Hah...Pes is ten times better, how could you put them on equal. Fifa has no soul, fifa has players without weight and inercia, when you turn 180 degrees in fifa , the ball just stick to player foot. The tricks have very arcade feel at all and so on and so on. The only better maded things are penalties, comentators and some animations, mostly on tacles with player impact engine, nothing more nothing less.

Tbh, shooting feels better in FIFA than it has in any game recently.

your just doing what the FIFA fans were doing with PES 13 hating on it without giving it chance.

FIFa 13 demo felt the same as 12 if not worse to me aswell for the 1st game or 2.

but after 4 or 5 games i could see the difference. theirs a big difference.

matches no longer feel boring. it feels like a game were anything can happen. its a lot more exciting than 12.

i even found myself being able to cross the ball perfectly. i allways avoided crossing in fifa 10 11 12 ( when i played them ) because it was atrocious.

this is not FIFA 12 its moved on

give it chance play 5 or 6 games get used to it. then judge it

Hehe, believe me friend i give every game since ISS and fifa94 a lot of chance, but i dont need so much time to judge with my 23 years real football experience and same years game experience, so fifa is not the game for me with the things i wrote before ;)

So been playing more Fifa 13 Demo this morning and I still feel the same about it. I don't see how anyone can say the shooting is good, it's dog awful... Same as the keepers. You put it in the bottom right of the goal (even when standing still) and 90% of the time it will go in.

The Impact engine also still needs tweaking, I win a tackle but the majority of the time the ball seem to stick to the opposition or I knock my toe on the opposition players leg and I go flying.

The match speed is awful also, the pitches do feel well too small - I agree with what someone else said on here, if you took the midfielders away the same would play better lol.

- Pros
Chip shots are perfect.
Little extras like booking in the wall and handballs

-Cons
Constant connection to server slowing down the start-up
Trying to incorporate too much into the game - Match day etc
Pitches feel too small for all the players
Players don't feel in complete control of the ball
Passing is crap (Haven't tried manual yet)
Shooting is awful and too easy to score in front of goal.
Impact engine still needs tweaking - Better than last year but not a great deal
You cannot play a good game of football, it's either one side of the pitch or the other at a constant rate. 45% / 5% / 50%

lol im a PES die hard myself mate.

iv defended PES in the comments section of gaming websites for the last 5 years. even tho it was like Barcelona vs leeds united in the FIFA fans favour because of how badly PES was designed from 08 to erm? but i still argued that PES played a more realistic game of football which it did.

but i have to say FIFA 13 is good. its an improvement on FIFA 12 by quite a distance. you have to be a blind fanboy to think other wise

I enjoyed the PES demo much more than the FIFA demo. FIFA feels like FIFA 12.2, and not a full upgrade, which is kind of disappointing.

However, the PES demo had me hooked, I can't wait for it to come out!

Does anyone feel that fifa 13 is way too fast? It's faster than 12 for sure. I'm going to play it more but so far PES is miles better.

Not like it matters. i'm off to uni a few days after pes is out, so if i buy one, it will be in mid-december

FIFA13 demo and 12 are both too fast. A square pass with little distance from your CB to your RB is like lightning. But at least there are a load of options to slow down passes, or slow down overall game play.

Still don't like my crosses in FIFA13 being cleared by a CPU header that miraculously falls to a DMF feet every time.

this demo is brilliant and looks like its bringing alot of old pes fans back to the series. its such a joy using Juve on thise demo, they play very realistically

Fair enough, but if i get fifa 13, it will be for the online part so any slowing down for offline modes would be reset

The more i play this demo verses the fifa demo, The more i think pes is the better game this year. Obviously there only demos, And fifa's online modes will be good as always but the gameplay is better in pes. Can rest assured that i will only be buying pes again

I agree with the post above. I've played both demos FIFA and pro and when ever I'm playing FIFA I just want to play pro again, it feels more polished in every aspect, really impressed. And with happily hand over my hard earned cash for it.

played about 3 games of FIFA 13..... im always open and not a fanboy but i really think it isnt very good. Players seem retarded when running with the ball. The graphics are very cartooney. Seems like the players are floating above the pitch.

Will play a bit more because its unfair to judge on 3 games.

I am a die hard....well was, a die hard PES fan myself...but i cannot be biased. Fifa kicks PES arse up and down the pitch all day any day.

I was away playing both demos ...and Fifa is superior PES ..period.

I have seen where many have said that PES2013 feels like the old PES and i agree ...it does. Only difference is that PES 2013 has now adapted what Fifa has dropped ...FLOATY GAMEPLAY WITH FLOATY ANIMATIONS....the game feels like a retarded arcade game.
...and it does look and feel like the old pes...example
PES 6 Arg vs Bra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqEyNJQvQcw
PES 2013 Arg vs Bra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_RpHnVO6uQ

Now take a look at both games in full ...and tell me that they are not very similar ...

Now to address the illusion in PES 2013.
Konami has done two basic thing with this version.....
1. Increase the size of the pitch .....this give the players a huuuge amount space that it is unbelievable ...i cannot lose a game on the demo even if i tried. Freedom is not really there....just alot of space with is very unrealistic. Passing has become ridiculously easy because of the huge amount of space.

2. Overpowered Shooting. This makes the game fun because.. now everybody shoots from outside the 18. So everyone likes the demo because it is much easier to score...from even kickoff ...has anyone seen the video on how to do that?

Now for Fifa ....what can i say?... PERFECT!
Realistic pitch size compared to player models
Amazing animations ...very realistic
Shooting is perfect
Amazing tussles which looks realistic..including collisions
Smooth gameplay
intelligent AI
and of course a very true to life simulation

Basically, i can say this ....PES has moved to a arcadish game perfect for casual gamers....it has no heart or soul to the game.

Fifa is for hard core gamers like myself who is up for a challenge ...no two games are the same. Fifa requires skill ...you cannot just run past a defender to beat them like in PES ....you have to plan your runs and learn a couple skill tricks for your boss players like Messi....

PES is ok this year .....if you are a casual gamer who like arcade games.

Fifa is for hard core gamers who are up for the challenge ...

That's so strange. Since I've got back into PES in 2011 if always thought the opposite regarding pitch size. Maybe it's to do with camera angles. Although, I do think the further away the camera is to gameplay the less realistic both games feel.

I definitely disagree with the 'floaty' animations. After playing PES demos to death, and then trying Fifa13, attempting to control players on defence was extremely difficult for me due to this reason. They feel a lot more floaty (without the ball) than on fifa12, as this wasn't a major issue when I hopped back and forth between the games last year.

I do think it's easier to dribble past opponents (without skill moves) on PES. Due to the speed merchant last year, this went into overdrive, but I do prefer the dribble system over fifa's. Online fifa tho, the 'skillers' who attempt to skill your entire team with one player drives me insane just as much as the speed merchants. I don't use skills much, but I like the ones in PES (simple double touch + nutmeg) over fifa's, but I find them a lot harder to pull off. Maybe that's why I like them more, not everyone will be able to pull them off successfully. This is a part of fifa that is definitely aimed towards kids and casual gamers. And partly because of this, it helps ruins the simulation aspect of the game.

I think both games this year has toned down parts of their game to help become a little more realistic. eg. pace whoring and speed merchant effectiveness

Glad you've found your perfect game. I'm still in search for mine :(

PS. Both games are played by casual gamers who like arcade + both games are played by hardcore gamers in my opinion. (and neither one comes close to a simulation when playing against twats online lol)

I disagree with the fact that PES skills are harder to pull off.

This is one of the main reasons why majority of PES players hate Fifa.
The skills in fifa are star rated, with the easiest between 1 to 3 stars.
PES players are not able to keep up with the tons of animations in fifa ...therefore they quit.

So on the contrary...Fifa is a much harder game to master over PES. PES is just basic ....Pass run pass run ...shoot ....

Fifa it is a lot different ...you have skillers who take on defenders ..they create havoc for PES players ......but not for Fifa players ...do you know why?

PES is a basic arcade game....16 directions. There is not much you can do with that in any game.

This is why Fifa rules the roost.

Although, i do understand that people will have their own preferences...I find it very funny that ppl here believes that PES can compete with Fifa.

Its like Street Fighter vs Fight night Champion

I feel for a lot of the guys here ....they are doing what i did when i was playing PES .....critique a game they do not even play.

Just mention you like Fifa here and you are an immediate outkast...

Just watch them flock ...
