so because there is no edit kit mode. Does this mean even if I get an XSATA there will be no option files to download anyway?
If so, Konami wont be receiving any money from me this year.

I think the best thing to do is just wait until the game is officially released and see what the final verdict is then. Case in point: IGN.com reviewed NHL 07 two days before it was to hit the shelves. They gave it a low score because of bad defensive ai, slowdowns and no edit mode, no create-a-team and no create-a-player. I was worried, but had the game preordered anyway. I get home and pop it in... the second menu in and there is a create-a-player menu. Exploring the menus for about 30 seconds and I discovered that there was also a full edit feature as well where you could edit sticks, stats and jersey numbers, etc. IGN is a highly respected gaming site and they got it wrong in their review 2 days before the game was released... yet we're supposed to believe some random person on a forum 2 weeks before release? The best thing to do is sit tight, don't jump to conclusions and just wait until the final version is released. :)

Oh and I don't buy the whole Sony+Konami against Microsoft theory. Mainly because lots of people went out and bought 360's so they could play next gen Pro Evo. If Sony is really trying to hurt Microsoft, they shot themselves in the foot with that one.

Does it really matter about the edit mode? all I would care about really is getting the team names right as they can be confusing, the gamepley and xbox live will make up for no editing and the game will still feel like pro evo to play!

you wankers go join a fifa forum....PES will always be the best football sim....as someone very wise mentioned earlier its the gameplay that wins it not the looks. And if FIFA have to rsort to copying PES inconspiciously so be it.

Yes PES will always be the best football sim, But this time we HAVE gone backwards. The people like myself that falked out for a next gen machine have a right to be peeved that we get a half assed version of the greatest game on the planet. Now I have to go buy my PS2 off my mate again ;)

Konami should donate PS2's to all those with a Xbox 360

These Konami morons let a lot of people down with this semi-game, they lack respect for their loyal fans.

Glad I'm a ps2 man now

I've got a 360 and a PS2, keep swaying between which game to buy aswell, but i've decided that seeing as though i forked out 300 quid for it, i'll get it on the 360 and have the next gen experience.

I have both as well, may get the PS2 version if the Edit Mode thing is true but if the PS2 and 360 are the same I may as well get it for 360 because of the graphics...actually the PS2 controls :erm:

HELP!!!

No edit mode doesnt bother me all that much. I will get it on 360 with ease, superior graphics and xbox live where I can hammer all challengers. Most of my PEs time is online anyway so I am not overly fussed.

Thats where i tend to spend most of my PES time aswell. I've never played games online before so i'm looking forward to seeing what PES6 is like.

PES5 was class online and I'm sure 6 will be smoothed out and improved. I just wwish they put leagues on there for you and mates to compete in.

I know yeah, kinda like what FIFA have done with the Premiership online league feature.....very cool indeed, shame Konami haven't brought something like this to PES6.

Konami just seem to be making enemies at the moment and it seems pointless when they can do so much more.

True, but they've now gone as far as they can with the PS2 version and have now taken on the next gen challenge. PES6 on the 360 is just the first stepping stone to what will be a truly breathtaking series of games on the next gen consoles. PES7 will be exactly the same game on both the 360 and PS2, anyone who says different is taking through their arse.
