I have noticed this in my master league as well with almost every opposition team I play - it seems that because the creators of the patch are Liverpool fans they think that every crowd should sing the 'never walk alone' song - it does get really annoying during long master league sessions.

True. It's getting a bit tedious now.

Still, great patch in general, well apart from the terrible euro pop, but I'll get around to chaning that to something decent.

Yeah, I was going to change the music aswell sometime soon.

I was planning on posting up a guide here aswell.

"something this" doesn't help. Either post the names of all the files or take a screenshot.

I have used this patch and applied everything until WM2006_ 241205 and it works fine. But trying to make a CDrip of it did not work.

Ok, I made Cd with option file, and it's work. But I want a patch:)
I have all of the parts, I've extracted to the PES 5 file. I have made image Nero, than I applied PPF O MATIC 3.0, after few minutes I burn it image DVD Decryptor, after this (it doesn't work) Alcohol, and Nero. All of this option Image + PPF don't work.

That'd be good, I've looked at a few music editing guides and they all put me off, I'm sure it's nice and easy once you get going, I think it's the looping thing and the fact it takes ages to insert all the tracks that's putting me off. One day I'll stop being so lazy.

I'm patched all files to ISO and write. But don't work. Insert dvd to ps2 and open, but only black screen...

Yes, i have original copy.
Make a ISO file with DVD Decrypter and write again (unpatched), it's working. But patched version is not working.

I have just like you. I wrote unpatched and it's work. Maybe we should download patch once more, but I think it won't work...

Then you're not patching it properly.

Did you extract the patch properly?

The first 5 parts of this patch are supposed to be extracted together as one RAR file. This should then give you two PPF files. One that's around 1 Gb+, the other PPF file is around 200 mb+.

That should then set you on your way.

Extract first 5 parts (TEAM_PES-X_PPF_1.ppf and TEAM_PES-X_PPF_2.ppf)
Open ppf-o-matic; select ISO file, select ...1.ppf file, apply, waiting (appro. 10 mins).
After select again ISO file, select second ...2.ppf file, apply, waiting (5-10 sec.)
and other ppf files (fix, update, update_fix...)
Wrote 2.4x (my dvd-writer minimum speed).

Is it faulty process?

You must select (when you burn dvd) mds file, wich was creat with iso. I burnt with 2 x speed...But it doesn't work for this moment:|

Well, it seems you're doing everything correctly.

What program are you using for burning onto DVD? And what media?

Note that you must use DVD Decrypter to write the patched image to DVD-ROM. And I would use DVD-R not DVD+R as there are some known problems with DVD+R discs and PS2s.

Why must these patches change the songs and menus etc?

A small plug such as a watermark on the main menu stating it's creator would be ok.

By changing the songs and stuff you create more work and cause more problems won't it?

I'm happy enough with kits and names changed.

I sure wish there is a patch like jonboyo's around.

But till then I'll just stick to the option file.

I suppose the patch maker has every right to put in their own music. I mean, after all; it is their patch.

Damn right! I wish Jonboyo would reconsider his retirement from PES patching.

He made some excellent patches. The best available (for PES games on the PS2) in my opinion.

I want to know which option file is the best for this patch?

THanks
I think it's the option file that comes with the patch. Someone should probably mirror it in a new thread in the Option Files section.

Delete the ISO you have on your PC and rip a new clean one from your original and then apply the patches to it in the right order as stated in the first post. How many of the updates are you applying? I did all of them a couple of days ago and it worked fine. Make sure no other programs are running when you are doing any of the ripping/patching/burning as they might be affecting the process.

What is the best patch

I have been lookin at this forum since the day pro evolution 5 was released. I patched Wemerica V1 but was not satisfied. Can anyone please give me a recommendation as to which patch is the best out of all the ones that are currently available.

Thanx

This patch is supposedly the best one out there for PES5 on the PS2.

I haven't tried the WEmerica patch but I bet this one is better.

But be warned though, there are some big glaring mistakes in this patch.

I have patched WEmerica Patch, Generally very good but the position initials are messed up. E.g a centre foward (CF) has beeen changed to AV WTF. dats only main problem. the boots are good but they have no f50s and about 5 teams av errors on their kits. Missing Backround when doing some leagues.Does PPf Patch have bigger problems?

Generally, PPF patches are easier to apply then DKZ patches.

As far as I know, there are less known problems with PPF patches.
