompetitions, like belgian league and pourtugese league with the basic leagues aswel so that the Champions league can be fuller.
9) A 2nd division for each league.
10) More accesories for players, for example CR always puts tape that comes out and gerrard just puts one layer.

Music

Like in most games the music is perennially bad. However I have seen a feature in a few games recently where you van upload your own tracks into it so you don't have to listen to rubbish or mute it. I rckon this could work very well on Pro Evo especially since it might drown out the awful commentating. "what a ball in" seconds later "What a terrible ball in".

Unlike most people here I think the ref is fine. He's actually right a lot of the time, we've just been spoiled in previous fifa/pes games where we could do whatever we liked.

On PES6, you can change the boot style & colour for every boot, i don't remember how but on most Option Files i download all the boots slots were different with different colours for each, and every player was assigned with the right boot.

Im gonna have to dis-agree with you im afriad. Everytime i play PES2008, you hold A(X360) or X(PS3) and the player pressures the one in possession, 7/10 this will lead to a foul and in some cases a yellow card. Same with sliding tackles, you put in a great sliding and win the ball and the referee red cards you.

I agree with most of what's been said and i'll steer clear of repeating everyone else with things such as online play, licences etc etc. Here's a few suggestions of my own that don't seem to have come up much so far.

- Online phrases, either give them a total revamp or get rid of them. Simply ghastly phrases such as "it went well" are laughable to be honest. Surely it can't be that difficult to create our own messages to use !?!?

- Get rid of the farking forcefield which seems to stop you going in front of the opposition at throw-ins and goal-kicks, it's utterly ridiculous. It's all to easy for a side to casually pass the ball out from the back after a short goal-kick.

- The ability to send your defenders up for corners was very well recieved on PES 2008 and it'd be good to see this feature developed even more by allowing you to say who you want to stay back for your attacking set-piece and who you want to pull back (ie. Your big CF) when defending a set-piece.

- How about varying the type of injury a player comes off with ? I'm tired of subbing an injured player and having to watch him clutch his hamstring in agony EVERYTIME.

- It would be nice to be able to challenge the GK in the air and have a hope in hell of winning the ball, you seem to be able to make the GK punch the ball in the 2008 version compared to Pro 6 where he'd catch it all the time.

Can agree that he gets out the red card a bit to often (tough when you get used to it, it isn't that big a problem. Haven't gotten one in two seasons). Sliding tackles are all about hitting the ball first, if you don't it's a free kick, maybe a yellow some times when it shouldn't be. When it comes to pulling shirt A/X I only get cards when I do it from behind (often stepping on the players heel or similar) or trip him when he's already past me.

I'm not in any way saying they are perfect, there's still much room for improvement. Just when you get used to it, it's not that bad :)

I think I would like to see PES use the Euphoria Engine from Naturalmotion into the players movement. It would totally randomize all movements so that it wont look the same everytime. It would be cool if your player gets tackled and as he wobbled hes also trying to prevent himself from falling down, or put it in the goalkeeper at least, he would then give everything he got to not let the ball go in. It would change things to better state or should we say Next-Gen, and it would be reallyyyyy cool since Next-Gen console all features Euphoria.

Isn't that the same they use in GTA? It could probably work, but it would need some modification I think.
