well I have mixed opinions about this game. When I first played it, the graphics took my breath away. They are outstandingly realistic. The lighting effect gives a good effect to the game and presentation is flawless.
Moving onto gameplay now which is obviously the most important factor. I like the game speed now as it feels more realistic than pes 2009. Passing is good, but not on par with Fifa 10. Shooting, as always on pes, brilliant. From the general feedback of the demo, people are finding the players robotic and unresponsive, I to find them a bit unresponsive and heavy if you understand me. It is a step up from pes 2009, but some aspects still feel like pes 2009.

After about 10 games or so...

Liked:
- New graphics. Looks great. Field looks great. Looks better than FIFA imo.

- It feels more than ever now like the ball is actually separate from your player. You can't make some of the ridiculous moves anymore. You don't always trap it perfect or can lose it right away if the defender is all over you. The ball will also take more realistic deflections and redirections more often, imo.

- Overall the defensive AI/ability seems to be better. I've seen maybe one questionable break down on defense, but that's it.

- Keepers much more aggressive. Haven't yet seen a play where a keeper should be getting the ball and just stands there and watches like was a common problem in '09.

- Slide tackles. I've seen some wicked challenges that just destroyed guys and no foul was called because the defender got the ball before he got the man. I like that.

Disliked:
- Twice I've seen the keepers make very bad errors. Once on a very weak header he was in position for and could have easily caught the ball but he just pushed it over top of the bar for a corner. Second time a relatively slow cross was coming into the box. Keeper could have caught it normally, dove for it instead, and half punched it/half dropped it (?, couldn't really tell what happened) to the top of the 18 where it was promptly put in the goal by an opponent.

- Twice I'd told a keeper to try to get to a bouncing ball outside the box with an opponent close by. Both times the keeper slid feet first at the ball as soon as they got outside the box and didn't come close to winning it. What is that about? Just run through and head it or clear it.

- I have not yet been able to get a player to strike a shot first touch. They always want to trap it and then shoot.

- Players still don't seem to do a very good job making off the ball runs into open space when you're mounting an attack.

- While most of the time the defense has been good on corners I have seen two absolutely atrocious break downs that both lead to goals. The first I ended up having a player run in completely unmarked and just head it in from around the penalty spot. He didn't have a defender within 5 yards of him. Second time the players were marked but when the ball was struck two offensive players moved towards the center of the field while the men marking them moved away. The first guy was wide open and just put it past the keeper, but even if he didn't get the ball the man behind him was wide open as well.

- Free kicks. I had a free kick from just inside midfield. With the exception of one or two players lined up short directly in front of me, everyone else was lined up directly in front of me clustered around the 18. Why don't the players spread out more? At least width-wise, if not length-wise as well.

Like/Dislike

- I have had a ton of shots blocked by defenders. If you're shooting into a crowd of like more than one it's almost always blocked. While shots were rarely blocked in the past, it almost feels like it happens too much now. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this yet.

I definitely like it better than FIFA, and plan on buying PES at this point, but I would definitely like to see the problems I saw addressed if possible. At the very least the GK issues. Nothing worse than giving up a goal because of a stupid, unrealistic, mistake by the GK.

ive played 2 games already.. and alls i can say is that the graphics are amazing.. but the game kinda feels too similiar to fifa... seeing as last year the demo underwhelmed and the final game was much better.. heres hoping its the same this year.

PS3. You know, I haven't even bothered making tactical changes. Just playing with default settings on Top Player.

In my opinion graphs are amazing very professional non of that fifa cartoon shit, but gameplay players are very dribling,i like messi boody language, but sometime time henry and ibra do skills without me asking them...the pass method on the beginning is very diferent from pes 09,but then u get used.probably konami will do a fews changing until release of the final game.my rate for the demo 8.5 from 0 to 10.

Just played my 1st game (2:30 am lol) and i love it!!!

It does seem a little unresponsive when your playing and i hope they have fixed it when it comes out, other than that i am very happy with the game!

Amazing graphics!

Like everyone else has commented, the graphics are unreal, im playing the demo on PS3 platform, and its very good.

I am dissapointed about the reaction times, the controls seem very "heavy" and not as responsive as PES 2009.......

I really hope this gets fixed in the final release version....

Ohh and also, what do we have to do on the analogue stick to make full use of 360 degree movement ? I still don't know exactly what it improves ?

Yeah, the graphics are amazing! I felt the same about the unresponsiveness of players. Like you say, this hopefully will be fixed as this is only a build of the game and not the completed article. Did anyone notice the camera angles are wrong though? I play on wide and the wide camera angle is normal long. Probably just an error on the demo.

I've just played a bit on PS3.
First of all the graphics are great.
I agree with the people who commented that the responsiveness is slower. It looks that I am playing with my BAL character when he was 17... Well, maybe it's just a matter of learning the new gameplay.

What I did not like was to see that the scripting is very present even in this demo. A bit frustrating about this to be honest.

Anyway, I guess I need to play a little bit more. :)

I could play pes 2009 well with my laptop specs but with pes 2010 I notice my screen flicked, I have changed to a lower settings but it remains. Overall, great graphics. I hope pes 2010 will not eat hardware in the final.

I'm really impressed from the demo. The last PES game I played was 2008 and I refused to buy 2009 because konami made me so mad. I was pretty much set on buying Fifa 10 after playing the demo but then I tried the PES demo and now I'm not sure which to buy. I was really impressed with the visuals and the improved gameplay.

The only problem for me is, when a PES game is released, that's it. They dont have any patches, no roster updates, they just sell you the game, and move on to next years. If konami actually supports this game after release with roster updates or patches, I might have to get this one.

What are you talking about?

There have been several versions of PES with patches and data updates!

Demo is rubbish. Not feeling it all. Hopefully the finished product is better.

Players move like they have a pole down their shorts.

Gameplay speed is still too fast for me... both passing & player movements.

Graphics wise (as said many times above) is top class, something that FIFA hasn't improved on on their upcoming 2010 (demo) version.

However, PES 10 still has that arcadey feeling....
