PES6 for the 360

In a recent interview with Seabass he said there would be limited edit mode. He also said they hadn't time to do many stadiums on the 360. Its a bit more than rumour.

iam still getting the game for the 360 although iam very apprehensive. seabass's comments really angered me when he said the game would be good next year, if that comment was meant to be encouraging then he is sadly mistaken. i have heard rumours that the edit mode will be the same but you wont be able to edit players stats. And a number of people have said the game is fantastic, KEEP UP HOPE.

I’ll get the 360 version. I couldn’t care less if the rumours about the 8 stadiums and no depth in the edit mode are true or not. Obviously I am disappointed but it will in no way stop me from buying it.

Check out these new videos.

jamez, I reckon you'll end up getting it despite how you feel at present.

I was going to get it for the 360 but i honestly don't think i'll bother now. To me FIFA 07 looks the better prospect on the 360, and i never thought i would hear myself say that.

I'll get PES6 for the PS2 though. I still need my fix.

Really? :( I thought that was just a false rumour. I was thinking to get PES6 for my Xbox, then wait for PS3 to get PES7. But the PS3 will probably be over £300 when PES7 comes out, if some of the reports are true about PS3 release dates.

PS3 is being priced at about £450 upon release, so I can't see it dropping £150 when a huge game like PES7 is getting released. Plus, unlike 360, only the premium version will be available in the UK, so there's no choice but to pay top dollar.

The way I look at PES 6 on the 360 is that it is a completely new game, regardless of its release for other systems. It'll be more like PES 1 and 2 for all the peripheral things like editing, stadiums, game modes and teams simply because they have started from scratch. I remember playing at a handful of stadiums in the very first Pro Ev and I didn't give a rat's.

As for all these rumours people have been peddling that the PS3 graphics will be twice as better, that is completely rubbish. The difference will be no greater than the difference between PS2 and XBox.

I do, however, think that the PS2 controller rooted into my brain as the ideal controller for Pro Ev, simply because I've always played it on the PS2. I've played it on the Xbox once, and it wasn't bad, however it was strange to use the analogue stick as opposed to the D-Pad. And the shoulder buttons weren't quite as useful.

If you're minted, you should wait for the PS3 version of PES7, however I can't afford it so it'll either be 360 or PS2. And it's definitely PS2 for this one.

I for one will be getting her for the 360 and will enjoy it very much so. Thank you.

P.S. To you lot who are saying you'll stick with the PS2 version, you know you'll come crawling back. By this time, I'll already be top of the PESinsight table :)

PES6 on the 360 may not have all the Editing features included this year but Seabass has guaranteed that it will have everything in PES7.....so don't expect any major differences between the 360 and PS3 versions next year guys.

I have an NTCS 360. Does anyone know if I can play the PAL version on my xbox. Will there be an NTSC version coming out soon?

I can guarantee you that there will be some huge problem with logging on due to so many ppl playing or just huge lag boys! there always is when you got new games like that going on new consoles! Trust wait for the PS3 because there will be....

a) More Licences

b) More Improvements On Gameplay (ie any bugs that appeared on 360 konami would have fixed)

c) Twice as good graphics

d) The Playstation controller! ( YOU ALL KNOW THIS IS THE BETTER CONTROLLER TO PLAY PRO ON)

e) I believe that the XBOX360 graphics (and its been said by others) look too 'plasticy' and too shiny whilst it looks a decent game i really dont believe the gulf between the 360 and PS2 versions is worth all the difference in money it would cost to get the 360 and then the game as opposed to just buying the ps2 game. Would rather wait 7 months... save up more money, get the better console which will have better graphics and better games and have all the above and spend around the same amount if not a little more.

SONY FANBOY ALERT!

a) Same amount of licenses as you will find on any other format.

b) Again, same game, same bug fixes, all formats.

c) I've already proved to you in the PS2/360 graphics thread that if any console has a graphical edge, its actually the 360. They will no doubt look near enough identical anyway.

d) That's not necessarily true. If you're an analogue junkie like me, it feels pretty much the same after the initial setting in period. The 360 d-pad does suck balls tho. You get half a mark for that one.

e) How you can query spending extra money on a next-gen console (especially when the thread is for those who already own both consoles) and then say you should instead wait 7 months and pay EVEN MORE MONEY for a console that will have precisely the same games on it anyway?

Take off those Sony specs. It's obvious hurting your eyesight and powers of observation.

I will be getting the 360 version. 2 reasons really. Firstly, my PS2 is pretty much dead. Secondly, whilst I enjoy the edit mode, it is not the be-all and end-all of the game. The gameplay will be there still and in abundance. Plus playing on Live. WOO!

Ill be honest with you this forum is filled with fanboys. In business terms it makes no sense for Konami to make a better game for the PS3 then the 360. Both games will be near identical bar the controls. PS3 is not some super uber powerfull machine compared to the 360, thus the games will be near identical.

I will be getting the 360 version, i hope they do release new pads, if not there are plenty of unofficial ones which have decent d pads. If the edit mode and the stadium functions are that poor I will get the PS2 version too. £30 no biggy, or just dload the PC game.

One more thing in the "console wars" these days there are very few if any exclusive titles, thus very little to diffrentiate between the 360 and PS3. Also considering the high production value of games these days, mean it is unlikely we will see a diffrent version of the same game on each format.

I will get a PS3 once the price reduces, but im more then happy to spend a little extra for next gen now rather then wait another year.

The PS2 pad is ideal for Pro evo no doubt, i suggest for the cash strapped buy the 360 version play it for a week, return it and get the PS2 version from game XD

That sounds like a plan, if i'm cash strapped i'll buy a game for my 360 then return it a week later and buy the game on a lesser console! cos that sure makes sense
Any pes fan who is at a high level of playin the game (i.e plays the game on 6 stars and still wins easy, plays in tournaments) will want the 360 version as the online is much better than ps2 as microsoft have really nailed xbox live down this time and have fixed all bugs from the first xbox version. I own both a ps2 and xbox 360 and i'm defo gettin it for 360 as it'll play alot smoother both offline and online and i'd be very dumb to buy it for my ps2 purely cos it has a better edit mode.

by the way, nice first post FAN BOY!!

It was a awesome first post yes. Personally i agree with you, but for those who have their fun in the edit mode its an idea. I probarly wont get the PS2 or PC version untill theres an option file out. Has anyone figured out a way to transfer option files onto the 360 yet? If so how?

My main worry for the 360 version is the controller the dpad is just shite, i dusted of my ps2 for pes5 after getting rid of my xbox.

I agree, there are some inexplicable Playstation fanboys out there. I personally bought the 360 mainly for Elder Scrolls IV. Having played PES on Playstation 2 since the first one for the console, there is a comfort attached to it. I'm not saying I couldn't make the switch, I just feel that if there is a choice between the two (and one choice is £10 cheaper) then I'll go with the more familiar one before blowing that much money on a 360 game. I've never been a Sony fan boy, I'm an XBox convert to be quite honest, but I do think, having played PES 5 for XBox and Playstation 2, the PS2 is the better gaming machine.

That being said, I'm not even considering blowing £450 on a PS3, the thought hasn't even entered my brain in any form. When I saw Assassin's Creed screens, my head turned, but it's being released for 360 too, so no PS3 for me until the price drops dramatically.

But you are 100% right, mate, there are too many fan boys. Loyalty doesn't enter computer games for me, it's all about enjoyment, not fraternity.
