hi dec i been playing quite a bit on this update and have to say well done, plus i have a few requests
1) Fix the controller button symbols you have the y symbol from the xbox control pad while the main pad is the ps pad. so th esymbols need changing.

2) can you have a new pack which includes your ball patch and other various goodies have it as a seperate download for users who want to patch there own ball and stadium crowd packs etc.

3)i can see the sky sports thing flash past my screen but could you change the timer and team bits to resemble the sky sports layout or even the bbc's own layout.

Just a few suggestions mate much love from london england.

Hi mate, firstly thanks for choosing this patch and noting some of the flaws within this patch, but I wouldnt be able to create/add anything extra for the patch right now (unless it's a minor alteration) as I am in my final year of Uni. You would probaly have to wait til the summer for any significant changes.

And I'll explain the situation with each point.

1) If you are refering to the buttons on the interface, then I can't really do much as I don't know which .bin file the data is stored in.
But the more important ones have been replaced (replay interface and button configuration)

2) Yes, I would probaly compile all of my patches together on a seperate download link after my final semester this year.
But I don't use most of the patches out there, such as boots, faces, crowd, chants, turfs, and stadiums. So I would only compile what I have got patched on my version since this was originally uploaded so I can download my own stuff straight away if my PES files corrupts.

3) I created the SkySports replay logo way before a known technique was found to alter the scoreboards at the time I uploaded this.
I was in the middle of making a BBC Scoreboard which works perfectly, but a bug ocours once a team's score reaches double figures and I have no clue how to correct it. But again, I'll give it another go once I uni is over for me.

The only thing I can upload for you guys right now is my scoreboard, but like I explained earlier that a bug occours when a team scores 10+ goals where that team's score figures becomes out position.
But I may still upload it since I guess the scorelines stays single figures more often than not.

The second Option File wasn't done by me, it was created by another member since I am too busy to create one.
Plus, I haven't tested the file out myself yet.

Hi all, since I don't have time to make an update of this file, I'll post some quick instructions if you would like to take on the updates yourself.

Firstly, here are the January 2008 Transfers:

Prem League:
http://www.skysports.com/football/transfers/0,20367,11660,00.html

and

Championship:
http://www.skysports.com/football/transfers/0,20367,11687,00.html

To transfer a player from one team to the other, you'd simply go to EDIT mode and select EDIT Teams, then select Register Player. Select the player you want to transfer from the team he is currently in. Once selected, choose the team you want to transfer him to. If the team he is tranfered to does not exist in the game, simply press square (if you are using PS2 Controller plug-in, or "Y" if you are using a xbox controller) to remove the player from the team.
If you want to find the deleted player in a later time, then you can find him in: OTHERS > UnBelonging

If the players you want does not exist in the game, then you would have to create them yourself, you would have to use the original PES players:
eg. Player K21, Player A11, etc - There should be quite a few left, you can look for them in EDIT Mode, you have to go to Edit Player (NOT "Create Player"). You now press :Square: (If you are using a PS2 Controller plug-in) to activate the Search Option. On the Category scroll down menu, select Others. For the Player Name, you type "Player", then hit the Seach button, the remaining default PES players would be shown. Select any random player you want to edit.

The stats can be made up entirely from your own knowledge, or preferably you can convert the stats from the game; Football Manager 08 (or 07) - you would need a tool called Verter which could be found here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/70212840/Verter.zip.html
...this only convert stats for outfield players, for converting Goal-Keepers, use Ortegaz - which can be found here:
http://fmtopes.free.fr/
Alternatively, you can request wan109 or Lucifer to convert the stats for you on this thread:
http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=54693
...but make sure that the player you're enquiring about has not been requested yet (use the search option), and be sure to rep the person who converted the stats for you afterwards. ;)

I'm afraid that the appeearance of the players has to be built from your own memory.
You can try looking for the players appearance on this thread:
http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=55153
...but their is a fair chance your desired player may not be on the list.
There are other sites that has players' appearance lists, but I don't remember any other links, I'll let you know if I find any.

Hope this bit info helps you.
And if anyone is prepared to try this, please share with us.

Good Luck.

Does anyone know where you can get a option file like this for the ps3?

Sorry, a patch like this for the PS3 version is not (yet) possible.

cv_0.img is a file already on your harddrive when you first installed the game.

cv_0.avp is a patch file you have to load to patch the cv_0.img.

Plus, judging from your post, it seems as though you have yet to see the Picture-Tutorial on how to install this patch.
You can find it on the very first post of this thread, just scroll down abit.

If you have any more troubles, please come back

Sorry forgot to actually tell you where the file is actually stored in my previous post.

You can find cv_0.img along with the other .img files in the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 directory, which can be found here:

C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\img

The path may be different on Vista (not certain).

Also, remember to backup your .img files.
However, even if you do mess up the files, you can always extract them from your original game DVD or ISO file.

Fantastic Patch BTW!!!!

Have you have any other patches installed?...since these changes are stored inside one of the image slots of the scoreboard .bin files and I did not include any scoreboard alterations.

Another possibility is that some files may have been corrupted during the patching proccess and if this is the case, I'd recommend you to re-download the patch files and use fresh .img files which can be found in your game DVD or ISO file.

If the problem persists, please come back.

Mate there is no Cv_0.img files located anywhere on my PC that i can see. I have cv_0.afp files but they are from the patch download, I've got the game installed so where would the cv_0.img files be ?. Other people have it installed on Vista so they have to be there somewhere.

I told you in my last post mate, i went onto my documents, then opened the KONAMI folder, then opened the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 folder, and all that is inside it is a folder called "saves" with nothing but .bin files inside it.

Please someone help

I did not say that cv_0.img is located in the My Documents folder, it should be stored in your Applications (Program Files) directory.

Like I said in my previous post that it was stored in:
C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\img
...not My Documents

...and I also said the directory may be abit different if you are running the Vista OS.
If that is the case, you could always use the Search tool to scan your hard drive. But first, enable your explorer to reveal known file extensions, then search for cv_0.img and the file should be located.

This should help, but if you still can't find it, please come back.

EDIT: Just found out that in Vista, the cv_0.img and other .img files are located in the exact same directory, so copy and paste the directory I have listed above onto your explorer and you should be able to find it.

Let me know how it goes.

Sorry, I have not seen or heard a problem like this before.

I am not certain, but you may have to install Microsoft .NET Framework.

If that doesn't work, try asking in the PC Troubleshooting thread which could be found here:
http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=53764

EDIT: Download Links...

.NET Framework 1.1:

.NET Framework 2.0:

Please come back and ket me know how this goes.
