Playstation 3 online

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
I bought a ps3 yesterday, should come by tuesday.
If i want to go online, do i just stick the ethernet cable in, or do i have to get a disc like ps2 online?

When i got my ps3, an ethernet cabke came with my console.

I am connected via. WiFi but I am going to keep just in case I decide to wire up sometime :happy:

What Sully said... hardwired is the way to go. Downloading is much quicker.

Online it is absolutely rubbish
Cod4 online is the best though by far.

It lags sooo much on pes 2008 it's just not playable.

from my experience COD4 on PS3 is much slower (to find a match) than on 360...I waited around a minute or so to get a match on ps3, whereas 360 its almost instant.

Yeah, sometimes it's very quick, sometimes it's slow.

Worth it though.

i've checked both pal and ntsc virsion and still had same problem with online..can you pls help me to solve it

I contacted Konami, sent them my registration code and everything and they sorted it then.
They just sent me a new password and it was working.
