PES ADDICT 117

I agree. My money is on the fact that financial requests were made. It is such a bold move to just dump the bundesliga barring 1 team. I figure they held Konami to ransom and Konami were like, "ah we don't need ya anyway..." I am surprised they did not put teams like Schalke, Leverkusen, Borussia or even Werder in the other leagues section though... :shocking:

I wonder if Konami were offered a bung...

To be fair i think i would still buy the game if the prem wasnt included, cause you can always overwrite some rubbish teams and make your favourite english teams.

Same here mate.

The ML in PES6 is gonna really miss some of them German sides, especially the likes Werder Bremen, Stuttgart, Schalke 04, Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and my favourite German side.....Hamurger SV. 7 very good teams there that will be missed when it comes to sorting the Master League setup.

I hope the new Master League excels in both longevity and new features. It is the PES bread and butter to me. I would like to see more negotiation features, training options and youth development. The reviews seem to leave this out as the early code of the game seems to lack a deep master league. No doubt the bundesliga getting eliminated is a big out. So, to soften the blow we need a few new features. I would defo still buy PES with no prem though. DEFO. The game is TOO big.

If the ML has more features added to it, i'm sure we would of heard about it by now. I think its just gonna be the same as last year.......hope theres new things on the 360 version though.

having read the review im not suprised what has happened, its always the same with pes. every new game you get great new features(new boots balls and kits in pes6) then other stuff gets taken away like the bundesliga this time,it must be terrible to be seabass all he wants to do is make the perfect football experience for all of us but every year his hands are tied.hopefully the editing section of the game is top class and we can fit all the missing teams in,on a brighter note the french league is now fully licenced up for pes6 so any ligue 1 fan will be happy.at the end of the day we all buy pes for the gameplay and that will not be surpassed by fifas licences any time soon, its getting close but not close enough. heres hoping the german fa will see the error of their ways come pes7 on ps3,until then just enjoy the game.

Thats the one thing that always seems to get better and better each year is the edit mode. With the Bundesliga being dropped, surely now there is more room on the disc to implement more features to the editing section of the game. Things like an extra logo slot or two on the kits, this way you could actually make Liverpools kit spot on with the Carlsberg and Adidas sponsors.

I just feel that if your forced into taking something as big as a whole league out, then you've got to have a big contingency plan in order to soften the blow a little.

Hopefully, but we are dealing with konami here. I wouldnt be suprised if there wasnt, a little suprise added on.

We dont want an update, we want progression

Yes, Konami are up against it in terms of licensing, but there has been an unlicensed German league in PES4 and PES5, and if the kits, badges, team names and player names are incorrect then i can't see how Konami are all of a sudden breaking any rules.:erm:

Werder Bremen, Hamburg, Schalke and Dortmund will be sorely missed.:(

spot on blue,im sure konami will have some trick up its sleeve.if you look closely at the pics from the review all the kits are last seasons so the psm3 lads not playin the finished version.maybe thats what the league c was for,20 empty spaces to put in the missing budesliga teams you never know it might be possible.i hold judgement on it until i load it up on the 27th and have a look at the editing section. the only bad part of the review was the lack of licences,im sure it wont take long for a file with all the missing teams on it to surface so theyve really no complaints about the game

Chuck Morris

True, i'm sure an option file will be whipped up very quickly, especially with the Bundesliga being removed and the whole French league now licensed......thats a total of 38 teams that don't need editing!

I'd say that within a week or two there's bound to be some sort of Beta OF floating around these forums. Hopefully Compulsion can quickly come up with an Editor for PES6 like he done with PES5.

Chuck Morris

Not being big headed or anything, but the emblems i created for the French teams on my V3 option file look better than those ones on PES6!

was gona ask did they get you in to work on them!! same again with the boots only 36spaces to use but saying that all the reebok and adidas look up to date theres 150pics to go through so maybe there be some showing the empty spaces for the missing german teams to go back into

mufcsean

is LOST
Is there only me who isn't bothered about not having the German league, i never use those teams anyway, i think it will be well worth the loss of the German league for some of the things that are going to be involved

i think the master league isnt balanced without the german league, for example my master league consists of europe north south east and central, i put prem scot and french into north, spanish portugese into south, italian greek turkish into east and german dutch and eastern european into central it makes for a better and more realistic master league. il have a hole in the master league setup this season

I'm sure once you start it won't seem that bad. At least now you will have a fully licenced Ligue Orange! This should add balance. I used to only put the bigger french teams in now i will be tempted to put them all in as they look so good... Aesthetics baby... We all love it!

It makes no difference to me about the German league, and I do not believe that the german sales figures will be that lowered becasue of it, we buy the game, and we always have for the game play. And as far as holes in the ML, who really cares if they are saying very little lag on the online mode, and it is true then I will not have time for the ML.

There are some good teams in the French league, it's just that Konami decided not to research them properly for PES5. Teams like Saint Ettiene, RC Lens, Nantes, Nice and a few others. People just normally think of the likes of Lyon, PSG, Bordeaux and Monaco when picking French teams for there ML setup.

Am I the only one who was MORE worried BEFORE reading this? I already knew the Bundesliga was taken out, but frankly, so what? I can option file it all, edited by myself or downloaded. No worries.

Also, it sounds like they've genuinely improved gameplay again, though it's subtle again. The graphics and editing system looks improved. The speed isn't as arcadey and crappy as WE10, and I for one am very pleased about that. I don't want FIFA arcadey speed. It sounds more robust, more physical and so on. The goalies also sound better.

I was actually much more concerned about gameplay issues before reading this review. So while it may need some tweaking, and yes, once more, it's far from perfect, but once more, I strongly suspect this will be my favourite ever football game.

Thanks konami.
