Pes 2010 demo feedback!

I have thanks, and I am not happy with it, I just don't understand how anyone can settle for it...

Because your not happy with it doesn't mean other people are not! I like the demo and intend to get the game on day of release! might even get FIFA 10!

I just think this whole thread is becoming a joke! people liking it, people disliking it! You cannot please everybody! but out of the 2 demos, (which are both good) I have had more fun on the PES demo!

Do you REALLY think the final version will be enough of an improvement to change peoples minds?

I just cannot see it, as someone said in another thread, if Konami were holding all the aces there was no excuse whatsoever for that terrible demo they released.

Why do people need all these fancy magazine and blogs to review a game..

When the full game comes out, Rent it, play it and make you own mind up for both FIFA 10 and PES 2010.

It wont matter a damn what some guy wrote 2 weeks earlier....anybody who dont at least play the game when the full build is out but still slate it beacuse they ''heard it was crap'' Really needs their head tested.

Usually im first in the que for PES, this year I will rent FIFA and play it before buying or not buying, and I will prob do the same for PES.

But according to those who have the review code, it's also better than we 10 demo. Why won't you accept that the pes 10 demo was an old build and things got better?

Played the demo on PS3 and the game is poor, the players still move around the pitch like they're sliding on it and there isn't an ounce of the realism that Pro used to be renowned for.

I find it hard to find any difference between the gameplay you get on Pro and Fifa.

This is 3rd installment on ps3 despite the polished looks Konami have forgotten what made the pro series so great, the realism of the gameplay.

The player dynamics on the pitch are truly awful, the ball feels like a ping pong ball at the feet of the players and I don't need add anymore to the impression the players give when moving around the pitch.

It's just awful and is nothing like what the Pro series was renowned for, whether it's a conscious effort on the part of Konami to make the game look and play Fifa they are going in totally the wrong direction.

I hear ya, but have you actually played FIFA? I'm not sure they are as similar as you make out :unsure:

So, as long as they sort out the keepers and the refs, we're in for a classic installment, i doubt it not.

Animations have been improved, and that was a major factor for me.

I'll tell you what just to set the record straight here, heres what i want from a next generation Pes.

- I want fluid animation and plenty of motion capture

- I want goalkeepers that are intelligent with plenty of animation for the multitude of variables that are presented in shooting

- I want to be able to pass the ball where i want when i want - not by using a bloody right thumbstick. I dont want PREDETERMINED PASSING.

- I want intuitive controls, not a d-pad to do skills

- i want to see new animation - not animations from two years ago, including that stupid header animation they have where players scrunch up

Thats just for starters.

I understand we all have different tastes but does anyone bother to play the Fifa demo PROPERLY at all? Is it too hard for you? Are the graphics not good enough for you? Cameras?

Because to hear the rubbish spouted by the above poster you can safely say that he hasnt bothered to play Fifa at all, or tried it with full manual control.

WE/PES used to be the king but that was last gen. Im sick of hearing these blinded fanboys rabbit on over and over about how great Pes has been in the last two years and this demo, because its a fallicy. It aint good. It aint even better than last gen.

It would be nice if we could have a few more people on here willing to discuss objectively, this demo, instead of kids who just want to throw stupid comments about.

Apart from the nice visuals and the broadcast camera (which is my favourite view) pes has nothing to shout about above Fifa. Why we cant have two good games i dont know, but we are stuck with one. And for the third year running its fifa.

First of all, which part of my post was rubbish? It seems to me that my comment about FIFA's ball physics delivered a heavy blow to your FIFA fanboy heart, 'matey'. Though i'm about to test the DEMO just to make sure i'm totally right. :lol:

Anyway, you speak as though it were a settled matter when neither game has been released yet.

You're comparing both demos even though:

I only said that the demo is an improvement from 2009 and that ball physics have always been better than FIFA's.

What's with the anger anyhow? Are you sad that it's not as amazingly innovative as you'd like it to be, or just defending FIFA because you think it's better?

Yes and they are as bad as the all loving Pes lot who are desperate for the return of their once heralded title.

I dont think the community is that harsh on konami actually. Reading this site, evo web in parts and deffo WENB, you'd think there wasnt a problem.

Thats a good point muzza, 90% of PES fans arent happy with PES from Ps3 onwards... but they are equally unhappy about FIFA.

Why on earth there are only 2 games on the market is beyond me.

I dont like the current PES and although FIFA has made some amazing improvments in recent years, it still is , well.. FIFA.. A game for the SKY Generation Post Euro 96 football fan IMO..

My main gripe is how KOnami has let FIFA catch up or as most say pass out.

ISS Pro Evo on Ps1 was seriously miles ahead of the then Fifa 98

Thats not constructive, it puts you across in a bad light and to be fair its not even accurate. Fifa had a few niggles last year with floaty shots but anyone who has played the demo can attest to these being fixed, just a minor problem with curl on crosses.

As ive said my main gripe is that those praising Pes to high heaven are doing no favours for the community as a whole. If the core fanbase say they like it (especially just to save face) Konami will do nothing about the state of the game. Why should they?

You see thats rubbish. If this was pre 2008 i would whole heartedly agree with you but they ripped that model up. its no longer like that. Its just a stereo type thats stuck with a name.

My slightly ott comment was aimed at their previous versions. I'll be testing this one tonight.

Actually, i completely agree, man. I've been saying that for years.

They're using basic marketing schemes, and that's just sad coming from a culture that's supposed to be perfectionist.

I'd expect it from the yanks, but not from them.
