Wot a twat....the guys post was very concise and to the point with what he wanted to say and I and almost every PES gamer of old that I know would be inclined to agree 100% with him.

People that say PES6 is not an overly scripted flawed pile of cack, but is infact just like real football are bascially 12 year olds want to beleive they are playing real football and just that cannot accept that they are playing a very badly flawed AI system. I recommend that such people should take their head out of the Master League or games against their noob mates and try playing some of the exploiting dribblin cutbacking <ocksuckers u get on the PS2 online server......then come back here spouting about just how how REAL PES6 definitely is not!!!

Well said Mat, i couldn't agree more with what you're saying.
I figured that out when attempting to play PES5 online.
This gameplay is so Amazingly realistic, that most players always need to pick the Best/Strongest team/s and resort to that BS cutback goal most of the time.
Thats when they're not busy intentionally lagging the game, so you are unable to defend or keep posession of the ball.

Ok guys i know i am gonna get some real stick for this but here goes.I HATE PRO EVO 6.There i have said it.Dont make me feel any better but at least i have got it off my chest.Not all the problems with it are major but when all put together it just ruins the game for me.The biggest culprit is without a doubt the ability to (or actually lack of) defending.I really dont care how many new eye catching tricks r in the game if this comes at the expense of a BASIC tool such as defending.What the hell is the point of having tactics,arrows,formations etc if when the whistle blows your players just do what the hell they want.

This is a direct quote from the review of PES 6 in PLAY magazine issue 146 which sums it up better than i ever could. I make no secret of the fact that i hate losing but i aint a bad loser.If i am beaten cos my opponent is simply better than me then it spurs me on to get as good as him.Thats the way it should be.On this version though its almost as if your playing against your opponent as well as the computer.I should point out that i only ever play against my mates and never against the comp.Gone are the days when my mate could pick Arsenal and i could be my beloved West Ham.In those games Arsenal were obviously the better side but with a sound formation and tactics coupled with a solid defensive display i could still have a good chance of getting a result.Just like real football.This has always been the real strength of the PES series compared to that FIFA crap.PES has always had that feel of realism to it as opposed to the shallow eye candy of FIFA.Many of u will agree with me that flash graphics or fully licensed kits mean nothing if its at the expense of game play.

Maybe its my fault.My mates say i take it way too seriously and maybe they r right.Maybe i am a perfectionist.What they mistake for moaning though is actually passion.When all those fools were out spending their cash on FIFA i was playing ISS as was then.I have been with PES since the beggining and,like the rest of ya,have a real sense of loyalty to it.We were the few who did not join the EA bandwagon or sell our soul to that American dross.I just dont want PES to lose what made it so special.Is that so wrong?Dont let us down KONAMI.Everyone is entitled to make a mistake but dont make a habit of it.U have a chance to redeem yourself with PES7 on the PS3.DONT LET US DOWN.

I think 95% of people think this is the best game yet by far... if you dislike it so much, why do you bother trawling forums to whinge and moan so long after the game's release. Pretty much everybody i know and most people who write on this forum seem to love the game. Anybody would think you were talking about George Bush considering the amount of vitriol that's being spewed up. Critisism of people who do enjoy it being like '12 year olds', actually makes you look like the 12 year old. It's a fucking computer game. Go and play Football Manager and shut the fuck up... or go and whinge on the Football Manager site about how you've been swindled by that game as well.

PES6 is about as scripted as me finding my way home on a night out - you never know whats gonna happen.

Defending is a lot harder in this game but if your gonna blame anyone blame yourselfs, when i let a goal in i feel like crying, and its because i was good at defending in PES5, im not used to letting so many goals in, so now its PES6 its obviously different gameplay so its gonna take time getting used to it for christ sake.

Many of us think that we can just press X and its under our control again, but if you manage to get the ball off the oppostion with X most of the time you'll find the your player takes ages to get it under control, well its about timing the tackle then, if you take your time and watch thier movements then go for the challenge you will come away with the ball perfectly.

One thing that will always piss me off about this game and previous PES games is, 80% of deflections always seem to go to the oppostion team, mabye nothing can be done about this though.

earlier in pes series we were never concentrating on defending so much but in this game , first time we hav been introduced to the art of defending...

U should be positioned better & don't ever go for ball snatching that we use to do in PES^5

Understand the gameplay & then u crap ppl speak...
u don't know how to defend ,, so u ppl are simply saying pes^6 is crap .
first go & learn something..

Think if graphics were done & gameplay should hav been left as it is , then the true football & pro evo fans would hav been disappointed because we luv soccer & we want to play game that has better gameplay , so Konami moved towards right step ....

Why do people complain about the lack of licenses? for a couple of quid you can send your memory card off on ebay and someone does all the kits for you or buy the max drive and patch it. In my opinion Konami gets some players looking rather different to real life, probably because they are busy making the gameplay so real and enjoyable.
Think the starter of this post needs more practice - im glad the defending is different to pes5, or more people would complain that theres no point buying this version cause its the same as the last one.
Im loving the game.

I have played PES for many years now and I have to admit that I am still struggling to get used to PES6. I hadn't lost a single match during my last two ML seasons on PES5, but I am still waiting for my first victory. I do see improvement and I see that the game is getting more fluent every game.

I recommend those people that criticise the game to try an entire ML season on PES6 to see whether they still don't like the game at the end of the season...

I completely agree with you. If I'd decided to write a brief review of two days experience of PES6, I think it would have been exactly had the same idea of yours. Nice one here, federer.

People its all getting a bit heated in here isnt it!? Personally i love the game, i have had several teething problems but i just remember that with every good game (FM for example) the new game means that things change and you need to adapt alot of old tricks will not work anymore eg. the pull back and defending is one of the things you need to work on and have a new technique in order to be succesful. shooting is another. As with dribbling with pro 5 i had 2 get used 2 it be4 i got over the fustration thn i realised it was a change for the better rather than in pro evo 4 where you could beat a whole team with a decently skillful player, patience and practice guys n you'll soon love it

I'm sorry you don't like it but it just gets better and better the more you play it. Compared to PES5 this game is fucking great. Konami have upped the realism 10 fold - well done lads!!!

I think its great!!

The game is awesome, admitedly takes a bit of getting use to. I spent several weeks getting my arse handed to me by the cpu teams, but now!! In previous PES versions if you could score goals you would win, but this one demands you know how to defend, and any wrong foted passing or shooting instantly puninshed. However thats just the gameplay. I have the 360 version and they have stripped it to shreds, NO edit mode, NO saving replays, NO shop, NO skills training, you can't even change team names, leagues etc. This is a huge let down considering its in the PS2 version. Why have Konami done this to me!?!

Pes 6 Is The Best!

Iv read most of the threads. As for the people moaning about defending, yes its hard but thats because its different to PES5. If you cant defend then make sure you score more than the computer does. as they say attack is the best form of defense.

I admit when i first played the game i didnt like it as much as PES5 but thats because i tryed to play the game the same way as PES5. Im in my third master league season now and the goals are flowing.

Online 2v2 is the hardest level to defend against because of the boring cut back wankers, but even their cheap ways fail once u get used to playing against their style.

This is long winded i know, but my point is; If you are shit then quit moaning and play the game more so you get good. FAILING THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS GIVE THISE SLIMY TWATS AT EA YOUR HARD EARNED CASH FOR FIFA 07! Ha ha ha

EXCEPT everythings you're playing in, this is PES6 not 5,4,3 and ...so on.In fact , I like the speed of this game compare to other.More realistic !Others including we series have fast speed.Can't you think as a player running without tired.I hope for next generation of pes/we will remain at THIS SPEED.SLOW allow to build up your attacking /defending.
