PES 2009 rumors states it will feature at least online knockout modes.
Create up t0 16 players knockout modes and battle it out till the final.

One thing that strikes me as strange, is the other thread posted about PES 2009 said that Liverpool and United were licensed and Bayern weren't even in the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's player created, just like the main menu screen.

Well to be honest, I'd just prefer them to sort out the online gameplay before we start having knockout competition's too. I personally wouldn't be arsed about playing in one if the online was like 2008.

I'm gaining publicity, and when PES 2009 hits i'm gonna beat all of you's.

And thats only if they fix hit detection, and footplanting, online gaming, and the pace.
