PES 2010 - Is it easy or is it hard?

I agree with the above. I'm not a great player of pro probably average but I found that in the ps2 days that top player was too hard for me. These days it's less stressful esp if you are playing the likes of Barca v Real etc where you can juts run past full backs etc, however I find playing as poor teams even against another poor team, to be pretty difficult just to score again I just want to say I am average at best.
To conclude pro evo is now more enjoyable for the majority of everyday players but I can understand if the ridiculously good players ie players who can thrash the likes of Real Madrid 8-0 with teams such as Sundderland on top player mode, find the game too easy but that standard is unrealistic as most people don't have time to practise that long on a game yep that's right it's a game so get over yourself! besides theere is always online.

The game's just way too easy this year, which is really sad because I think it's the best version in ages aside from this fact (refs being too lenient doesn't bother me much).
The lack of challenge is a combination IMO of both being too easy to score and the AI not attacking enough. Before the main patch (1.03 I believe) it was too easy to score on headers. After the patch, they fixed that but now it's just as easy to score from close and tight passing in and around the box, especially cut-backs or back-heels to first time shots. The AI still just sits back and watches. A big part of the problem IMO is the pass accuracy being too high, and shots being too easy to pull off when players are off balance or in positions from which certain shots should be nearly impossible. For example, running from right to left a player can hit a screamer into the top right corner of the net with outside of the right boot (even without outside shooting card), and when he's also leaning back and away from the shot with only the outside tip of the toe making contact.

Yes in Master league its easy with big teams and big players. There is no logic. The more you play the easier it gets beacuse you get better players not cause of your skills

Problem is that top player doesn't increase the AI enough so the computer players are better but rather its main effect is to give you a handicap so that it is harder to score you lose almost all 50/50 challenges and the defenders are always able to get back in time if you break the offside trap and are away, and more passes go astray and more times it takes an absurd amount of time between pressing the shoot button and the player shooting allowing the computer to get the ball. Not to mention the referee giving the AI more free kicks and letting them away with fouls. And the keepers are tranformed with your team getting a bumbling Pub team goalie who is hungover from the night before and struggles to catch a ball while the AI team gets an on form Gordon Banks.
Going foward the AI is hopeless and doesn't score many goals even on top player as I have conceded less than half as many goals as any other team in my master league. But i reckon most people like their games to be easy to beat and hate being beaten in PES and konami recognise this and doesn't make the game too hard.
Although if they made it harder i think people would be angry and complain even more, just look at all the complaints when it came out, and the patch has made it easier as loads of people were complaining about it being too hard and konami were forced to make it more forgiving with all the complaints about how passes were going astray and how one touch football was hard to play and how hard it was to score. Although it is still much harder to score than in fifa and one of the reasons i think fifa is so popular is that it is much easier and requires less skill. Even on harder difficulties in fifa all you need to do is close your eyes tap the pass button a few times and passes never go astray no matter what direction you press or how hard you pass it, the pass will always go with perfect weight and direction straight to a player who will have perfect control with his first touch. While in Pes passes must be timed and directed and weighted right or they can go astray and players often need a touch to control the ball and can miscontrol so it is much harder to play one touch football and sometimes you need to keep the ball and pass back or sideways and build pressure before you can score unlike fifa where there is nearly always a foward pass on and play goes quickly from end to end.

Agreed.
Same thing here. I am able to beat the CPU 5-6 nill even with a weak team. Because the AI is very bad.
The only challenge is online where players are much tougher to beat. But we need a strong AI for the computer as well.:erm:

For the first time, in my whole playing PES (from first to 2010), i decided to up the level to 4 star. Now thats what i mean, the game is totally different!!! First game in the CL with arsenal i lost to AC milan 2-1 and they played just like their real life counterparts, getting a goal was satisfaction again. 3 star is just a goal fest, 4 star is the real deal!!!
Take Thailand to the World Cup final on Top Player and then post here again how easy it is.
I just played online as Thailand against Barca and got a 1-0 win LOL but i suspect my opponent was crap but i still struggled to beat him cause my players were useless and my goal was a defence fuck up were 4 Barca defenders collided which left me an open goal from 3 meters and i nearly missed it.

Im finding it hard atm, just got into Europa with Hull but signing players is a bitch
The difference between the top teams and bottom teams is noticable plus the AI can rip you a new one if you dont pay attention
