For some reason, i find myself playing PES2010 for a bit, enjoying it and then getting very frustrated with the niggles and throw it away for a few days.
Then i go back, every time...hoping it might have changed! It never gets better though
The fact is, the gameplay is clearly addictive enough for me to keep going back but i dont enjoy it when i play it. Theres clearly much room for improvement and i literally CANNOT wait for PES2011. This revamp is making all hot under the collar

Nah its unplayable online this year due to the lag so maybe thats why your not scared. You can calll it an excuse If you want I'd rather spare myself the waste of time making a retard believe he is actually better than me when the lag blatently interferes with controlling your players to the point where they dont react at all. I like how you assume that I play as Real or Barca when I dont even support those teams and have never ever played with them on the pes series. I use to play in official tornaments and am a expert at the game so know for a fact only a few rare individuals could beat me in a proper normal game that means no crippling online lag. You obviously find this game satisfying and challenging hence the belief its perfect, when the real pro's of the game find it simplistic and too easy at best. That doesnt mean we want it harder by having to go on online and be criippled by the functioning of the reaction times of the game through the lag when you cannot control the players through no fault of your own leading to muppets believing they have the upper hand.

lol Go easy on him this is probably the first pes he has played in his little life so probaby doesnt know any better, its not his fault. He's propably the type who gets a huge spasmodic kick/rush out of scoring long rangers thinking he's special and then dribbles on his clothes. let him enjoy it and think its perfect. There are far more intelligent gamers still around to know and see the difference between a good football game simulation and what is a parody of real life football as what this years version of PES clearly is. And his opinion wont have any effect in the grand scheme of things.

People stating that PES 6 was the best need to stop eating mushrooms. In these early games you could dribble around the penalty area for ages and score easy goals.
This is not possible for the first time in pes2010. If you play the game on xbox and a pc monitor 1280x1080, widescreen and standard as reference level. With the DLC updates then the game is very good.
But playing as a big team obviously is no great challenge.

OK, it looks people are mostly agreeing with the thing that game has many annoyances, but anyway I'm also playing it and will continue playing it but I just cant help myself to try to explain Kefir why he's NOT right.
Maybe for you the game is good but it certainly isn't perfect, at least not if playing BAL mode, and if you still believe in this than all I can say is that you DON'T understand football and DON'T understand it's logic and probably NEVER played or trained any form of football game. Also you have problem sticking to your belief even nobody shares your opinion, so I'll sum up everything to prove you the game in overall isn't any better than those before.
MAJOR STEP-BACKS OF PES 2010:
- Worst criteria for deciding when it's foul and when it's card and which one, with every year this part of game gets worse and worse, I'm afraid to assume what is there for us next year. TOTAL FAILURE!!!!!
- Worst PES concerning penalties and executing them. First of all there simply are no penalties. Saw only one in 6 seasons that I have played for now. And yesterday I played UEFA League and the game went to penalties. I've lost 3:2, all those goals were scored with players that were shooting in the middle of the goal, all the other players (5 of them) attempted to shoot left or right and missed goal by 3-4 meters. Then I went to training and played penalties with Real Madrid, same thing happened, Ronaldo and Kaka couldn't hit a target if they tried to shoot left or right (controlled by AI not me). Also I tried to shoot penalties by myself. First of all there is no camera that it used to exist when shooting penalties that is right behind you instead I had to set player camera from BAL mode. I also couldn't hit a target with Ronaldo when shooting right or left, and because of camera I also couldn't hit penalty high left or high right, just could shoot ground shoots? WHAT'S WITH THIS, BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Worst PES concerning red cars, same as penalties, saw only one in my 6 year BAL mode career. Not to mention it's almost 100% impossible to get 2 yellow cards by same player, and once again I'm talking about players that are AI controlled, not by me.

- You say that in previous PES games you could dribble around box as long as you want and now that's impossible, but now you simply don't need to dribble, you just need attacker of 80+ speed and acceleration and just run between 2 defenders, well I preferred dribbling part much more than this idiotness.
- Maybe not worst PES but close to that when talking about defenders, they act like 12 year old kids in pre-puberty trying to tackle Ibrahimovic, if you try to tackle by pressing X they just stick their leg like they're gonna lose it and either get dribbled, either take the ball but just for second, or they let pass through their legs, especially right and left backs are hilarious.
- Worst PES concerning dribbling, and I'm talking about dribbling just with arrows (changing direction), as this PES doesn't allow you to change direction by 90 degrees quicky and you usually lose the ball no matter your skills, I liked better PES 2009 with this issue, now you simply need fast attackers and you get sooooooo big advantage comparing other teams.
- Worst PES concerning results and points. I won the Serie A and the second team on table was Chievo with only 64 points, results in other games than mine are always high scoring and I never saw 0:0 result. Team in Premiership won league with 74 points and 9 losses although in REL FOOTBALL no one has ever won Premiership with more than 6 losses. In France and Netherland (in my game it's Germany 'cos I downloaded the patch) team that won the league had less than 64 points.
ALL OTHER PROBLEMS THEY STILL DIDN'T FIX
- Ratings system, still not working at all, I already explained this, also I believe it used to work in earlier PES games but there was no BAL mode so I didn't care.
- In one PES there was this thing that if you make a foul but the game continues you would get card as soon as the game stops, now you can kill the player that just passed the ball and nothing would happen.
- When you make through pass to a player he will ALWAYS perform slide shoot or if the ball is bouncing it will perform diving header (and miss of course) although he has all the time in the world to perform normal shoot and score the goal easily. This worked in PES 2008.
- Sometimes the ball is going out of play and you see your co-player running at it and you know that he will touch it before it crosses the line and the ball will be for opposition, SO FRUSTRATING AND YOU CAN'T DO SHIT ABOUT IT. This worked in PES 2006 or PES 2007.
- There was one PES where midfielders would do professional fouls and that worked good although they just needed to fix it so they would get card for that instead they just removed this thing. Also there was one good thing with injured player on field and the opposition would kick the ball in throw-in, this was good and they also removed this thing.
- Players are still TOO GOOD when performing header shoots, even from the edge of the box, this has nothing to do with real football
- Keepers conceding goals from impossible angles through their legs or they save but it bounces into the net.
- Wingers never performed and they sill don't perform realistically, it's obvious that this position and defenders are acting differently than any other player on the pitch and they have major problems trying to find acceptable solution and thy never found it.
- No realistic pressing tactics whatsoever.
- No counter-attack logic whatsoever, player with the ball going all alone and will not pass to open player, not eve when 2 on keeper.
There are many more things I could write but I have to go now, yes Konami fixed some things, one-on-ones, keeper coming of their line for the ball, introduced real Champions League and UEFA Europa League, most realistic tempo of the game, some movements improved but hey, how long did we have wait for these improvements, I still have feeling like I'm getting same game every year only with updated clubs and players with slightly different criteria of the game and better graphics that I don't care of.
So if these things can't convince you that the game is anything else than perfect than I withdraw from any other debate with you 'cos it simply doesn't make sense.

btw, you need to summarise your problems. if there is a problem with the keepers, just say 'animations need to be improved and they need to be able to handle the ball better', not a life story of the keeper and why he became so rubbish, yet he still made it too professional level.

hmm i dont wanna sound rude but you sound like a noob they guy with the long post.
There are flaws in pes i agree with the fouls {the ref doesnt give pen} i have had red cards given tothe AI and i get fouled alot so the only problem i really see is in the box but that is noted.
some of the things that are posted you can solve yourself by being a better user.....
You gave a example of the ball is going out and one of your players touches the ball giving theb all to the enemy. BUt all you have to do is hit SUPER CANCEL andtake the guy awy from the ball simple easy, i do it all the time.
The problems you have with thru balls i dont have because i use SUPER CANCEL {not yelling at you jsut stressing how important it is} so i can run onto the ball at any angle i want .
LOng shots are fine and if you want to volley a ball instead of head the ball you have to time when you hit shoot if you hit it ealry he will usually head the ball if you wait longer and position yourself right youll get different animations maybe a bicycle kick or something. It alldepends when you hit shoot the position of the ball and your position on the field....and the skill of the player.
ahh wait i see your playing BAL mode so yeah you cant user the other players on the field... AND that is why i dont play BAL mode because you cant user the other players and the AI is not good enough to play a good BAL match{ you cant even change the attck levels or strat}that is why i stick to master league and playing friends BAL sounds good but without great AI it aint going to work. PLus when you lose a game it will always be the AI's fault you feel me?
Super cancel is your freind it can help in bal mode also esp recieving passes and shooting.
ohh also not being able to turn 90 degreess on a dime is a very good things NOBODY can turn like that running or even jogging i like the momentum in pes 2010 the best pes in a long time IMHO.
