PES 5 New Licenses

I'm a bit dissapointed that the Man Utd kits won't be licensed but at least we can add them in using the max drive files for xbox and PS2 so it's not all bad.

Becoz EA hold an exclusive licensing deal with the EPL. THis deal limits other competitors to only 2 licences for EPL teams. Even if Konami wanted to they can't get any further Licences for the EPL.I'm very sure they would have loved to get Liverpool and Man Utd as well, since these teams are in fact more popular than Chelsea or Arsenal in Asia.

I guess Chelsea/Arsenal were just picked because they're the top 2 teams, and probably becoz Thierry/Terry are longtime fans of the series and are also Konami's poster boys.

We should say ''f++k you'' the EPL for tying up such a deal with EA. I'm still hopeful that the Bundesliga and Ligue1 may get licensed maybe not in time for PES5, but hopefuly for PES6.

no united are not licensed! only arsenal and chelsea from the premiership. this seasons united kit can be made in the editing feature however

I say: No, Arsenal and Chelsea are the only two English Teams that are licensed on PES5 if you have a Max Drive the kits will look good anyways thanks to the editing guys that work on the option files.. if you don't have a Max Drive.. .... get one..

Yeh, Celtic are Licensed any one find any pics, I would love to see them.

This is going to sound strange coming from a Man Yoo fan but.. "Why didn't Konami get licensing for the European Champions L.F.C? Chelsea and Arsenal finished 1st and 2nd in the leagues but surely winning the European Champions League is a better achievement than 2nd place and an FA Cup?"

All this talk about why Chelski and the Arse are the only EPL licensed teams, because of money issues, what about codemasters club football series, they made a game for a few EPL clubs.

Cant be that expensive.

It's prob because Thierry H. has been involved with the PES series before and is an avid fan. Hence he has surely been involved in the licensing issue.
