I forgot to ask which season you're in, or if you're starting a new game? I would choose different players depending on that.

Have you tried Aissati? He's a great combination of skills, teamwork and you can use him all over the pitch if needed. If you need to bolster defence, try C. Zapata. He develops into a powerful and extremely fast centre- half. And if you just need offense, CY Park is great - he develops into the 90-95 range in my game, is very versatile, and combines well with his teammates.

All three should still be quite cheap in the 3rd season, unless another a big name team has snatched them up.

Let me know if you are looking for something else. Cheers

He'll have already developed (or be on the way to developing) into a world class player by the time you reach the 3rd season. :erm:

I just started my fourth season with Barcelona, and i have found a good left back.
M.Taylor is his name.
Clichy is my first man in that position but he seems to get tired very fast.
I also have Sergio Ramos, he can also play LB,RB and DMF, and i am quitte happy to have him.
My last buys in the forward line are:
Wallner, great stats, havent tried him much yet. (Rafael Sobis is my first man at CF)
And i found an left footed attacker named Castillo, great player!!
He plays SS at the right side in my team and scores goals for me from the start.

M.Taylor LB and Castillo CF,SS are great players try them out!!!!

Greetings from Holland.

vomme is actually van den borre from belgium and anderlecht,a fine player i bought him after buying him on football manager, awesome on both games.
im gonna check this matthieu guy out
shimizu,gr8 player as has already been said and some1 said his stamina is poor but i also found his body balance is weak so if he doesnt out pace sum1,rare,he just falls down
lee chun soo, continues too improve into his 30s and has a wicked freekick, pass shott and pace, but takes a bit of work to get him really good!
dagaka,fast as fcuk
kobayashi also fast as fcuk, have dagaka at rb and him at lb
heitinga well rounded player with many talents and positions
machado young brazilian average all over
camacho 17yr old attacking midfielder, work on his freekciks and has middleshoot
kompany
ewerthon fast as fcuk(try him pro evo master!)
matthew taylor of pompey should definentley have middle shoot!!!!i was going too sign that castillo from olyimpiakos since his accel and pace are 95+ his finishing is like 70+ tho,i signed obinna from roma, starts at chievo verona,he is fast and good at dribbling, shot lets him down a little but i play him just off of my cf,still as a cf,or in attacking mid

Machado is not average - for a start he develops until he's 30.

If you play him as soon as he enters the game as a 17/18 year old, then he can eventually get a whole group of 90's all across the board.

And you can throw in his physical presence aswell. ;)

What a long thread. I'll really appreciate it if someone is willing to save me the time looking through these pages by answering my simple questions.

I'm looking for a young GK for Man Utd. I'm going to use it for long term, so potential is a must. Great current ability will help a lot too!

Secondly, I'm looking for a striker to replace Saha. Again, future potential must be good. Doesnt have to be good in the air since I rarely cross the ball, speed & dribbling ability are a must.

Thanks!

Go for someone like Hartock at Lyon. I know he's not very good when you start an ML game but he has lots of growth in him. Other GKs I can think off that develop for a long time are Ustari, Fredriksson and Solimar - these are all CPU generated GKs.

Are you looking for a striker who is currently very fast and a good dribbler? Or someone who develops into a very fast and good dribbler? Obinna and Farfan are the two I'd mention for current players who are very fast and good dribblers but both are very small and their finishing ability could be better. There's also Rajika Rudea at Pampas (Riverplate) who develops into a very fast and very good dribbler and a good finisher with excellent reflexes. But he's not that good when you first start an ML game though.

It depends on whether you're willing to develop a player for more than 5 years or whether you want a quick developing player who's got average ability at the beginning of the ML. I tend to go
for the former. ;)

EDIT: If you're playing with Man Utd, then why aren't you playing Alan Smith? He turns into one of the best strikers in the ML.

Actually, Oscar Ustari isn't cpu or konami generated. He's a great keeper though. ;)

Yohann Pelé is a great keeper, I recommend him.

As for a striker, If I were you, I'd go with either Villa, or if you can't get him Vagner Love
