Player Stats Increase/Decrease

Still annoys me that some stats seem to decrease (speed in particular) when the player is still developing. It's happening with Martial for me, who's only 24 yet he's getting slower!

Mate, is it possible that this is an indicator that we are doing the training wrong? Maybe, age affects each of Tec/Phy/Spd differently and still developing indicates that technically they're still developing or something?

I don't know, to be honest. If I train him on speed, the attribute will increase. But anything else (including balanced), it'll decrease. It's a pain, especially considering he's on 90 speed at the moment, and if it drops, it'll go from orange -> yellow, and nobody wants that!

I think its Konami's attempt at more realistic player progression / regression, in particular for regens. Most of the youth players come in with good speed, but that stays fairly constant through their prime or drops slightly.

I'm not sure if that's realistic or not, but I think that's what they have tried to achieve. To be fair to them, I prefer it to the old days where most of the early regens had no pace, due to them being older players in real life.

Well I have set him on a typical Bolton diet of Carrs Pasties, donner kebabs and fish & chips, so that might have something to do with it.
