PES 2010 edit mode

I don't remember it this was an unofficial version of the game or not,
but quite a while ago I remember going on my cousin's PS2, and completely redesigning a team. I could even create the logos!
Does anyone remember that??
When I bought my first PES for my xbox 360 (07), I was so disappointed that the editing mode was so limited. I used to have so much fun editing on my cousin's PS2.

Sounds like PES5 to me.

I don't know how can anyone say that pes 2009's edit mode was limited. It was the BEST edit mode so far. The reason was that you could even create textures in your PNG's + the sponsors and all the words written on the kit would be there unlike when using logos. The only downfall was that there weren't enough templates and the shorts didn't have a logo placement.

^^ money...they cant afford to have the England League as of yet or maybe fifa have the sole rights for such league...but konami at the moment can only have two teams...and as liverpool and man utd are looking the two most successful teams currently

Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, the current contract for FIFA to have the Premier-ship exclusive license will end in 2010.

Sorry for posting this in this thread, I've been absent from the forums and news on both PES and FIFA lately. But since it has something to do with editing, I thought I'd bring it up here.
I just saw this in the "other gaming forum" under "FIFA10":
http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=70883&page=7
Please have a look at thread #100 from "skullverine" with the videoclip in it. Search for about 7:09 into the clip, and watch the edit set pieces clip!!! This is entirely new to me - and I must admit: It looks absolutely cool! Especially when you get those freekicks, where your chances at goal are really slim. Now you can create a goalscoring opportunity by making different players make "weird" runs to confuse the defenders - then make quick 1-2 passes and have a great shot at goal!! Brilliant! What a shame PES didn't come up with this first though...

so it was a bit limited then?

What the? Every edit mode can be beter and it was limited to a certain point, but my point was that the ps2 version's edit mode was much more limited. When in the ps2 days, could you add textures to kits and add all the little text possible on the kits?

Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, the current contract for FIFA to have the Premier-ship exclusive license will end in 2010.

so after that then we can hope konami will wake up and get in there before fifa...

PES 2009 Edit mode has now set the way for editing in console games no longer will we need to manually edit colors in pixel length we will simply insert a .png to change the interface of something... I truly believe that konami were testing this out in pes2009 to see if it would work and to see how effective it was...

in pes 2009 it was limited how due to the fact it was only available for the front of kits but not in term of creativity if you have a knowledge for graphics then you can create any kit you like via PS or FW or any other programme that is capable of producing .png's..
if konami now utilize this option the possibilities are now endless as long as WE get the layouts right we could do:

*socks
*shorts
*Balls
*Boots
*background images (future pes)
*advertising boards(future pes)

all these things are possible with the ability of .png uploads...

also with the .MP3 uploads they could be utilized into many different areas...

I never got PES 2009, and I don't have, and don't plan on getting the Live Camera.
Will I need that to be able to edit on my Xbox 360 on PES 2010?
I heard that if you insert a USB, you can just use the pngs you guys were talking about.

Will that work?

basicly .png are files that can have a transparrent background so you can create any image you wan using photoshop or fireworks then save it onto a USB flashdrive and then insert it onto the game via the upload facility that pes 2009 offers....

ill upload some samples later on to show you if you want

Oh Alright.
I really hope they do institute that into the new game.
I'm certainly not getting a PS3, lol. Too much money to spend, when I'm trying to save up to buy this year's games.
Right now, I have on my list:
-PES 2010 (And/Or Fifa10)
-Halo ODST (Maybs...)
-Modern Warfare 2
-Transformers 2 (I am on hold to rent it at my library, let's see if it's any good before I buy it).

i would say the Operation flash point 2 is a must buy it will make COD look like a PS1 game trust...its an actual war simulator... http://www.codemasters.co.uk/flashpoint/index.php

I didn't mind last years edit mode really, thou for a xbox 360 user, taking pictures of all the emblems and kits and then having to cut round them all was abit of a chore, but I was under the impression that konami would continually update the boots on PES 2009 think they did it once with adidas f50+ thats it! where since then there has been loads of new nike and adidas boots out better then the ones in game , with no update to keep the game fresh. plus more kit variations would be nice, plus even a boot set that you can change the colours of yourself

we need :

More Kit Designs (Shirts , Short & Sock Designs)
Starting Budgets In Master League
Transfers (Loan & Free Agent = All Year Round)
More Hairstyles (this is a must considering most of the hairstyle are basicly the same kind of cut)
more badge spaces (for people who want to create a FULL LEAGUE (german league or whatever league they like)

if possible , when you add kits not all the files everywhere , try include the kits into the Edit saved data means you only have 1 BIG FILE which is easier for us all

For years PES editing mode has always been one of the best for a sports game but over the years there have been some obvious blips such as PES 4 which had no striped kits in the template but silly kits with Hearts on them.

The reason why people love the edit mode is becuase

1. It lets you keep player stats up to date of in some cases correct them

2. it lets you keep kits and playing accessories up to date

3. Player creations can be pretty accurate

the list goes on but one of the things that was noticed in last years version and many other releases is that you have not been able to get kits spot on such as the Arsenal strip in 2009 which is 90% accurate.

KITS

Here are a list of the main kit manufactuers in Europe, Asia and the Americas

Adidas (Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Japan, Nigeria, France, Germany, Mexico, Russia & River Plate)

Canterbury (Portsmouth)

Champion (Wigan & Wales)

Diadora (Napoli, Scotland)

Errea (Atalanta)

Kappa (Roma, Torino, Metz & Borrussia Dortmund)

Le Coq Sportif (Everton & Wolves)

Lotto (Borussia Monchengladbach, Colombia)

Nike (Arsenal, Aston Villa, Fulham, Celtic & Boca Juniors)

Puma (Cameroon, Italy & Feyenoord)

Reebook (Bolton)

Umbro (Lyon, West Ham, Sunderland & Man City)

Now this is an exhaustive list and I have not even mentioned all of the teams who's kits are provided by these manufactuers. I dont see why Konami can't approach these manufactuers and ask for their templates for a fixed period that way the kits will be 100% authentic both player and GKs kits. There must be the capacity to add these templates onto Blu Ray or 360/PC DVD. The big four Nike, Adidas, Umbro & Puma will have the most templates, mid companies like Kappa, Le coq Sportif & Lotto will have a few and the likes of Champion, Canterbury & Errea are gonna have maybe one or two. it would be nice if they looked as good as the licencsed kits as well.

The short length option form the previous PES games should be brought back as classic players did not have shorts as long as they do now example below. Also the shirt tightness option as in PES 3 as some of these kits and shorts are tighter fitting than others.

Maradona in 86

Torres now.

Kit Options

One of the best options introduced was the untucked or tucked shirts and the socks low sock high as there are many players that wear their kit in specific ways and in some ways it emphisies the players personality on the pitch.

Obviously in the Totti, Hleb and Henry photos you notice the difference in the way socks are worn. I have noticed there are more players due to shirts being tighter are wearing their sleeves in what is best described as a 3/4 roll.

Also the slight variations in the way tape is worn as on PES you have the standard one ring round the ankle but there are variations as shown below

Ronaldo normally wears his with some kind of ankle sock/guard

Gerrard wears his the traditional way which is featured in PES.

Torres also wears it similar to Ronaldo

Lastly le sulk wears his higher up his socks.

Accessories

Genrally PES gives a good variation of accessories for players the only things I'd want included are the ability like in 2K9 to wear club writstbands like Joe Cole does for Chelsea.

Equitment

PES has alsways had a good selection of boots but one of the major problems has been that you have 3 or 4 pairs of Predators taking up fours slots when common sense says you have all the Predator colours on one slot freeing up another 3 slots. In terms of boots the following boot manufactuers models

Adidas (Predator, World Cup, F50 & AdiPURE)

Nike (Mercurial Vapor, T90 Laser, Tiempo & Air Legend)

Puma (V.1.08-5.08, Konstruct & King)

Umbro (SX Flare & SX Valor)

Mizuno (Morelia Pro Japan)

Lotto (Zhero Gravity)

Diadorra (Brasil Italy & Pro Line Axler)

Asics (Testimonial, Lethel Testimonial)

Reebok (Instante Pro)

Again these are a few of the boots available but Konamai could have all the styles of the big boys Adidas, Nike & Puma could be given the 11 slots with the different colour schemes all on the same slot. These are the most worn then for some of the other brands you could either assign them one slot for there most popular boot or make their boots & logos creatable in the edit mode.

Again I think for classic players if you had this would give that extra authenticity.

Adidas (World Cup)
Puma (King)
Nike(Earl to Mid 90s Tiempo)

Goakeeper Gloves

There is absolutely no reason why GK gloves are not licensed in the game or that they are not editbale there is nothing more annoying having a GK like Buffon wearing black gloves when he has been wearing all white for the past season.

Adidas
Nike
Puma
Selsport
Umbro
Reusch
Sells

These are the main maunfactuers but Konami could either get licences for the big boys as most keepers wear Nike, Adidas, Puma than Umbro/Sells/Selsport. If Konami had a goalkeeper glove editing the following(strap colour, palm design, top design, top colour and logo) These could be inlcuded to then most of theses manufactuers gloves could be editied into the game.

Less of the gardening/mickey mouse gloves

and more

Konami has sinced confirmed this has been sorted and WENB claimed that gloves are licensed.

Player Faces

My only issue I have is not being able to create spot on likenesses is there noe way you can include past players whether as licensed faces or just within the mutlitude of noses, mouths, eyes & eyebrows. Surely that would not be a breach as they are in the game but then concievably any person in the world could be in there if someone has the patience to make them. It seems a real shame to myself and that preset players look awesome but made up one or classic have a wierd look about them.

Player Hair

Can you please do a bit my research into afro type hair because for certain players like Essien the hair is awful you need more black hairstyles including a smaller afro for players like Glen Johnson pre braids.

It would be nice if you had and accurate Valderama hairstyle as well as 20-30 historic hairstyles such(I know you have a few) as Maradona's barnet from 1986, Paul Brietner's German afro, Waddles mullet.

And a decent Baggio hairstyle would be nice

I had to include that one those are the best perms ever!! :D

I just thought I'd put all my thoughts into a monster post including my thoughts on other areas of editing

There is no reason why the following could not be editiable

Balls as it would be nice to be able to use NIKE balls when playing the English league but the last time I remember the NIKE ball was only available for the La Liga when it was Licensed. The following balls are used for the following Leagues

Official England League Ball

Official La Liga Ball

Official Serie A Ball

Official Europa League Football

Official Champions League Ball

As you can see these are mainly Nike and Adidas balls but you can also add Mitre who do the Championship & England home internationals.

Why not have more licensed balls i.e just the models and not the fac that they are attributed to a icensed league and also the ability to be able to edits balls to create ones that are not in the game.

You could have your base ball I'd say 4 panel styles like below

Long Panel

Classic Panel

Modern Panel

You then should have the ability to edit the base ball buy colouring panels like below

Or Adding patterns and colours like the two below

These could then be available during the match selection and league selection mode.

As I said in the above post the League Logos should be editable and this should purely be done the same way badges are done. If possible if it could be incorporated into the game so that when playing the EPL all the shirts will display the EPL logo on their shirts like so

This should be the same for La Liga, BundisLiga, Seria A and any other league we may wish tyo create.

I would also like to see editable trophies if possibe as it would just mean that we are able to edit the

International Cup trophy
The various league trophies
European Champions Trophy
Americas Trophy
Asia Trophy
Africa Trophy

For instance to create the EPL trophy it would be a case of chosing a base and then handles

Base wise you could have

Trophy(EPL, La Liga, European Championship, Uefa Cup, Champions League, Copa America, )
Vase (The only one I can think of is the F.A vase)
Plate(Budisliga, Ligue 1 )
Sheild(Cahrity Sheild)
Statuette(World Cup, African Nations Cup)

You could then have the choice of adding arms to the trophy which could be moved into place and then the colour of the trophy and maybe and option to add the winning teams colours.

To sum up my entire post why not make the edit mode as open as possible to give each individual player the possibility to edit the various elements of the game to their liking.

I also think that a possible community sharing mode like the one in NBA2K9 that allows other users to log into a database to download created content would be a great way for PES fans to have all their creation stored on one central database.

I would be interested to know if the PS3 edit mode could ever be on Par with PC Editing is there anyway to open it up so we can be as accurate as our PC counterparts?
