Pes6 for PC is a pathetic update

I've just installed the game but haven't played it yet, however...

Given the history of each 'evolution' I expect the gameplay to seem similar to start but then over time the new features will become more and more apparent until suddenly there's a click somewhere in the brainbox and you realise ...yes this is a different game after all.

As for the graphics...I'll be looking for the tool I had for 5 which allowed one to change the quality of the game at different zoom levels...so you can set the detail level at normal zoomed out play to be the same as it is when zomed right in ( gfx card willing, that is)! I found this to be a great tool last year and hope it'll either work straight away with 6 or it'll be updated soonest.

As for names, licenses, incorrect transfers, etc. It's nothing new, but we know the patches/options/mods/etc will be imminent. Fur us PC users it's got to be a lot easier than for the 'consolers' to make sweeping changes and tweak the game to our own liking.

I fully expect to enjoy pes6 immensely...and to be soundly trounced online as usual for me!

One request please...if you must let your GF play to keep her happy...keep it to yourself please. It's too demoralising to be down 3-0 at half time and be told "I was just letting my GF play the first half to show her the game. I'll be playing the second half myself"!

there are less difference between 5 and 6 than between 4 and 5,but the game is progressing,indeed.shooting to the sky just before the aim was a boring feature to me until i saw Roscky's genious play in the champions league.SO,we have to find the optimistic features of the game rather than complain about all the changes.

Anyway... I'm finding PES6's gameplay good enough... My problem ISN'T the gamaplay! It's... the pathetic graphics! PES was famous for the graphics... Now what? Except the 3D models/skins of the players, the pitch is awfull, the nets like they're made by wires, the resolution of the official teams' kits sucks, the fans' map-skin-model is the MOST CRAP I ever saw in the last 5 years...

...And FIFA's users are complaining about the FIFA's graphics! Ha! Let them see PES6's graphics!

well its hard not to complain when the best soccer game has become a mediocre game.
I don't understand people who wants a better graphics when the game play is pure crap, are some here in denial!?
The cheating of the CPU continues... they are faster that you no matter what their stats say.
The defensive part of gameplay is still pure crap, I chased a guy from mid pitch to our goal where he just kept my player behind him, my player just kept stumbling behind him he didnt catch up... when its other way around the CPU catches up in no time no matter how fast your player is.

Each time you knock the ball from the CPU it bounces to another CPU!!

You shoot 4550 m high when infront of goal, there should be a default shooting where you don't have to aim that much & get a decent shot without having to put it 1000 m wide or high. Etoo shot 2m wide when being 4m infront of goal with only keeper.. & I just pressed shot button with no direction.... Jesus

Whats up with all the gliding? when did players in real life glide 1 m before they made a direction change or maybe changing angle!? IT DRIVES ME Crazy!!! Its pure crap. what the hell you should be able to have more controll over some direction change etc without having to glide & loose the ball.

The passsing goes so slow most of the times that the CPU catches up with the ball or player...Also CPU is somehow always 10 men behind like a meat wall & then suddenly 7-8 in attack. when my AI players keep walking about.

The game is on the whole marketed towards a predominantly male, younger generation.
Who would choose to listen to this online music by choice? The elderly? The Insane? The Deaf? I heard that afghan elevators would not even entertain the idea of playing those tunes anymore.
I realise Konami are limited, they can not get the big names that EA Sports can afford, but surely there must be an alternative?

Why are you all suprised? When has PES EVER had a good soundtrack?

Doesn't bother me though. The gameplay is fantastic and feels a lot more like football than PES5. Also they've made lots of changes which you might not notice but are there and are contributing immensely to the enjoyability of the game.

Yes it has bad music, yes it's not a massive departure from the last game overall, but jesus christ; if the music's that bad then just turn it off. Last time I checked I wasn't buying this game so I could sit on the menu screen listening to music.

there is a reason we're playing Pro Evolution Soccer and not Pro Revolution Soccer. The series is about continual evolution. Did you expect an all new gameplay??

There are some things that I have no idea why they have changed.

Why have they removed every German team, Bayern excluded?

The shooting has IMO been made really bad. Basically you dont have to fill your shoot-o-meeter more than 1 cm to see your player blast way over. You have to use th R2-shot almost everytime. That just sucks.

The player-change has been altered. Now the player you control changes as soon as your opponent passes the ball. You instantly control the player, where the pass is directed at. This is frustrating when you try to cut out the pass with a sliding tackle. What happens is that your opponent easily can take the pass past you, as your player is lying down, when he receives the pass. Stupid change....

But as with all other games in the series I expect to get used to it and appreciate it in time...

I really don't see why everyone complains about the shooting, cos personally, i've been hitting gorgeous drives, long range screamers. I very rarely blast over unless i'm being fouled. I already scored like, 22 saved replays with a good mixture of players, even scored an edge of the box volley with Evander Sno for Celtic, an absolute peach

i find shooting a lot better in this verison, as you seem to be able to change the direction of the shot much more reliably. you do have to work to get into decent shooting positions (i.e. facing the goal with most players, unless it's someone with high stats and the "scoring" star), but as dribbling has been made easier this isn't that hard. however, it now seems a bit too easy to fool the cpu with a quick 180 degree turn, evoking memories of pes 2.

the player change annoys me though. i thought semi-fixed would be a solution but even with the best will in the world there are still times when you won't be quick enough pressing L1 and the cpu will perform an action for you, which is very annoying and makes you feel like you're cheating.

BTW - my lads (from Greece), in the "www.wehallas.tk", are lost their sleep in this past weekend and GAVE us a "pre-production" OF, with the REAL names of ALL clubs/teams/players/stadiums, ball & boots, REAL stats (got import from FM2007) and they gave us the NEW kitserver with quite accurate (90%) teams' kits ("LFC" has the REAL ones, EXCEPT the golden "5 star" logo on the right chest), with updated pitch, camera ungle, "TV channels" logos on the right-up side of the screen, some faces (they working the faces to complete them)... and so!

I found it (PES6), FAR BETTER now... Of course, the REAL PATCH, is still been working to get finished... Don't know when...

The problem is... that this site ("www.wehellas.tk") is in GREEK! No English language support...

PES^6 is very good in terms of gameplay .
no doubts .
at least 10 times better than PES^5.
but we think of reality which is not possible to attain in a game.

Some ppl are criticising it very badly , i don't like that completely , it's a huge improvement.

I have to agree I am afraid.

It is great that the gameplay is better, but that doesn't cover for the fact that it has gone baclwards in other respects.

It has all been listed in the firts post.

And why oh why waist time on giving us the stupid ostrich and other costumes where they could have used the time to add more real stuff like maybe a new stadium and more types of balls.

But no.

I really sometimes think that developers and the [ublishers think we are mindless idiots.

Oh well.
