Hiya guys so I am back after a long time again.

So since I aint see a review for the Wii version I thought id give you a small review as I always do with a new release.

So I got the game yesterday and well had a few games got to learn the controls and also I am using the classic controller I will tell you later why I am using this.

Ok so I will be simple with this review.

Graphics are good remember its the Wii AND WHO CARES game play matters.

Ok so now the game play 100% perfect the AI is much better than the next gen console version, many tweaks to the AI especially the defence.
The game is not boring and I have not put it down since slotting it in the Wii.
The fluid of the matches are great depends how you like to play and which team you play as.

Sound, well not much to ay about the sound just normal music traks unheard of etc.

Edit mode is now available which is great so I will be creating the arsenal team of 1998 woohoo.

Now the big one for me ONLINE MODE absolutely fantastic never have i had so much fun playing this game online its just like playing pes 4 on the ps2 but online WOW guys no lag its so smooth Well done konami.

Also added bonus for the Wii TRANSFER updates will be available to download that’s great for the Wii users.

Well master league is great as normal nothing new there but we got champions league also ermm let me think what else... well not much else to say overall that this game is fab and I would recommend all pes fan who have a wii to get this game it is worth the money and you will enjoy the it and will bring back good memories of playing the classic pes games.

So I am using the classic controller lol because Its just nice to give my arms a rest lol
There is so much to do with the nunchuck etc that I just want to pick up and play and relax rather than waving the Wii wand around.

If you have any questions then please do ask.

All player stats are updated etc and all uptodate after I downloaded the update off the WFC online.

This game is rated by me 9.5/10 Pleas do not read the review from IGN it’s horrible and not correct. This game has to be the best game on the Wii behind Super Mario Galaxy.

whats the point in it if you are playing eith the classic controller? i thought the whole deal abot wii PES is that you can make great tactical moves by ordering the defence or whoever it is to make a fast break away / quick return to defence and stuff with the wiimote.

are you playing the version with the bubble head (wii looking players) or the regular one?

do you also check out the BAL mode? please review it when you do.

how did you have time to try out all these features in one day?

^Great to see the review Honda. We've apparently all been too busy complaining about PES 09 to notice there's a new version to try out

Personally, I'm still enjoying PES 09 on the 360, but I will definitely have to go grab me a copy for the wii after reading that review, and borrow a friend's wii for a while.

I'm not a fan of the wiimote for PES. How do you find the classic controller works for the game? I heard they are coming out with a new classic controller, so maybe it will be a bit more substantial and even better for PES...?

Anyway, I appreciate the review. Good to see some constructive and honest comments.

Peace.

lol Well all the features I have given a go because I had no work so I played it all day yesterday and this morning.
There is no Bal mode unfortunately

Yes mate I know what your saying is true about the controller but i just enjoy it with the classic controller, playing with the nunchuck is great too for making those runs etc but who cares its the game play I got it for, that’s what matter too me and also online is way smoother and lag free must be something to do with the konami servers for Nintendo.

And I am playing with the normal player heads lol I am gona go create the 1998 arsenal squad now Bergkamp OH YES ITS GONA BE CLASS I am using stats from pes 3 lol

Oh yah canadien yes the classic controller is great mate all settings can be adjusted on the settings menu and its not that different to the next gen controls. The new controller I am not quite sure about mate but anyways make sure you grab a copy dude you will love it.

I will follow up on Honda's comments and also say the game is great. From a pure gameplay standpoint it is much better than the ps3 version IMO.

Like Honda I haven't played anything else since I got it. I am sure if I will stick to the classic controller because you lose a lot of what the wii version is meant to be by doing that but we'll see. Regardless, IMO it is better than the ps3 version. I also think the reason the online is good is because you can set it only search for good connections, decent connections or not care about the connection so I think that helps with getting no lag. I have mine in the middle because on only good connections it is sometimes hard to find a game.

I noticed in the ign review a screenshot showing old trafford. Is it in the game? If so it is very annoying why this stadium and indeed other premier league ones are not present in pes on ps3.

Yes it is there. I think Anfield is too. However, there is only 16 Stadiums in total.

hmm, interesting. I never imagined PES to be best on Wii. How does it stand up against Fifa Ezio? I might drop a Wii if it's that good.

thats too bad because i think BAL is the biggest improvement in PES. i only play that mode and i just cant stop. ML is too boring for me after a couple of seasons, league is too exsausting (i dont know how to spell it), and cup mode is too short. in BAL you have a bigger challenge and it is more satisfying than any other mode.

ok lets get this sorted out for all of you.

I have had pes 09 on the ps3 and traded it in for fifa 09 which is a great game. to say that its better than fifa 09 well I can't its too different consoles we are comparing. Pes 08 and 09 has been a disgrace on the next gen consoles and so this is a life line for konami.

So I have to say that this pes 09 wii title is the best title around for football fans its better than the next gen version way off, so what if there is no bal mode don't personally matter to me and I am sure it won't stop anyone buying this game.

Yes bal mode is a new challenge but I think there is enough for the Wii version to last a whole year.

Still playing right now about to go online I will post my Wii friend code later so I can have a few games with anyone who has got it here.

Well as Honda said it hard to compare becuase in the differnece in systems but right now I have fifa and pes on ps3 and pes on the wii and at the moment I would rather play the wii version. I will say this, knowing your a manual player on fifa that the freedom you get on the wii with the nunchuck and remote is fantastic. It takes some getting used to of course and shaking the nunchuck to shoot will not be for everyone. The ability to drag players around and into space etc. is great and also you can pass into space which works well. Another thing I noticed comparing PES on the wii to the ps3 is that the players make much better runs off the ball on the wii than on the ps3 even if you dont move them around.

I actually scored a very nice goal on the wii the other day where i played it down the wing, got my player to the ball and managed to keep it in and then crossed in and scored off it. It felt very rewarding. Didn't save the goal though :(

I think if you have a wii or know someone that does you may want to rent it first but it really is a good game. they improved on the things that needed improving and it is better because of it.

Triggle,

One other comment. Not sure if you tried to Ultimate Team in Fifa but there is a Chmpions Road mode on the wii that is kind of similar where you have cards of players avialable after each game and there are some hints and you take a player from the other team but you dont know who your getting etc. They also have some neat things with upgrading the players in that mode that i think they should bring into the Master league.

Yah this defo is better than the ps3 version.

There is an option to play champions league online not the whole tournament but you get the licensed teams to pick, and I have also noticed that nearl 95% players online are using the classic controller hmm very interesting.

There is around 16 boots in the edit mode to choose from some nice golden pumas in there.

^I saw a gameplay vid for the Wii version. Although I don't like those graphic patterns when shooting or passing the gameplay is definately better than the ps3/360/pc version. It felt awesome. Although there are still room for improvements, the speed, passing/AI/defeiding are really good. I hope we get a Pes 2010 for ps3/pc/360 something like that. Although to be fair, pes 09 on ps3/360/pc is good too. I play it till this day and I still like it. Some goals you make feel really realistic. Others not that much. But anyway it is good too. I like it.

If pes 2010 does not see a noticable improvement in terms of gameplay on ps3 I would be very much tempted to purchase a wii to play pes in a completely different way.
