omg i just went back to the original game after using v1.05 patch, i didn't realize how much better it was with the patch, and how crap the AI was originally, has anyone played BAL with patch v1.07, what are the differences compared with v1.05

I know the feeling, after some time off I had to get back to this.... the default is just soooooo bad!

I have made up my mind, 1.07 is like going back to the default game.

Gonna try 1.06b.

To me, so far, 1.06a is the better, even though is a tad fast.

Good to know, I still have in my comp: 1.02, 1.05 (which felt really good), so I guess it's worth to get 1.06a,b:s and probably that's it, pes is good enough

Well, the patching is good and all but I kind of wish the defenders didn't catch up to you as quickly as they do right now. Hard to go anywhere, even with fast dribblers. I think sometimes they should be allowed to close down, but sometimes they should struggle. Like in real life.

But regardless, I wonder what our magic genie will produce for us next. Looking forward to 1.08

This is awesome, I can finally play Top Player without banging my head through the wall in grief.

In BAL particulary this is welcome, I am no longer able to control a match by assists and goals at will, and it feels more like an accomplishment to achieve results. The AI cheating is not completely gone though, but it's so much less noticeable that the ones I notice I simply laugh away and explain them as rare oddities.

14 BAL games played since installing the second version of this patch.
6 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses as Napoli in Serie A, inlcuding losses against Inter, Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio. Most games against evenly matched teams are actually even if you count chances, although effectiveness makes scorelines sometimes tell a different story, like in real life.
Because I can play at Top Player now, I am no longer my teams main assist leader, or main goal scorer which is good considered this is first season. I was previously unable to play at Top Player because of the poorly hidden AI scripting, making the game unplayable in my opinion.

I am very happy, and I look forward to see if this guy can remove the defender catch-up completely, though it seems a lot better. (might be imagination)

oh, is definitely better, defenders sometimes catch up, but also struggle to do so vs fast strikers like in RL.

But regardless, I wonder what our magic genie will produce for us next. Looking forward to 1.08

Apparently komu mentioned on his forum there will not be 1.08 till after KONAMI's update..

Don't be said, think about it... that's a good thing! He just said he would make another patch AFTER Konami releases their patch. Now we have some hope for the future too.

Well, Konami will be releasing a patch in a few days so we should be seeing v1.08 sometime late next week.

yeah i just saw Konami's update will be around the 24th, i thought it will be like in 2 months or so..so thats good.
Also the list of fixes seems promising ..maybe we dont even need extra gameplay patches after this update? time will tell...

I really don't trust Konami and their patching abilities.... they have failed time and time again.

I agree. I'm not happy with 1.07 at all. EVERY SINGLE through ball the AI gets into my box while my teammates never do the same nor can I personally. When the AI passes a through ball my defenders just stand there for a second or two. When I pass a through ball the AI IMMEDIATELY reacts.

Also, my defenders are losing the ball in the back end when they could simply pass to another defender. Puyol has allowed 10 goals in 15 games, 2 being OWN goals. I hate the guy now, he ALWAYS losses the ball. Even to lesser players.

Finally, every single team plays world class and puts 400% pressure on my BAL player the instant he gets the ball! But the AI has possession and my teammates just stand off until it's in the box. I say 400% because the moment I get the ball I have 4 guys on me but when a teammate of mine has the ball this does not happen. That's just not fair! I'm looking for tough matches but through fairness.

And all this is on Professional, I can't imagine Top Player. I'm going back to a previous patch instead.

Can someone please explain in a 1-2-3-step by step style how to implement the patches. I have the no cd-exe from gamecopyworld, because i hate to put my disc in it everytime i play the game..

Can you teach this patch noob how to implement the patch

1) download file (i recommend 1.06a, maybe 1.06b)
2) open file
3) click "patch"
4) play game......

doesn't get much easier

I personally liked the 1.06a best, but I can not use it because most players with the "Passer" skill card becomes unable to hit any passes at all. So I am using 1.06b for now, which is not as good but has no passing issues. The shooting seems rather bugged in this version too, but I can deal with it.

I have only tried 1.02 and 1.06a + b though, so if anyone has tried them all and can give a short explanation of how they affect the game, it would be very welcome. The authors "Fixed some quirks" simply don't do it for me...
In my experience it's not always the latest of these kinds of patches that are the best ones. And from what I've read here 1.07 is a major step back.

EDIT: I changed my mind, I like v1.02 best of the ones I've tried. The is a nerve in the matches in this version, the AI players looks more like they want to win every ball, both my team and opponent. I play BAL almost exclusively though, I can imagine this version being a bit unforgiving to defensive errors, and they come in a bundle with the weird cursor switches.

Tried, for me it I just got an error all the time and when I tried the application that you can get in the folder, it put Pes2011 back to version 1.0.1, which I kinda knew it would.

Guess we'll have to wait for 1.0.8, I'm sure Komu is working on it as we speak.

NOTE: the patch tool didn't work with my 1.20 updated version of the game, so I used the exe in the 1.08a folder instead.

Wow these patches look really interesting, I don't like the idea of tonning down the AI though, i know the cheatings annoying sometimes but it makes the game more difficult. Is there a patch which fixes the passing so it isn't scripted but the AI is still good or better?

1.08a looks good! Might have to give it a go!
