International Kits

The review in OPSM shows International Teams Netherlands Playing France and England Playing Spain...and England Playing Germany.. but the International kits look like the ones on PES4 :unsure:

I'm slightly disappointed that they haven't bothered to get any more licenses for PES5. Oh well, I suppose I'll have to patch my copy of PES5 (and I'm sure most people will).

By the way (a little off-topic), does anyone know if Jonboyo is working on a PES5 patch yet? Or if he's planning on doing a PES5 patch at all?

And yes, I realise PES5 hasn't come out yet.

Because unlike the dutch, spanish and Italian teams, English teams hold there own image rights, so for Konami to get every English team it would cost them mega bucks so they chose the 1st and 2nd team

Hopefully for PES 6, Konami will have gained the rights from Fifa(not the game) and everything will be licensed. Either that, or adding Coca cola Championship teams, MLS teams and J-League teams would make me forget about the licensing woes.

Definately not.. I know that when PS3 is released konami are aiming for the teams to be licensed.. if they aren't it would be a huge disappointment.. the problem is individually Konami have to negotiate with each club for the rights because EA has them under a collective deal through the FA or whatever so if konami have to do it then why don't they.. they could afford it.. the ammount of games PES series has sold and they can't afford the rights seems ludicrous!

yea exactly, the money shouldnt really be much of an issue these days. and the argument that they got arsenal and chelsea because the finished 1st and 2nd is stupid considering liverpool won the champions league and manchester united are one of the biggest clubs in the world. why not get the top 4 and not just the top 2?

I'll take better editing tools over licenses any day since they don't allow you to edit a licensed club. Why the hell do they do that anyway? I can't see any reason behind locking a licensed team.

Becoz EA hold an exclusive licensing deal with the EPL. THis deal limits other competitors to only 2 licences for EPL teams. Even if Konami wanted to they can't get any further Licences for the EPL.I'm very sure they would have loved to get Liverpool and Man Utd as well, since these teams are in fact more popular than Chelsea or Arsenal in Asia.

I guess Chelsea/Arsenal were just picked because they're the top 2 teams, and probably becoz Thierry/Terry are longtime fans of the series and are also Konami's poster boys.

We should say ''f++k you'' the EPL for tying up such a deal with EA. I'm still hopeful that the Bundesliga and Ligue1 may get licensed maybe not in time for PES5, but hopefuly for PES6.
